Six Illegals Charged in Brutal Murder of South Carolina Mom
Six illegal immigrants, including minors as young as 13, have been charged with the “random” murder of a South Carolina mom — a crime the local sheriff said, “defies any sense of decency in a civilized society.”
The five teens and a 21-year-old suspected shooter were busted on May 12, just ten days after the body of Larisha Sharrell Thompson, 40, was found fatally shot behind the wheel of her Honda Accord.
The mom of two was gunned down in a “random robbery attempt” as she drove to meet friends in Rock Hill, according to investigators.
“This shooting defies any sense of decency in a civilized society. Ms Thompson was going about her business on a Friday night, not bothering anyone,” Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile raged.
“All of a sudden, these six men and boys — out to get something for nothing from someone they did not know and had no business bothering — pulled alongside her car” and killed Thompson, he alleged.
“There’s no place in our society for acts like this or the people who commit them, and my hope is these six are never again among us.”
The suspects were busted after the 9mm pistol used to kill Thompson was linked to a burglary days earlier, with the suspects caught by surveillance footage, the sheriff said.
Along with Jeyson Sobied Pineda-Salgado, 17, Jarby Ardon Ramos-Odari, 18, and Asael Aminadas Torres-Chirinos, 21, those arrested included three juveniles — ages 13, 14, and 15 — who have not been identified because of their age.
The illegal migrants have all been charged with murder, attempted armed robbery, and second-degree burglary.
Torres-Chirinos — the accused shooter — also faces two counts of firearms possession during the commission of a crime and one count of firearms possession by an unlawful alien.
All six face removal from the US under federal law based on their immigration status, the sheriff’s office said, without detailing where they are originally from.
“Our intention is that all six remain detained until they face the full weight of our judicial system,” the sheriff said.
Thompson was working two jobs to raise her daughters, who are 12 and 20 years old, her sister, Tiffany Thompson, told Fox 8.
“It’s a lot on all of us,” the grieving sister said. “We’re numb, we’re angry, we’re sad.”

This is a horrible crime; the fact they all kept quiet means all are equally guilty. I liked what the sheriff said: “Our intention is that all six remain detained until they face the full weight of our judicial system.” And then we let ICE have them.
Bill is very factual in his reporting of this horrendous inhuman act of hate. Yet he leaves something out of his reporting through omission of facts he must know if he’s any sort of professional journalist. He is begging the thought that the undocumented are more criminal, more violent, than Americans as a greater evil amongst us. He’s spinning facts through omission of facts. If he does not mean it, then let this be a teachable moment. If he means it, he is unprofessional. I chose the former; we will monitor future efforts.
Let’s be clear, the FBI said in 2023, there were 2,000 murder-robberies. I was flabbergasted: I would have thought tens of thousands. I mean 2,000 against 30,000 deaths by gun. Go figure. Figure half are suicide, but still —- 2,000 out of 15,000. Wow, we certainly kill each other for a variety of reasons outside robbery. Guess that’s good news for 7-Eleven and WAWA night crews.
Here’s another weird fact: there is no national database on immigration status for murder arrests and convictions. Some jurisdictions do track, but definitions differ between locations. More likely to database on convictions, not arrests. Weird.
In terms of homicide, you are over twice as likely to be murdered by an indigenous specie than an immigrant, of all varieties, if you believe the State of Texas. Texas is one of the few, if not the only State to database immigration status upon arrest/trial/conviction. A 2020 study found that undocumented immigrants in Texas were roughly half as likely to be arrested for homicide as U.S.-born citizen. An analysis of Texas data from 2013-2022 found that the homicide conviction rate for undocumented immigrants was 2.2 per 100,000, while for native-born Americans it was 3.0 per 100,000. Other studies of Texas have concluded even less chances than 50%.
In raw numbers, in 2022, undocumented immigrants made up about 7.1% of the Texas population and accounted for 67, or 5%, of the 1,336 people convicted of homicide. That same year, 1,209, or 90.5%, of Texas homicide convictions were native-born Americans, who made up 82.5% of the population.
This is a horrible crime and they should pay to the fullest. Yet if journalists like Bill keep spinning these tragedies with a potential outcome that citizens fear the undocumented more than other citizens. Remember, slightly over 50% of all homicide victims know their assailant, citizens or undocumented. Just under 50% are unknown to each other. And when you use the incidence of murder by the undocumented versus citizens, against the 50% known, the possibility of being murdered by an unknown, undocumented becomes an even smaller possibility than being offed by a citizen.
Still IMO, independent of citizenry status, political party, race, whatever, still investigate, arrest, convict, and punish as the law allows, but to say or spin that the undocumented murder at a higher rate than citizens seems only in the mind of folks like Bill.
