The Rise of the Tech Oligarchy – The First Overt Collusion of Big Tech

We have seen the likes of Twitter, Google and Facebook censor conservative speech throughout the whole election. But until now, they hadn’t revealed the depth of the conspiracy and how closely they were colluding to prevent Trump from gaining a second term.  The Big Tech Oligarchy has stepped from behind the curtain and is taking a bow.

After all, they have just gained all of the power they need by manipulating the elections, they don’t have to hide. Nothing can touch them.

As you have seen, a conservative alternative to Facebook, a quickly growing company called Parler is being crushed in a coordinated effort to pull all of its business connections. You read more about it here:

Parler, which had over 1.5 million signups in the past few months, not only lost its hosting, but their marketing avenues were cut, their law firm resigned and other vendors are now refusing to work with them. The Parler app has been withdrawn from the Google app store, while TikTok, the company outed as a tool of Chinese intelligence, remains. Perhaps we could draw a parallel to Jack Ma’s months-long (so far) disappearance in China because he criticized the Chinese government. Now in America, if you disagree with the Oligarchy, they will just take you out.

The new development is that they worked together to get this done in a coordinated surprise attack. Everything happened within a few hours. The power of these companies is immense.

So America has a new oligarchy. Its overt members are Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, Jeff Bezos, Sergey Brin and Larry Page.

These are the people who control American thought. They can buy elections, they can buy politicians, they can censor any growing opposition to their own political views.

They were not elected to any political office. These are people who show amazing technical and business acumen in building their fortunes.

But they show no particular genius in their points of view. In fact, their lack of understanding of the threats to America from without and within (particularly their own activism) is incredulous. They don’t understand that the exceptionalism of America (which is ABSOLUTELY real) is in our freedoms and abilities to fight, compete, and work hard to make ourselves and our country better.

Is there a way to stop this? I don’t know. The Oligarchy has collective resources of over $2 Trillion to work with. They now control both houses of Congress and the Presidency (don’t think for a second that Biden is, in any way, his own man). This means that the Department of Justice will not investigate them for any kinds of illegal manipulation of the elections, nor will they be investigated for anti-trust violations. It means that Congress will not cancel their immunity from lawsuits for interfering with free speech.

Will they be able to prevent changes in the House and Senate from happening in the mid-term elections? There is nothing to stop them. Literally.

Will they be successful in keeping Trump out of the political limelight? Hard to say. If Parler can stand up again, perhaps we have a chance.

To paraphrase a Star Wars passage:

To be realistic, I think we are going to have to accept Oligarchy control for the time being.

Does this frighten you?

Larry, what happened to all the comments? I mean think at one time there were over 20 comments on this article.
I told all my Reddit friends about how awesome your blog is. I noticed some of them came over and gave you some much deserved clicks. If you keep erasing their comments, they aren’t going to come back.

Any way, Republicans loosened anti monopoly laws that have allowed big tech to run amuck. Senator Warren has long proposed breaking them up. But y’all branded her a socialist.
Also, trump has advocated for eliminating rule 203, which protects websites from things their users post. This is partially playing into the purge of right wing terrorist’s accounts.
Republicans have long argued businesses should be able to refuse service based on firmly held beliefs. I guess they believe in Democracy.
And finally , The First amendment protects citizens from the government limiting free speech, it does not guarantee you won’t face backlash for the things you say.
