Instead of Doubling Down, Trump’s DHS Scaling Down in Minnesota
Yet another setback to the conservative hopes of cleaning up American cities unwrapped this month as the Trump administration announced a drawdown of immigration enforcement in Minneapolis, MN, where leftist activists engaged in confrontation with federal (ICE) agents on the streets. While ICE still maintains a significant presence in the leftist haven of fraud and criminal outsiders, the announcement of “de-escalation” and pulling hundreds of ICE agents signifies an unofficial retreat from the mission of mass deportations.
The announcement of pulling 700 ICE agents came directly from Tom Homan, Trump’s Border czar, in the first week of February as he called the move “smarter enforcement, not less enforcement.” Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) cited Homan from his public address on February 4:
“For those who are not a national security threat or public safety risk, you are not exempt from immigration enforcement actions. If you’re in the country illegally, you are not off the table.”
But the announcement came as a blow to the spirit of conservative voters who wanted ICE to double down and not draw down on arresting and removing illegal aliens from every corner of America. The crackdown on these unwanted foreigners infesting the country was a visible indicator of the Trump administration fulfilling one of its key campaign promises. The decision to go soft on it amounted to a retreat in the public eye or, as America-First journalist Eric Spracklen put it, caving to the mob on the left.
President Trump didn’t inspire much confidence either when he sat with NBC right after Homan announced his drawdown in Minneapolis and stated that he would need the mayor of a city or the governor of a state to ask his administration for immigration enforcement. Trump said he didn’t want to just go in and enforce immigration laws in a city and he would like to be invited there.
Expecting the same leftists who are committed to harboring these illegal imports from around the world so they can replace the conservative demographic and bring down the country to invite Trump for a clean-up sounds not only unreasonable but out of touch with reality. No wonder the liberals have cheered at the announcement as a victory for their side.
Democrats are also fighting both on state and federal levels to defeat the Trump administration’s efforts of removing illegal aliens. In Minnesota, the Democrats have introduced a bill, HF 3435, before state legislature to restrict the entry of federal immigration agents in schools without presenting their identification documents and a judicial warrant. The Democrats in D.C. already have brought about a partial shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Starting last Saturday, the shutdown of funding for DHS comes as Democrats are demanding changes in the way the Trump administration conducts its immigration operations in the country.
In a statement posted to its website on February 17, DHS denounced the Democrats for putting partisan politics over the safety of Americans. The statement said:
“Shutting down the DHS means cutting off resources and funding to FEMA, TSA, the Coast Guard, and thousands of federal law enforcement officers — the men and women who stand on the front lines of protecting our homeland every single day. Democrats’ reckless partisan games jeopardizing the safety and security of the American people in the name of scoring political points.”

He claims Minneapolis was about cleaning up American cities. He wants you to hate immigrants, hate Democrats, hate, hate, hate. He lies frequently to advance his cause to get us to fight each other for his profit and gain. The truth is that before Trump got there late 2025, Minneapolis experienced a significant decrease in violent crime compared to the previous year, with major categories like murders, robberies, and aggravated assaults seeing sharp declines, according to reports in early 2026. Following a 2024 spike in homicides, 2025 is statistically a turnaround with overall violent crime returning to near-2019 levels. Dempsey is a low-life lying Pakistani ex pat. He has no credentials, education, experience to even be an opinion writer. He does not even have a bio. Just a white-washed headshot that looks like it’s been “whitened.”

Of the largest 20 cities for immigrants, MN has not one on the list. As a state, they rank dead center for unauthorized immigrants with under 200K living there, California, Texas, and Florida are at the top with between 1-2 million per state. Dempsey is only off by a factor of 10 in his lies about Minnesota.
Most illegals are Latino’s, MN’s immigrants are mostly Somalian, and most of those are born in the US by this time.
What Dempsey stokes your hate by feeding your fears is the recent uptick in interest in the MN fraud which Dempsey claims is Somali when it was led by a white woman. He lies again. This fraud started during covid, under Trump’s covid support programs and eyes. It was discovered during Biden’s watch and many arrests have been made since then. And yes, there will probably be more unless the team than can’t indict a sub sandwich drops the ball again.
But the real reason for ICEing MN is opportunity. Trump flamed your hate, feeding your fears about the fraud as if it’s an undocumented thing even suggesting that it was funding terrorism, his favorite lie. The opportunity was that this was Trump’s opportunity to get Walz, just another entry on Trump’s enemy retribution list. Dempsey agrees and tries to get you to believe his lies as well.
If you wanted the best bang for your ICE bucks, MN is the 25th place you would spend your time and money. But Dempsey lies to inflame and incite because he’s on his mission of hate stating “Expecting the same leftists who are committed to harboring these illegal imports from around the world so they can replace the conservative demographic and bring down the country.’ That’s right, brown-boy Pakistani Dempsey spews The Great (white) Replacement Theory as being the root cause of what’s NOT HAPPENING in Minnesota. So, Minnesota is a hot bed of illegals lies Dempsey. And Democrats are importing them to replace (white) citizens he lies again. As if Democrats could have that long-range strategic plan. And if they did, that they would focus on Minnesota as the crucible.
IF Dempsey is not lying, and IF that’s what Democrats are doing, and IF it’s the immigrants you want to get to stop that, then wouldn’t a prudent smart Dempsey suggest focusing on California, Texas, Florida, and New Jersey? Nope, Dempsey lies and he thinks you are stupid enough to believe him.
