HORIST: The left sides with Iran … every time
Help remove stubborn mature fat cells

I suppose it should come as no surprise that our left-wing Democrats (but I repeat myself) are reading off the script written in Tehran.  After all, whenever there is the remotest possibility of blaming the United States in general – and President Trump specifically – you can count on the Democrats to side with each and every international critic – friend and foe, alike.  What else would one expect from the folks who refuse to stand for the National Anthem and burn the American flag like they do in Iran?

The most recent exhibition of America last mentality is over Iran.  That’s right.  Our friends on the left are ramping up their support for the Mullahs in Tehran.  They have two narratives.

The first implies that Iran is a well-intentioned nation and they are not doing any of the awful things that our intelligence community is saying – along with the intelligence communities of many of our allies.  Irani President Hassan Rouhani says that they are not attacking the oil tankers, and the American left says there is not proof of the administration’s claim.  When proof is shown, they say it is not convincing.

They brush aside the alps of evidence that Iran is a rogue nation that oppresses its own people and promotes – nay, sponsors – terrorism across the globe.  In fact, Tehran is the number one funder of the most brutal and heinous terrorist organizations on Earth, including al Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah and any number of ad hoc groups.  Those are less important than the self-flagellating attacks on America.

The second narrative is inconsistent with the first, but that makes no difference to the left.  Their negativism is not based on fact or principle – just politics.  In this version, they say that Iran may, indeed, be behind the attacks on the oil tankers – and other international crimes of violence – BUT that, too, is our fault.  They would not be doing such dastardly things if it were not for Trump’s policies – especially withdrawing from the nuclear deal.

As might be expected, Congresswoman Ilhan Omar has become the personification of that line of reasoning, and she is not subtle in her claims.  She recently tweeted:

None of this would be happening if Trump didn’t back out of the Iran nuclear deal.  America’s response should be to return to the table and reinstate the Iran nuclear deal.  Increasing tensions and threats of war serve nobody’s interests.

It would most certainly NOT serve the interests of America to continue to stand aside as Iran spreads terrorism, increases its hegemony over more real estate in the Middle East.  Passive diplomacy is precisely what got us into this situation.

And for all the left’s praise of the Iran Nuclear Deal, it was a bad deal for the United States because it allowed – and even helped finance – an increase of aggressive activities by Iran.  And, it did not prevent Iran from gaining atomic weaponry.  At best, it only delayed it.  As was true in the past, if we do not fix the problem now, it will be a much bigger problem in the future.

Should Iran ever acquire nuclear weapons, it would set off rampant nuclear proliferation of the Middle East.  There is hardly a nation in that long-troubled part of the world that would not see the need to defend themselves with a nuclear arsenal.  It would significantly increase the eventual use of nuclear weapons.

Whether it comes to limited military intervention – or more – is up to Iran.  The goal is to stop Tehran from exporting terrorism and from getting nuclear weapons BY WHATEVER MEANS POSSIBLE.  The left would take military intervention off the table.  That is just plain nuts.  That goes back to the old Washington establishment policy of “we talk, they ignore.”

One of the greatest threats to American security and world peace is the fact that we no longer believe that partisan politics ends at the water’s edge.  The left is now imposing their perceived partisan benefits on world affairs.  If that means we turn our back on the American administration to give aid and comfort to our adversaries, so be it.

If there is anything that should bring all good Americans together, it is the recognition of Iran as a rogue nation capable of terrible acts against humanity.  They exist as an international counterpoint to the very freedoms we supposedly embrace.  In terms of Iran, it is time to rally around the flag … oh … I mean OUR flag.

So, there ‘tis.

What’s next from the party of the jackass?! The irony of it all is astonishing. To press their suits and bring their finishing-school manners to the podium where they vie for the most powerful position in the free world by denigrating their own country and pointing fingers at Trump’s obtuse and confrontational style. To teach our children to be ashamed of this country while millions bleed into it from the hell that is the rest of the world. To get votes. To gain power. To hoist themselves up as they take down our sovereign citizens.

Thank you Larry – this is just one more example of the hypocrisy and I really enjoy how you put it all together.

Nancy Pelosi is a TRAITOR to the American People! The Constitution defines, “Treason against the US.. ..adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” Illegal aliens are enemies that invade our country with drugs, human trafficking, and terrorist causing death and crime to American citizens. Nancy Pelosi adheres to these enemies by voting for and providing them aid and comfort through Sanctuary policies funded by US citizen tax dollars, and refuses to protect American people by refusing to fund our border wall, leaving our borders open and unsafe. Pelosi refused to meet with Angel families, caused the government shut down then traveled on US dollars to Hawaii and Puerto Rico while 800,000 Fed workers don’t get paid, and uninvited Trump for SOTU. IMPEACH Pelosi for treason!

Fascinating! The Right sees that just ONE person that represents the entire Democrat view, as if there is only one personification of the left, just the one person. Trump is Toast in the 2020 election, so the Right is doing everything possible to try and discredit the left, including blaming the entire left based on ONE person. WOW!

I so agree with you Larry… its a shame that we’re all so divided. The right just cant seem to understand that we do have THE WORST President in history and it’ll be interesting to see how history will portray him. These last few years feels like a bad dream that we all cant wake up from. The extreme right blames everything on the Democrats and claim thats what the left does but in my opinion the more liberal minded people ate just trying to defend human rights and history shows that the Republicans are for the 1% and financial gain not for helping those in need. The rich just keep getting richer as Trump keeps making his ‘deals’ and doesnt have the compassion to be a good leader.

Oh – and one other thing guys before i go… forgive my brutal approach but know that I absolutely believe that you mean well. I don’t doubt that you want a world where happiness abounds. But I also believe that the Democratic Party is expert at pulling on your heartstrings, your human nature, and your greed, to get votes – votes for promises they’ll never be able to deliver on. So this is the bottom line… take care of your own house first and when it is running smoothly, the kids are fed and the bills are all paid, debt is under control, all that good stuff – then you can go out and invite people into your house and help them.

I think you have been bamboozled because you do not know the things our own people face. The people that in the end have to pay the bills. The middle class.

The poor and disenfranchised need a voice, they need help. And people like me do help – but with our own dollars, not yours.

Haha – I started to try and gently explain about the cabal and lockstep attitude of the left in government and what ‘personification’ means; the implausibility of paying for everyone’s healthcare and college or how they people that Trump is helping is that great swath through the middle that got raped by the worst president and his terrible healthcare plan – Obama; the arguments that suggest climate change is not so cut and dry; and the economics of feeding the world when your financial engine is strapped with regulations and taxes – but then I realized you two (Andi & Hotomi) must be living on a singular diet of CNN or you’re just kids in school that have no real sense of what it’s like to actually try to make your way in this world, run a small business, give an employee a job or fill or help an Asian college kid with perfect scores get a job. No, you clearly have no practical experience and you really don’t know what you’re talking about do you? All opinion – no foundation. Pie in the sky balony. Airheads. These things are not about Trump or climate change or paying people back… this is about waging war agains allowing the liberals to remove the systems that provided for so much prosperity and replace it with a system that puts us under the thumb of or ‘leaders’ instead of our ‘servants.’ Think of your own future, you’re kids futures, the tax burden and the collapsing economy and devastating results that will have. Protect that – and then worry about climate and the rest of the world.

Goodness gracious. I know I’m talking to a wall. Oh well, I tried.

No RedBull, you’re not talking to a complete wall. Some of us, myself included, know exactly what you’re saying. The problem as I see it is absolute ignorance to the workings of the real world..I’m an independent, have been all my adult life, and I’ve lived a long time. I’ve even voted both sides of the spectrum. But this democrat party has sucked their futures from our government for so long that when their plan for Hillary Clinton failed they saw their golden goose slipping away. I believe that president Trump will be reelected. And when that happens I believe that AG BARR will be issuing indictments and that scares some of those old democrats who have been running their games all these years. And I believe that Pelosi is at the top of the list.

Let’s take a good look. Hillary Clinton GAVE Russia 20% of our Uranium, I say gave because there’s no record of Russia paying for it. Barack Obama then gave Iran billions of dollars to stop Nuke research taking simply a promise from Iran they would stop, no inspections, nothing. Then Russia sold or gave Iran Uranium to continue their nuke research which they have done. This Iranian general has been traveling all over providing plans to kill Americans and sometimes even his own people if he suspected them. John Kerry has been running to Iran all along providing them with American intelligence. President Trump did the right thing based on the intelligence and advice of our military leaders. If he had notified congress Kerry would have told Iran immediately.
