Half-Million People Sign Petition Against the CCP’s Forced Organ Harvesting Atrocities
More than half a million people around the world have taken a public stand against one of the most shocking crimes attributed to the Chinese Communist Party. By signing a global petition, they are demanding that governments stop ignoring what many experts describe as systematic, state run forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China.
A Global Petition Gains Momentum
As of December 15, 2025, a total of 505,970 people from 34 countries have signed a petition calling on world leaders to act against forced organ harvesting carried out by the Chinese communist regime. The petition was launched in July 2024 by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting and the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China.
The organizers say the petition is meant to give ordinary people a way to act rather than remain silent in the face of what they describe as horrific transplant abuse. Their next goal is to reach one million signatures by June 2026, a target they believe is realistic given the speed at which support has grown.
What the Petition Demands
The petition urges the governments of the Group of Seven nations, the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom, to take the lead in confronting the Chinese regime. It also calls on Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan to join that effort.
Specifically, the petition asks these governments to issue a joint declaration condemning forced organ harvesting, demand its immediate end, and implement a coordinated action plan. Proposed steps include protecting citizens from traveling to China for transplants, suspending transplant related cooperation, holding annual parliamentary hearings, and launching investigations to pursue accountability.
Dr. Torsten Trey, executive director of Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting, said the petition directly reflects the will of the people. He explained that it is aimed squarely at sovereign governments and their decision makers to make clear that the public wants this abuse stopped in the civilized world.
Who Is Being Targeted
According to the petition organizers and multiple investigations, the primary victims of forced organ harvesting are prisoners of conscience. These include detained Falun Gong practitioners, Uyghurs, Tibetans, and other ethnic and religious minorities.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual practice based on truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. It was introduced to the public in China in 1992 and quickly grew to tens of millions of followers. By 1999, the Chinese Communist Party viewed the movement as a threat and launched a nationwide campaign to eliminate it. That persecution continues today, with practitioners imprisoned in detention centers, labor camps, and brainwashing facilities.
Uyghur Muslims have also been heavily targeted. The United Nations has said it has evidence that up to two million Uyghurs have been held in secret camps. Former detainees report torture, forced indoctrination, and pressure to abandon their faith. Investigators say these camps also function as organ banks, raising what tribunal lawyers have described as possible charges of genocide.
Findings of the China Tribunal
In 2019, the independent, London based China Tribunal concluded that forced organ harvesting has been carried out in China for years on a significant scale. After reviewing evidence from medical experts, human rights investigators, and witnesses, the tribunal found that Falun Gong practitioners were the primary source of organs for China’s transplant industry.
Tribunal lawyer Hamid Sabi told the United Nations that victims were killed to order, cut open while still alive so their kidneys, livers, hearts, lungs, corneas, and skin could be removed and sold. He called the practice one of the worst mass atrocities of this century and said governments have a legal obligation to act.
Mobile Death Vans and Industrialized Killing
One of the most disturbing aspects of China’s system is the use of mobile execution vans. These vehicles, which look like ordinary buses, have been used since the late 1990s. Inside, they are equipped to administer lethal injections and allow organs to be removed immediately.
Human rights groups say these vans make executions faster, more secretive, and better suited for organ harvesting. The exact number of people killed this way is unknown because execution figures are a state secret. However, rights groups estimate that China executes thousands of people each year, more than the rest of the world combined.
The speed and secrecy of these mobile executions eliminate due process entirely. There is no trial, no lawyer, and no public accountability. Critics say the vans represent the raw power of a totalitarian state that treats human beings as spare parts.
Lawmakers and Experts Begin to Respond
The petition follows a recent pledge by hundreds of lawmakers worldwide to advance legislation banning forced organ harvesting. In the United States, the House passed the Stop Forced Organ Harvesting Act in May 2025, which would impose heavy fines, long prison sentences, visa bans, and asset freezes on those involved.
Rep. Chris Smith compared the practice to Nazi medical experiments, warning that killing people for their organs will only continue without accountability. Senator Marco Rubio pledged support for the bill in the Senate. Several U.S. states have also acted, banning insurance coverage for transplants involving organs sourced from China.
Susie Hughes, executive director of the International Coalition to End Transplant Abuse in China, said the scale of the petition shows the world is no longer willing to look away. She said the evidence has been independently examined by legal, medical, and human rights experts and is widely recognized as credible.
A Crime the CCP Cannot Defend
Experts say forced organ harvesting is one crime the Chinese Communist Party cannot morally justify. Analysts note that while other actions by Beijing are sometimes defended or excused, there is no defense for killing prisoners of conscience to sell their organs.
According to multiple reports, instead of addressing the accusations, the CCP has tried to discredit victims and silence critics. Observers say this response only reinforces the conclusion that the regime knows the truth cannot withstand public scrutiny.
The petition now stands as a clear test for democratic governments. More than half a million people have already demanded action. Organizers believe millions more will follow.
For survivors, advocates, and families of victims, the issue is simple. This is not a debate about policy differences or cultural norms. It is about whether the world will confront what many describe as a state run system of killing innocent people for profit. The signatures represent a growing refusal to accept silence in the face of what may be one of the most chilling crimes of the modern era.
