Trump Reacts to Assassination Attempt. “It’s a Dangerous Job”

The annual White House Correspondence Dinner was disrupted by a nutcase shooter attempting to get into the main dining room with a shotgun, two handguns and knives. He did not bring the knives to cut a steak. He shot a Secret Service agent who fortunately was wearing a bulletproof vest.

Scores of Secret Service and AR-15 carrying police popped up like crocus in springtime to usher President Trump, First Lady Melania, Vice President Vance and others to a safe location, the 1000+ guests dived under tables and hid behind chairs.

Fortunately, the assailant never got into the main room. Other than a slightly injured Secret Service agent, no one was hurt.

We are still learning more about the shooter, but it seems quite clear that this was an attempted assassination of the President of the United States – and anyone else he could take down before being neutralized.

His name is Col Tomas Allen — and his profile gives some indication of his potential motive and the target of his grievances. He is registered Democrat and donor to the Kamala Harris presidential campaign. But he also left behind a grievance manifesto directed at President Trump and his administration. Of course, that in and of itself does not suggest a potential presidential assassin. More relevant is the fact that he is obviously mentally ill. The traits merely inform and direct his mental malignancy. While it is obvious from the manifesto hat he wanted to kill Trump, he may have selected the occasion in the hope of killing off high level cabinet members.

Reports describe Allen as a very intelligent person – a school teacher in Torrance, California. He has even been honored as “teacher of the month.” But the manner in which he attempted to assassinate Trump suggest someone who is not very bright. If he had any plan at all, it was a very foolish one. Did he really think he could simply rush through the line at one of the most protected events in the world? He got stopped that the first line of defense.

What is most concerning is the fact that something motivated his nutcase to actually attempt a presidential assassination. Some thing filled him with such hatred and fear, that he saw killing Trump as something that was necessary. I addressed that issue in a previous commentary. Allen was motivated by the same things that motivated Trump’s previous would be assassins. It is what motivated the killer of Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk.

I addressed the issue in a previous commentary less than one week ago – headlined “Calls to ‘Eliminate’ Trump Getting More Unhinged and Dangerous.”

Democrats, the left-leaning media and the greater political establishment have been demonizing Trump in the most extreme hyperbolic language – declaring him to a threat to American democracy, a dictator in the making who will bring down the Republic. None of that is true. That language is reckless and dangerous. We know that it motivates the nutcases to violence. We have seen this movie before. Trump’s two previous assassins and Kirk’s killer admitted as much.

The most horrible aspect of the demonization is that those who make such mendacious accusations against Trump also know the potential consequences of their words – and they do not care. Their words amount to incitement.

Consider the photo at the top of this commentary that was taken outside the White House Correspondence Dinner after the attempted assassination. One of my more hardcore left-wing friends told me that the real tragedy was that Allen was stopped before killing Trump. Consider nutcase left-wing influencer Hasan Piker – the darling of Democrat politicians and left-wing media — who expresses sympathy for Luigi Mangione, who shot the United Healthcare chief executive officer in the back in cold blood. That is the kind of thinking that radical left-wing Democrats foster. In many ways, they are as unhinged as the shooters they inspire. Of course, those express those hateful lies would never lift a hand in violence. But they have no moral reservation in encouraging other.

They really have to stop the reckless, dangerous and violent rhetoric. I just fear they will not.

So, there ‘tis.

Remember how often Larry rails on people for reading other people’s minds, especially Larry’s? He even claims their wronging him when they support their claims with his written words. Here he states: “Allen was motivated by the same things that motivated Trump’s previous would be (sic) assassins. It is what motivated the killer of Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk.” I guarantee he’s pulling that fake-factoid out of his ass and has zero factual support. Charlie Kirk’s assassination was by a guy from a Republican house who had a beef about Kirk’s anti-gay, trans stand. The assassin’s grandmother could not think of a single Democrat in the entire family. The assassin was not a member of any political party. The Butler assassin was a Republican but the assassination has not yet been deemed political. Can find no political bias by the FL bush shooter, seems just a disenfranchised nut.

“Their words amount to incitement.” Oh come on. Have you ever seen such a one-sided, blind-sided bunch of hoop-la. This guy supports the biggest inciter of them all, the guy who elevated hate-speak to the bully pulpit, and he’s clamoring on about some folks from Congress. Come on man, look in the mirror. Look both ways before crossing this street. You started it, you created this arms race, and now you whine about the results you are a major part of?

What’s next, kumbaya, give peace a chance, let’s all work together? You first.

“One of my more hardcore left-wing friends told me that the real tragedy was that Allen was stopped before killing Trump.” Shouldn’t that be ex-friend? And you just let that one go by? None of my friends would dare say that, especially around me.

Larry’s big about using the last 45 years to prove his fractured fairytales about the imminent dangerS of Iran. How about the last 75 years to prove his incitement to political violence in America.

    Some recent events:
June 2025: Democrat State Legislator Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot dead by an ICE wannabee, after he wounded Democrat Legislator John Hoffman and his wife. Vance Luther Boelter, a evangelist anti-abortion, anti-trans guy and Republican, just like many here. He had a enemies list of 70 Democrats.

Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro’s home, with his entire family was set on fire in April of 2025 by Cody Balmer now serving 25-50 years after the family and 15 guests were asleep as he tried to burn them up as they slept. In 2024, he tried to convince his family to vote Trump. I can go on. And on. Do you really think we should brand US parties as terrorist organizations. Can you really be that stupid, that biased, that hatful, that inciteful?

Look at CATO who Media Bias says: “Overall, we rate the Cato Institute Right-Center Biased. While Cato’s economic and environmental positions are strongly right, they also hold liberal positions on immigration and social liberty issues. On the whole, this places them Right-Center as we weigh economic theory more heavily in the overall score. We also rate them High for factual reporting due to proper sourcing of information and recognizing the consensus of science.”

Their conclusion, based on US terrorist attacks from 1975 to 2025: “Islamists were the deadliest terrorists by ideology, responsible for 3,118 killings, or 87 percent of the total; followed by right-wing terrorists with 363 killings, accounting for 10 percent; left-wing terrorists with 68 killings, accounting for 2 percent; and the other ideologies combined, accounting for about 1 percent.”

But wait, there’s more. If you exclude 9/11, the conclusion is: “189 killers murdered 598 people during the entire 51-year period. Another effect of removing 9/11 is the reduction in the Islamist share of all deaths from 87 percent of the total to just 23 percent. Similarly, the share of victims from right-wing attacks grew from 10 percent to 61 percent, the highest of all murders. The share of left-wing attacks also increased more than fivefold, from 2 percent to 11 percent. Figure 2 is more useful than Figure 1 because the annual variation since 2009 really shows up when the deaths from the 9/11 attacks are removed, but the death toll from the Oklahoma City bombing still dominates.”

Now they take out Oklahoma to conclude: “This reduces the total number of killers to 186 and total number of deaths to 430. The only decline in ideological killings from this refinement is for those committed by right-wingers because that was the ideological motivation of the Oklahoma City bombing. Excluding its 168 victims reduces the number of right-wing victims by about 45 percent and means that right-wing terrorists are now responsible for 195 deaths and 45 percent of the total. Islamist terrorists are the second deadliest, followed by left-wingers.”

Basically, no matter how you look at it, you should be the last people on Earth suggesting we brand the other political party as terrorists.

Be careful what you ask for.

I spell my name: DANGER. Let me be Frank: BUSTED, for being small instead of looking at the big picture.

Since when is telling the truth considered rooting against America. Come on, show us the money — show us where I am rooting against America. Oh wait, you’re one of those red-hatted trash rats that lives on lies, right? You don’t trust our institutions, you think the news all fake, scientists and doctors are quacks, and live for the lies that you can get in one place. You think prices are low, factory jobs are high, gas has never been cheaper while you live on steak and eggs for breakfast. One of the proud, loyal, 35% now turned into 18% approval chumps. Getting kinda lonely, ain’t it.

Won’t hold my breadth that you can support your stupid claim.
