Calls to “Eliminate” Trump Getting More Unhinged and Dangerous
In recent months, Democrats and the left-wing media have been ramping up their calls for President Trump to be removed from office immediately. They are amplifying their dubious claims that the President is, in their words, unhinged, insane, demented, and so forth. And they insist he is getting worse, as if that is even possible based on their own hysterical descriptions. They call him an existential threat to the Republic and to every citizen. He has to go now. According to them, the nation cannot wait until 2028.
One wonders how these self-proclaimed saviors of democracy manage to sound so hysterical while lecturing the rest of us about threats to the Republic. It is almost as if they believe the Constitution comes with a secret escape clause labeled “if we really dislike the guy, just eliminate him right now.” This rhetoric has become so extreme, so unprecedented, and so dangerous that it crosses every boundary of normal political discourse. Never before in modern American history have elected officials and their media allies openly mused about the immediate removal of a sitting president in language that sounds less like policy debate and more like a call to arms.
The talk about impeachment as one means to remove him persists, even though the most jaded Democrat knows that is not going to happen with the current composition of Congress. They are calling on the Cabinet to invoke the Twenty-Fifth Amendment to declare that Trump is unwell and unfit to carry out the duties of the presidency. They surely know that the Twenty-Fifth Amendment option has even less chance than impeachment. Yet they persist with the fevered insistence that the country cannot survive two more years of this presidency.
The language incites public hysteria among the gullible — and potentially incites lone-wolf extremists armed with AK15s. President Trump has already suffered two serious assassination attempts by unhinged shooters who echoed the left’s language about wanting to “eliminate” Trump to save the Republic. One might think that after such violence rhetoric would moderate. One would be wrong.
In fact, “eliminate” is exactly the word used by New Jersey Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman. During a House Budget Committee hearing, Watson Coleman declared, “If we wanted to eliminate abuse and fraud, we would eliminate the President of the United States from the office right now, and the rest of the sycophants in his administration that are allowing him to do so many illegal things.” (Emphasis added). This is not a measured call for constitutional process. It is a demand for instant action that bypasses every safeguard the Founders put in place. Impeachment and the Twenty-Fifth Amendment would take months or years even if they had any realistic chance of success — which they do not. The call to eliminate “right now” leaves only one practical option on the table, and that option is not pretty. It is called assassination.
The examples keep piling up in a manner that would be comical if it were not so reckless. Former FBI Director James Comey, never one to miss a chance to insert himself into the drama, posted a photograph on social media of seashells arranged to spell out “8647.” He captioned it innocently enough as a “cool shell formation on my beach walk.” How quaint.
The number 86, of course, is well-known slang for “get rid of” or, in darker circles, to kill. Forty-seven refers to President Trump as the forty-seventh president. The message could not have been clearer had Comey rented a billboard. Yet he professed shock that anyone would interpret it as anything but a charming seaside coincidence. One can almost hear the chuckle from the beach as the former top cop played innocent.
The recent frenzy over President Trump’s strong statements regarding Iran has only accelerated the madness. After he warned that failure to meet certain deadlines could result in “a whole civilization will die tonight,” more than seventy Democrats in Congress rushed to demand his immediate removal. Representative Ilhan Omar labeled him an “unhinged lunatic” who must be removed from office. Representative Rashida Tlaib called him a “maniac” who should be ousted without delay. Representative Jamie Raskin introduced legislation to create a commission that would work with Vice President Vance and the Cabinet to invoke the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. Representative John Larson filed articles of impeachment. Representative Mike Quigley insisted, “He must be stopped and impeached.” Representative Shri Thanedar sent a formal letter to the Cabinet urging immediate action under the Twenty-Fifth Amendment. The chorus claims the nation cannot endure two more years of what they describe as erratic, dangerous, and mentally unfit leadership. The country, they wail, is on the brink.
How thoughtful of these paragons of virtue. They lecture endlessly about threats to democracy while openly plotting to nullify the will of more than seventy-four million voters who elected Trump in 2024. It is the height of irony, or perhaps the depth of hypocrisy, that the same voices who spent years screaming about January sixth as an existential assault on the Capitol now endorse elimination rhetoric that could inspire the next unhinged shooter. This is not robust debate. This is not passionate advocacy. This is extreme, unprecedented, and profoundly dangerous incitement dressed up as concocted concern for the Republic.
The left-wing media amplifies every syllable of this hysteria, turning dubious claims into headlines and painting Trump as a clear and present danger who must be neutralized before he destroys everything. One almost expects them to hand out pitchforks with the evening news. Yet when conservatives point out the obvious connection between this rhetoric and the two prior assassination attempts, the response is predictable — denial, deflection, and accusations that it is Trump who incites violence by existing.
The ugly truth is that when elected officials and former law enforcement leaders use words like “eliminate right now,” they are not merely venting frustration. They are normalizing the unthinkable. The rhetoric has become so extreme, so unprecedented, and so dangerous that it threatens the very foundation of the Republic they claim to protect.
The American people deserve better. They deserve leaders who respect the electoral process, even when the results disappoint them. They deserve discourse that stops short of elimination fantasies. Until the left reins in this unhinged rhetoric, the danger will only grow. And if another attempt on President Trump’s life occurs, the blood will not be on the hands of some lone gunman alone. It will stain every politician and pundit who turned “eliminate” into an acceptable political option. One can only hope that the adults in the room will eventually show up — before it is too late
So, there ‘tis.

When the Commiecrats get mean we should get meaner. We have a republic to either lose or keep.
Yes, Alvin, mean, mean, mean. Just like Jesus woulda done. You have a republic to keep.
Larry, I think the chance of pulling the 25th from this band of grifters is slim; impeachment slimmer, and believe this loose talk does not help us in the midterms.
That said, I think if you can’t notice the cognitive and physical decline of this man, you are lying to yourself. He is much diminished from Trump 1.0 and was never top of game to begin with. Now he’s becoming a joke, unfortunately a bad one given he’s the most powerful man in the world. At least while in office.
Seen it, felt it, been there. Our guy wisely stepped down for the supposed good of the party, good of the nation. Frankly, he waited too long. And now it’s your guy’s turn, and based on 1/6/2021, pretty sure he’s gonna hang on until well after his time.
But, all that aside, Larry, it’s just some good old locker-room scuttlebutt talk. And you guys do the same or worse with Biden. Even 1.5 years after he left office, got cancer, spread to his bones, treatable, but it’s stage 4, you folks are beating on him for every problem you can’t solve. Freaking guy is out of office, in stage 4, getting chemo, and you are still on him like stink on shit.
In the past year alone, stringing a few Trumpisms together: Trump’s Crooked Sleepy Joe is a mentally retarded decrepit corpse incapable of signing his own name. At least that’s what our President says. Trackers have him dissing Biden 6.32 times each day for his first year. He is still going strong in his second year too.
Give it a rest, Spanky. Get some thicker skin. If you can’t take it, don’t dish it out first, foremost, loud, and stupid. Better yet, let’s set a new standard for decorum. What the fuck.
Frank Danger … Trump is ten years older than he was when he took office in 2016. If course he has aged. But his more than mentally competent to serve as president. He not mentally or psychologically impaired as all the dishonest armchair doctors claim. Biden was in significant mental decline. And that has been generally conceded by those working with him. Those who think the will of the voters should be overturned based on politics at the unhinged ones.
“But his (sic) more than mentally competent to serve as president.” I wonder about his competency when I see his words and actions. I mean all Presidents gaff, but these are getting really weird. His explanations often are weirder. Trump as Jesus saving John Stewart meme? His explain is he’s a doctor. Apparently a doctor dressed from the “The Robe” holding a glowing orb of medicine…. The next morning after those loony tunes and it’s a meme of Trump being blessed and hugged by Jesus as he posts every hour or two throughout the entire night. Seems one egg short of a dozen to me.
There’s Trump versus the Pope, the “WEAK on Crime, and terrible for Foreign Policy” pope. This strange trip we are on re: the on/off/on again Iran War started for “pick-of-the-day” rationales, up to a dozen reasons and counting. This guy wants Denmark to give us Greenland? This guy blockaded the Strait, blockaded VZ and has a blockade on Cuba. Who blockades? What is it, like the 1800’s? Just his words alone are off the mark of sanity. He tells the Japanese Prime Minister “Who knows better about surprise than Japan? Why didn’t you tell me about Pearl Harbor.” Is that sane? He was barely old enough to be told. He calls Greenland Iceland. Gulf of Hormuz is Gulf of Iran. “Open the Fuckin’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH!” “Most importantly, their longtime ‘Leaders’ are no longer with us, praise be to Allah!” “a whole civilization will die tonight.” Sure seems a brick shy of a wall to me.
He claimed Rob Reiner was killed “due to the anger he caused” by opposing Trump. When Mueller, former F.B.I. director and special counsel, dies, Trump says, “Good, I’m glad he’s dead.” What sane person says that? Much less the leader of the free world. Sure seems like one oar out of the water to me.
He claims he’s really smart. How many, sane, smart people do that? He says “Iran’s New Regime President” was “much less Radicalized and far more intelligent than his predecessors.” Uh, it was the Supreme Leader who died, not a Regime President. The President of Iran did not die.
For his friends he done thinks done him wrong: “They’re stupid people, they know it, their families know it, and everyone else knows it, too!” He threw the crazy charge back at them. “They’re NUT JOBS, TROUBLEMAKERS, and will say anything necessary for some ‘free’ and cheap publicity” are the words for Tucker Carlson, Ms. Owens, Alex Jones, and Megyn Kelly. Is it sane to shit where you eat? That’s just whack.
Somehow you can diagnose Biden from your armchair, you have his folks replete with comments confirming, but Trump is sharp as ever seems a farfetched notion to see one but not the other. The fact Trump’s current people have not commented means little; they are loyal sycophants. His past people have commented a lot and many say he’s batshit crazy. Literally one or more have said that.
“Those who think the will of the voters should be overturned based on politics at the unhinged ones.” You had no issue with that sentiment for Biden. Is it more unhinged than you guys who feel the vote shows you had a mandate? And by not listening to us, by not even entertaining any ideas from us, by never compromising with us, you think that’s less unhinged? I think the standard is the man’s grasp of reality, not the vote. Crazy is the metric, not did the voters elect a guy gone crazy so let it stand. The reasons they voted for him may have changed given the changes in the man. Especially it his mental abilities fall into question.
You’re talking about a guy who claims his Brooklyn-born Dad was born in Germany. Multiple times and venues. He does not know where his dad was born. How sane is that? Just a gaff? His dad was born in the Bronx. His grandfather was born in Germany. He repeats an invented story about his uncle, an M.I.T. professor, telling him about teaching the terrorist known as the Unabomber. It’s crazy untrue. In court he even identified a picture of EJ Carroll as being his first wife. Not sure he even knew why he was there. Crazy.
He often veers off on odd tangents, how about 8 minutes at a Christmas reception on poisonous snakes in Peru or a long treatise during a cabinet meeting about Sharpie pens, where all the advisors smiled and bobbed their heads. Or an interruption of his Iran war update to praise the White House drapes he picked and the fact he liked gold. (I think they are the Roosevelt drapes from storage if the same from Trump 1.0). He has confused Greenland with Iceland and boasted of ending a fictional war between Cambodia and Armenia, two countries separated by nearly 4,000 miles. (He probably meant Armenia and Azerbaijan where the treaty draft of March 2025 is still a draft being worked on in April of 2026.)
If you think he, and the US makes a lot of sense right now, all I can say is the world differs. Pretty sure, in general, the world thinks America is crazy right now. A 2026 Gallup report shows U.S. favorability at only 40%, with 59% holding an unfavorable view, noting a decline in global standing. Other countries frequently perceive us unreliable, unstable, and a deeply polarized global force. There are increased perceptions of us as a “threat” rather than an ally in a number of nations which is driven by distrust of our leadership.
I still say impeachment at the 25th are not going to happen and, worse yet, will not help us to promote before the midterms. Democrats need to focus on issues affecting Americans, not the President.
You want “for the good of the nation”? Then every DemocRat ever should resign, confess to anything they have to confess to, etc. Leftism should not exist, it’s the enemy of liberty, even liberty for all the whiney and freakazoid groups that the left thinks it owns.
Wow, the crazy left is getting worse. Funny, they said nothing with brain dead Joe was in office letting millions of illegals walk into our nation. The Dems just don’t know what to do when they are not in power. They and their friends in the print and electronic media suffer a lot from TDS. We only have another two and half years to try to put the country back on a stable footing. We desperately need the SAVE Act passed. If not passed while Trump is in office, we may never have an honest election again. Biden and the lefties let in millions and now they want to make them citizens so they can all vote for the DemaRATs.
