Trump to Build National Facility for Homeless Vets With Funds That Were Going to Go to Illegals
President Trump has signed an executive order to establish a national center for homeless veterans with redirected funds previously spent on services for illegal aliens!
According to Fox News, the president’s order directs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to establish the National Center for Warrior Independence on the Veterans Affairs campus in West Los Angeles.
Los Angeles has approximately 3,000 homeless veterans — more than any other city in the country, and accounting for about 10% of all homeless veterans in America, according to the White House.
“The new National Center for Warrior Independence will help them and other veterans like them rebuild their lives,” the White House said.
The center will allow veterans from around the nation to seek and receive care, benefits and services “to which they are entitled,” the White House said.
The order redirects funds previously spent on housing or other services for illegal aliens to constructing, establishing, and maintaining the new center.
“The Center will promote self-sufficiency through housing, substance abuse treatment, and support for productive work for the veterans housed there,” the White House explained.
It said the goal is to house up to 6,000 homeless veterans at the center by 2028.
The order also directs the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to use vouchers to support homeless veterans and instructs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to “restore accountability at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).”
The executive order also instructs the VA to take action against individuals who have committed misconduct and to investigate and rectify the Biden administration’s decision to “rehire and reinstate back pay for employees previously fired for misconduct.”
The order also ensures that veterans will have access to increased options for care, benefits and services — including reduced wait times for Veterans Health Administration appointments through options such as expanded hours, weekend appointments and virtual healthcare.
The order also directs a feasibility study at the Manchester VA Medical Center to expand services to support a full-service medical center in New Hampshire.
“President Trump strongly believes that every veteran deserves our gratitude, and that the federal government should treat veterans like the heroes they are,” the White House said.
The order comes a week after the White House announced that Trump will host a military parade on June 14 to honor military veterans and active-duty service members and commemorate the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday.

Our president is for Americans. I’m so glad that we elected him. But morons like Frank Dunger are wishing that we were back in the days of Biden and his ho.
Meth: Head to the roundhouse Nellie, they can’t corner you there. Have you been swimming in Rock Creek with Kennedy? Little bacteria got you down?
I am not a moron, my mom had me tested.
Biden — yes, Ho — not sure even what you mean?
If Trump is for Americans, then why does he keep trashing the Constitution to do it?
Why do you love the Felon Rapist King who can’t pass law for love nor money, but rules by edict, EO, proclamation, and penis-shaming on social media and right-wing TV? Why do you need one man to rule them all versus the Congress you elected, and where now you have the power to make law?
If he’s so for Americans, then why did he take the free jet from the Muslims? Why is he doing most of his new business outside the US?
You really believe this shit? Your crowd absolutely hates America. But MAGA is in charge now Dunger.
Meth, I’ve been out since after dark, kissing statues in the park. If Sherman’s horse can take it, so can you.
Yes, of course I believe what I said; it’s either spot on facts or my opinions. Yes, Trump’s EO’s alone are Constitutional violations even if you like the outcome. Yes, my test scores indicate I am not a moron as you believe. Yes, there are pictures of Kennedy swimming with his grandkids in a very polluted urban creek. Yes, I preferred Biden to Trump who delivered a GDP loss, not a great economy, so far. Yes , I would rather not have one man’s hand on the wheel, that’s why I prefer what the Founders set up with three branches of government with equal, but separate powers. Tariffs are the prime example where one man is making the major decisions driving our economy and he jerks it up and down based seemingly on whimsy. It’s a tax and when King George taxed us we called it taxation without representation sparking our revolution from autocracy. Now we are being taxed by one man, not our Congress, not our elected representatives charged with the responsibility and authority to tax. Not one man. People said the Founders hated America too.
Liberals do not hate America; we just have different ideas how to chart her future. We understand the MAGA has a slim lead in Congress, SCOTUS, and a slime leader in the White House. We hope for a positive outcome but see many negative choices and Congress ceding power to the President, any President is NOT what the FOUNDERS intended. If that’s hating America, so be it, but I do not think that’s the case.
And yes, currently the Trump family, Trump, are doing billions of dollars of business with Muslims including accepting a 800 million dollar gift to the President which he intends to keep. That’s not exactly a love of America, it’s a love of something, but not America.
So summing up dunger’s opinion he’s a damned fool
I am glad when any additional support to our vets is provided. It’s a great use of our tax dollar given the great service we have gotten.
BUT —- The President cannot overrule the budgetary will of Congress on a whim. And Congress should take him to task any time he attempts it. For this one, like it or not, for that aspect of his EO proclamation, is not how I envision the Constitution defines “separation of powers” between “three equal branches of government” with “separate but equal powers” as designed by the Founders, defined and documented in the Constitution.
So, he’s doing the right thing, but the wrong way, and that’s not right, or conservative.
I quote from a recent WaPo article:
“This is the great paradox of our moment: Two seemingly opposed worldviews — national conservatism and ecological progressivism — have converged on similar policy outcomes through completely different philosophical pathways. The left wants to save the planet; the right wants to preserve a mythical sense of national purity and independence. Both are willing to sacrifice economic growth to do so.”
