The left doubles down on their failed propaganda and false narratives … yeah!!!

The left doubles down on their failed propaganda and false narratives … yeah!!!

Following left-wing media – as I am obligated to do — one is reminded of the colloquial definition of insanity – doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

The news media has long had a lean to the left — which has devolved into hardcore radical left-wing propaganda in recent years.  The stable of major port-side news outlets has included the Big Seven — ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, New York Times, and Washington Post.  It is no accident that, with the exception of the Post – they are all within walking distance of each other on the island of Manhattan.  There must be something in the air or the water.

The worst of the left-wing self-proclaimed news outlets is MSNBC.  It operates as a Democrat left-wing propaganda machine from “Way Too Early” through “The Eleventh Hour.”  Characteristics of propaganda, MSNBC provides only one perspective – censoring and canceling all other viewpoints.  Their lineup of hosts, panelists, contributors and guests are among the most radical voices in TV land.

BUT … all that propaganda, the lawfare, the false narratives could not fool all the people all the time.  While it was a close election, it was a yuge backlash and election defeat of the radical authoritarian left.  After eight years of constant drubbing by the left, Trump improved his popular vote numbers — winning the popular vote – and increasing his Electoral College vote.

If Trump’s victory was close in its depth, it was breathtaking in its breadth. He improved his vote numbers in virtually every region of America – including the blue-ist of the blue states.  He won every battleground state – even when those on the left predicted he was more likely to lose them all.  Trump gained with virtually every demographic group — Blacks, Hispanics, women, youth, Jews and even Arabs.

As if a decisive and humiliating defeat at the polls was not enough, the oracles on the left – who had assured their followers of an all but certain victory for Vice President Harris – earned the wrath of the news consuming public.  Left wing media cratered; MSNBC lost more than 55 percent of their all-important 25 to 54-year-old viewers.  The worst of the left-wing propaganda outlets – MSNBC — got hit the hardest.  Rachel Maddow, Jill Psaki, Alex Wagner and Lawrence O’Donnell recorded their lowest ratings ever.  (If this was a podcast as opposed to a commentary, you would see my best I-told-you-so gloating grin.)

Now having said all that, you might think that those on the left would be more introspective.  Maybe even changing their messages and strategies.  But noooo.  Even to my amazement, they are still spewing out the same old shopworn rhetoric.  The same old false narratives.  The same old fear-mongering.  The same old lies.

Connecticut Democrat Senator Chris Murphy appeared on MSNBC’s Alex Wagner show peddling the absurd canard that Inauguration Day 2025 will be “the last day of democracy.”  Wagner was still spinning Trump’s joke about being a dictator for one day following his inauguration as a serious authoritarian proclamation.   They are predicting the future as if every lie and mischaracterization they said about Trump in the campaign were true.   And it is not just a couple of oddballs.  Across the far left spectrum, the talking heads are talking the same talk – hoping it will produce different results in the future.

While some Democrats think they had a messaging problem, others think (rightfully) that it was an issues problem.  Those on the radical fringe seem to reject both those analyses.  Why else would they continue with the same old campaign propaganda themes and false narratives that failed so miserably?

If it is not the message or the issues, then there is only one option left.  It is the voter – too stupid or too evil to recognize the wisdom of the left.  The left is reading from the same script that was rejected by the American people.  It is political malpractice.  It is insane.  And I am delighted.

So, there ‘tis.

How about the wisdom in that old saying by Forrest Gump, ” stupid is as stupid does “. Pretty well covers those left wingers that still don’t get it that they and their politics were rejected by most of the American voters.

This article gets a general rating of BORING!!! The only question I have is, “How many times will Larry recycle the same ole crap?”

This article gets a rating of SNOOZEFEST. The Stop the Spin rating of this article is STS-4 mostly due to Larry omitting any fair and balanced discussion. The article does make for good FISH WRAP!!!

As an independent, I believe that

    1) Yes, Dems had an issues problem. They talked to high level and never got the issues down to earth where they voting peeps live. They talked about the Infrastructure Act, the Chips Act and other accomplishments that Trump did not come close to doing in his first term. But they never gave examples of how we all are benefiting and specific state examples like all of the great projects going on in red states and battleground states. They never talked about projects that will come to fruition from 2024 to 2028. They talked about The Affordable Care Act but never really gave any examples of how it has helped 20 million voters get insurance with specific examples. They were very light on prescription drug prices that have come down. On abortion, they did well to discuss it with examples of what is happening with women bleeding out on parking lots but failed to relate it generational y to mother’s with daughters, grandmas with grand daughters. etc. They talked about joy which is fine, but failed to deeply address kitchen table issues. As an independent, I get great joy out of helping Larry become a better and more honest writer for the crap he purveys, but joy does not fill the stomach or power my car or protect my rights or build my bank account. Dems also did a poor problem at countering the lies from the right such as bringing prices down which Trump even admitted he can’t really do anything about prices AFTER he was elected. But before election he sounded like the price reduction king. Harris did a good job explaining price gouging but never countered Trump’s lie. On project 2025 Dems should have had a page on their website devoted to issues with Project 2025 with links to the document so people could see for themselves.

In Harris’s defense, she did very well considering she only had 100 days. What she should have done overall is move just a little more to the center.

    2) Yes, they had a messaging problem, more specifically, a message distribution problem. They relied on traditional media news networks which Larry mentions which is ok – BUT LIKE LARRY reveals he often lives in the past with his old man thinking, Dems were living in the past glory days of traditional media where 55% of voters get their news from non-traditional social media sources.

Just look at Larry’s article. It is old, stale, and offers nothing new while totally living in what happened up to Nov 5th. We are now in Dec 21st! He even relies on an old no longer funny definition of insanity. His whole article can be filed under “senior moment”.

    3) When it comes to the networks Larry mentions, he never discusses the bull slinging networks like Fox, OMN, Newsmax, The Blaze, Breitbart, Hannity.com, OA – all of whom produce much more higher quality bullshit than the networks Larry mentions. So the networks Larry mentions are needed to balance out the bullshit networks he does not mention.

In the end, this is just one election. Reagan won all but Minnesota and Dems came back to cream the GOP under Clinton. I believe what we will see in the next four years is a real GOP shit show which Independents hate. Dems if they learn the lessons of 2024 will have much opportunity to roar back – because Trump and his right wing Project 2025 plan and his almost all white male cabinet will give them plenty of ammunition! And then they can march Trump to jail to pay his debt to society for all of his crooked tax cheating, election interfering ways.

So there ’tis – now you have both sides!

Yes SP but you do realize that Biden and the Dems had already negotiated a budget deal with the GOP. It was Musk and his puppet Trump waiting until the last moment that caused the recent budget crisis when they reneged on the negotiated budget. right? I am glad they did not get the debt ceiling lifted or eliminated. Trump should attempt that under his term so that he and the GOP can be held fully accountable. Trump has proven to be irresponsible with the country’s checkbook. You do realize that right now it is the GOP that is t he party of spending!

Speaking of intellectual or factual statements, the hidden little lie in your article is that you want people to believe that the drop in ratings by the networks you mentioned is due to the left and their false narratives and propaganda – but you cite nothing! Nor do you have any facts or credible polls on this!!! THE FACTS ARE that many people, Dems and Independents, listened to these stations to become more informed voters. Now that the vote is over, those people went back to their lives and normal routines where they listen less. I will cite myself as evidence. I do not listen to fox, msnbc, or cbs as much now because the election is over and I am on to other things. Only an elderly product of flatulence like you keeps living in the past! Even your pithy insults show no creativity and are boring!!!

Tom … Sometimes you are just ignorant of reality. You write, “THE FACTS ARE that many people, Dems and Independents, listened to these stations to become more informed voters. Now that the vote is over, those people went back to their lives and normal routines where they listen less. I will cite myself as evidence. I do not listen to fox, msnbc, or cbs as much now because the election is over and I am on to other things.” You emphasize “THE FACTS ARE…” and then offer your opinion that is devoid of the FACTS. Your theory about the drop in ratings is .. sorry to say … stupid.

Your first mistake is citing yourself. You arrogantly assume that you opinions are facts and representative of others. You talk like the drop in viewers is universal. That is your factual ignorance. CNN and MSNBC had a serious drop in post-election ratings. FOX had a significant increase. MSBNC is due to a drop in liberal viewers because 90 percent of their viewers are liberal.

You are getting more and more like Statler — and why not? He is a dummy, too.

“elderly product of flatulence …” LOL That is almost as funny as when you referred to another reader as prehistoric dinosaur dung. LOL

Larry, once again, you cannot answer the central issue I mentioned so instead you try to belittle other’s facts while you have yet to present any facts to back up your implied assumption regarding the viewership of media you do not like. Just maybe before you try debasing other’s facts, you ought to at least present some of your own. I speak with many independents. And as one myself, I am a part of that greater body of facts. You arrogantly assume that you opinions not backed up by any statistics are facts and representative of others. This is your BIG LIE!!! Again, you are recycling your opinion with NO FACTS that state exactly why viewership is down – its just your opinion!!!

Yes, I am glad that you enjoy some of my sayings. At least I put something new and fun into the mix. Why don’t you try it sometime! Glad you liked it.

Merry Christmas. Looking forward to helping you become a more honest writer in the new year.

HEY LARRY, WE KNOW WE LOST THE ELECTION. Thanks for the memories, but Why are you still trying to figure it all out? WE LOST LARRY. And in doing so, don’t you expect soul searching, name blame, and attempts to try to find our way home. Gonna take a while. Just like you did in the Great Red Wave in 2018 that wasn’t. Great job at reaching across the aisle by the way. Condemn us some more, slam us, demean us, because that’s how Democracy works well. Win-lose. Kick your neighbors when they are down and blue.

What is your major malfunction with us now that you won, control all three branches plus the Supremes? Can’t even let us cry in our beer before you continue your bitching again pouncing on every word, attached to MSNBC like a sucker fish to the shark, and bringing out the same ole Horstian attacks from the 60’s and 70’s when you were relevant to the party.

End of Democracy: you tell me. Gee, Horist, did you notice citizen Trump’s spending bill process and how the Mump Regime “administered” this most important government process. WTF was that in the definition of Democracy. Use the Musk force Luke… Trump is not President and Mush is not even elected. He is selected and would be rejected if he ever ran. They call it the Trump Administration or Biden Administration because Presidents administer government in a Democracy. Or at least they are supposed to in a democracy. I call in the Mump Regime because they just make their own law and expect everyone to say YES or be primaried or worse. Is that the Democratic process? No, it’s a regime based on the party of one. Worse yet, let an unelected billionaire take the reins. He and Trump looked at the Democratic process from outside the process, stood up at the last moment, screamed “you’re wrong,” put in their own partisan version without touching base with Congress, included a wide-open debt ceiling for Mr. Deficit himself, a blank check for himself, and then screamed “we’re gonna fucking primary you,” when their own party shot them down in flames. The stuff they screamed was just awful. And they had it shoved back in their pudgy little faces. Team Mump learned what Pelosi always knew. Democracy matters. You got to count the votes BEFORE you bring it to a vote. Especially if you don’t give them time to read it. To legislate you must negotiate instead of a Mush mandate like at his companies. Mush crashed faster than a Tesla on autopilot. And who is running the show: Trump or Mush? Is that your democracy in action? Let that Space X, X, Tesla guy take the wheel? I call it Mump because, right now, looks like Elon is on first. Yeah, a billionaire that we didn’t vote for running the government. And you tell me Democracy is hunky dory? NOT BLOODY LIKELY, based on the facts.

Trump promised the end of the Ukraine was before inauguration day, although how he can do that in a democracy boggles the mind, but shouldn’t you worry about your own deliverables. Trump promised the yugest deportation ever, 21,000,000 he said, and now he focuses on about 450,000 criminals, shouldn’t you be focusing on stuff like that? Apparently, for you, the biggest problem with your winning is that we are still here.

“they are still spewing out the same old shopworn rhetoric. The same old false narratives. The same old fear-mongering. The same old lies.” OK, way to focus on your victory and future plans as you, the winner, not the whiner, spew out the same old shopworn rhetoric. The same old false narratives. The same old fear-mongering. The same old lies. And not one hand extended across the aisle for unification. That’s Democracy all righty. Way to be magnanimous in victory. “Dictator for a day” is a joke you say. Democracy is on solid ground. Nope, I do not think so.

“If it is not the message or the issues, then there is only one option left. It is the voter – too stupid or too evil to recognize the wisdom of the left. The left is reading from the same script that was rejected by the American people. It is political malpractice. It is insane. And I am delighted.” Yup, you won, we lost, and now you rub our noses in our struggle to figure our way out of here. You read our minds which only you can do, if we do it, it’s berry berry wrong. You won and now you delight in our pain, our confusion. You are delighted not so much you won, but seemingly more so that we lost. That’s not democracy. That’s win-lose where you only win if we lose. The concept of win-win or working together for the greater good of every citizen in the land is lost on you with your petty grievances, old grudges, and need to put the dog down, step on its throat and push. Yeah, sure Democracy. Your democracy where compromise is a four-letter word. Unification is a bad church. And reaching across the aisle to achieve common purpose gets you primaried, or worse. Ask Liz. Ask Adam. Ask the hundreds more you have excommunicated in your party of one. Democracy is never about the one, it is always about everyone. You’re the big guys now, act like it.

I spell my name: danger. It’s the frank truth.

Spot on Danger!!! Another problem for Larry may be that so far the dynamic duo has not done anything good that Larry can write about. All they have done is: 1) Appoint objectionable criminals to cabinet positions, 2) Threaten 1/6 committee members, 3) Threaten media and sue ABC which in my view should not have capitulated, 4) Hyperfocused on Cheney, Kinzinger, Schiff, and a few others like special prosecutors to put on some sort of military trial, 5) revenge and coercive threat tactics to Congress, 6) insulting our northern and southern neighbors and demean them, 7) threaten to abandon Ukraine, admit that they can do little about prices, 8) threaten Judge Mershan and DA Briggs, 9) launched many flagrant law suits that will go nowhere, 10 Threatened Denmark over Greenland, 11) Threatened Panama over the canal, 12) Caused budget chaos and attempted to increase the debt limit under Biden so the duo is not accountable for spending, 13) Threaten the world with tariffs, – YUP, its a real shit show that Larry cannot write about. So he continues to recycle old grievances like the PTSD brain dead irrelevant goof ball that he is. What Larry seems very skilled at is beating a dead horse that even the maggots do not want to bother with anymore!

Larry, projection will not work. You have pointed your projectionist middle finger verbally at the right for decades. It has become phobia with you. It just one of many that plague your punditry commends. More phobias on tap are all related to the fear and in-trepidation you have that left is truly right and conservatism has had its time. Now that narrow and socially impractical inhumane ideology lacks a heart, Just consider who are those we are first to object when Congress is tasked with funding disaster aid, infrastructure improvements and upgrading development. Not the right, but the right is first when such projects come to the red districts and states. The right has no shame in practicing hypocrisy in broad daylight.
By the way, Horist, you, Republicans, and Trump especially you folks won the election last Month. The votes all tabulated fairly gave Trump/Vance the big W and the left did not challenge it, or seek restitution in any court cases.
Simply put in terms y”all know but can’t understand how it’s done. You have displayed behavior known in sports contests when winner turn on the loosing team and berate the lot of them shouting ugly epithets and accusations of cheating amd foul play. This is poor form and incivility that you the poor losers show your commonplace inelegant personality.
To the victors it’s been said, go the spoils. However, in this instance the victory is very slim but Trump has been pouncing on spoils that are not for his taking. He is assuming authority and position privileges before inauguration.
Many of the presumptive privilege over steps Trump has taken are not those seen as within his authority after January 20 and he is President.
He likes to think he won and he will be free to exact unending power that allows him command of all the U.S. of A’s might and place in the World Order. The truth be told, he is very much mistaken in his belief. What he has purposed for his presidency is far and away more extensive than any other president has even attempted to order and force others’ implementation.
When ordered by Trump all with a patriot’s backbone and will to do the right and lawful thing must reply with “NUTS”.
That reply is a time honored historic WWIi response in a time of war and during fierce battle conditions. Given an order that would go badly a ships Commander messaged back with NUTS’
Trump and the arrogant entourage that often precedes him are with him for all Trump has promised they will ( might) be given in exchange for their vote, reputation, and millions donated.
Elon Musk has been and is making a foolish clown of himself to exact influence and government contract wealth from Trump’s presidency.
This is Trump again playing a part in a play that’s more realty than his Reality TV Show.. what is painfully real has been Trump’s entry into American Government at the federal representative level as president. What his presence in governing has accomplished has been a devastatingly lethal and ultimately fatal derailment that crushed social unity. Divisions that occurs naturally in a multicultural nation that has been America for generations. These were amplified by Trump manufactured chaos, economic insecurity, and opportunity reversals affecting equality.
Should you ever see your fortunes and family were better off during Trump 1.0 and believe Trump 2.0 will be good times here again. You live in a particular Trump induced coma in which life support is tenuous with Trump’s hands on the power cord to machines that are keeping you alive. In case this illustration didn’t click in your mind, your ideology, financial economy, confidence in your politics, if not concern for other Americans all depends on that power cord’s staying plugged in. Trump’s plans for his own advancement in power’s authority, influence world wide, increased wealth for himself and his friends (?). Are you in that silo that surround the Trump’s friends tribe?
If the P0TUS is by the Constitution is President of U.S. all, what is Trump when he says he is President to just those who voted for him. Can he be the legitimate President when he does not regard all Americans equally. Listen when pledges his oath as President. Does that only apply to those who cast the red party’s ballot? If loyalty to Trump the man is the condition Trump sets for every American or else. He is treading on me and the majority of Americans while we pay our taxes and contribute to our communities.
Trump lives in a gilded tower where reality exits beyond the visible horizon. On the 20th next month Trump will be given the rare opportunity of a second chance as POTUS and the realities that must be managed in a professional manner and with diplomatic skill. Two qualities that Trump has sorely lacked in his first term.
