‘QAnon Shaman’ of January 6 Released from Prison

Jacob Chansley, the “QAnon Shaman,” as he has been nicknamed, has been released from prison after the footage of the January 6 protest at the federal capitol showed what really happened on that day in 2020.

The footage had been hidden by the Democrat-serving January 6 committee for 2 years and was made available to media after Republicans reclaimed control of the House in January 2023.

As reported in the media, Jacob Chansley was released 14 months earlier than the official end date of his 41-month prison sentence. The federal Bureau of Prisons confirmed his release, and his attorney stated that Chansley had been taken to a halfway house.

While his attorney did not mention any role of the January 6 footage released by the Republicans, conservative media and critics of January 6 prosecutions believe the footage is exculpatory in nature, and its release led to Chansley’s release from the federal prison.

The release of complete January 6 footage, withheld from the public by the anti-Trump committee formed by Democrats with select anti-Trump Republicans of their choice, revealed what millions of conservatives critical of the mainstream media’s narrative already knew – extensive framing and manipulation of the protest by federal law enforcement targeting MAGA conservatives.

The release of the footage through Tucker Carlson of Fox News provided exculpatory evidence for January 6 defendants who have been politically imprisoned by federal authorities to intimidate conservatives from questioning election fraud or protesting publicly.

In the case of Jacob Chansley, the previously hidden footage shows Capitol cops escorting Chansley down the halls of the building and through the doors as if intentionally letting him wander around, making no effort to stop or arrest him.

After the video became public,  Chansley’s attorney demanded that his client be freed in light of the new evidence.

After the news of Chansley’s release, conservatives have started suggesting that he should sue the January 6 committee for withholding video evidence from the court that could prove his innocence.

Segments from the January 6 footage are slowly being released to the public. In a new video clip from the footage, shared on social media on Thursday, a DC cop on the rooftop appears to be masking up as ANTIFA on January 6 while his colleague assists him.

He is seen talking about going undercover as ANTIFA.

    Another one from the Dumpster.

Yes, Chansley was announced scheduled for early release after Tucker ran his tapes. The tapes had no exculpatory evidence that aided his early release. Dumpster is fantasizing again. After the self-acclaimed liar, Tucker, ran the tapes, the sun rose the next day and that too had nothing to do with Carlson or his tapes. Correlation is not causation.

If the tapes were exculpatory, and if the tapes did force his release, the guy would instantly sue for false arrest, incarceration, and terribly bad boo boo’s. There’s your acid proof of what the Shaman himself thinks.

“The footage had been hidden by the Democrat-serving January 6 committee for 2 years and was made available to media after Republicans reclaimed control of the House in January 2023.” What a flamer. Hidden from who? HE PLED GUILTY, he could have subpoenaed the tapes; the prosecution, by law, must turn over exculpatory evidence, anyone hiding it is obstructing justice. If what you say is true, there are so many crimes here that any ambulance-chasing attorney would leap at the money, on contingency for the win. It’s a no-brainer. EXCEPT he pled guilty, did not need discovery for more facts and even if it were exculpatory now, he’s not getting off; he’s getting out anyways.

Dumpster, he said he was guilty, he took full blame for his actions, explained his crimes in detail, and then apologized for his actions. Who are you to doubt him based on those tapes?

And we have crickets on pending lawsuits except from people like Dumpster — maybe he can file.

Yes, he got a third of his sentence revoked as is within reason for good behavior reductions, plus there are early release agreements in the plea bargain (Dumpster hid that news), plus whatever the prison authority normally does. Given his court statements and heartfelt apology, I am glad he is getting out and very hopeful he will not repeat. I do expect to see him active in his home state, if not on tour; he’s a radical right rock star now.

He could have a tape showing Hillary Clinton in a buffalo headdress doing everything he pled guilty to, admitting it on tape, and he still would probably not get off. That’s how our laws work, really hard to overturn a uncoerced confession. And I would bet the judge asked him about coercion.

A good journalist would already know that.

“While his attorney did not mention any role of the January 6 footage released by the Republicans…” is a lie. His lawyer specifically mentioned the LACK of any role of the clips. “…conservative media and critics of January 6 prosecutions believe the footage is exculpatory in nature, and its release led to Chansley’s release from the federal prison,” except that’s not what the prison authorities said, another lie.

From Time: “Albert Watkins, the attorney who handled Chansley’s plea and sentencing, tells TIME that the new footage did not play any role in his former client’s release. “Absolutely no,” he says. “I have seen no indication of any filings related to the new footage. There are no docket entries indicating the same.”” These are bald-faced lies by the Dumpster.

“The release of the footage through Tucker Carlson of Fox News provided exculpatory evidence for January 6 defendants who have been politically imprisoned by federal authorities to intimidate conservatives from questioning election fraud or protesting publicly.” Yeah, where are the cases?

“After the video became public, Chansley’s attorney demanded that his client be freed in light of the new evidence.” Where? When? Source?

My goodness, this story is full of fabrication, but I am glad he’s getting out given what he said in court and how he’s acted while in prison. One funny note: Chansley noted he is not like the other violent deplorables in prison. Guess you can’t judge a man by his headdress. Meanwhile, in associated news, Tennessee has stated they will arrest him if he enters the state in headdress and is visible to children under the “don’t plan trans” law :>)
