Outrage: James Comey’s Social Media Post Calls for Getting Rid of Trump

Former FBI Director James Comey took his hatred of President Trump to a new low by posting a cryptic message on his Instagram implying that Trump needed to be assassinated. Now he is under investigation by the Trump administration and conservatives from around the country are calling for his arrest.

James Comey, Obama’s FBI Director, is infamously remembered by conservatives as the key player in the Russia-Collusion hoax during President Trump’s first term. His investigation into the Trump campaign was an open attempt to undermine Trump’s presidency. In May 2017, President Trump fired Comey, making him the second of two FBI directors in American history who got fired.

Comey’s humiliating dismissal by Trump brought the expected result – his endless hatred of Trump, who disrupted Comey’s service to the deep state. Comey has opposed Trump ever since and publicly called for Trump’s imprisonment when Biden’s weaponized Justice Department politically targeted Trump for taking home and keeping some classified documents.

To Comedy’s bitter disappointment, Trump not only fought off the multiple politically motivated cases by the swamp but went on to win the 2024 presidential election and retake the White House. Not able to get over his craving for vengeance against Trump, Comey took his Trump Deranged Syndrome (TDS) to a new low on Thursday (May 15) as he posted an image on Instagram that appeared to call for taking out President Trump.

The image in question shows seashells on a beach arranged to spell the numbers “86 47.” Comey added a short caption to the image: “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.”

Interpreted as “getting rid of” (86) the 47th President (47), Comey’s Instagram message instantly sparked an outcry of anger and condemnation among conservatives across the nation. Given the assassination attempts on Trump last year, one of which missed him literally by inches, Comey’s post came as a call for another assassination attempt on President Trump. Seeing the backlash, Comey quickly deleted the post and restricted the visibility of his Instagram page.

However, it was too late for Comey to avoid the reaction from MAGA, including officials who rejected the suggestion that Comey didn’t mean any harm. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard told Fox News that Comey clearly knew what he was conveying via that Instagram post and it was a hit on President Trump.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi posted on X that they are aware of Comey’s social media posts and that they take rhetoric like this very seriously.

On Friday (May 16), Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that Comey is under an ongoing investigation. Noem wrote on X: “Today, federal agents from @SecretService interviewed disgraced former FBI Director Comey regarding a social media post calling for the assassination of President Trump.”

Associate Deputy Attorney General Ed Martin told conservative commentator Benny Johnson that Comey has set himself up for perjury traps and could go to the prison on one or other charge.

President Trump responded to Comey’s message by rejecting Comey’s excuse that he was ignorant of the meaning of the numbers in his message. He said it will be up to the Justice Department to deal with that dirty cop.
