Obama Administration Bullies its way towards Climate Change Policies
According to a recent House committee report, the Obama Administration ordered officials to thwart a congressional inquiry into radiation research, fired a top scientist, and intimidated Department of Energy staff to push Obama’s climate change agenda before the end of his term.
This report comes from the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology.
“Instead of providing the type of scientific information needed by Congress to legislate effectively, senior departmental officials sought to hide information, lobbied against legislation, and retaliated against a scientist for being forthcoming,” said Rep. Lamar Smith (R-TX), chairman of the committee.
This caustic analysis is associated with congressional efforts to oversee the Low Dose Radiation Research Program – a project aimed to test the effects of radiation on humans. The experiment, which began during the 1990s, was designed to improve our handling of nuclear weapons and waste cleanup.
The aforementioned scientist – Dr. Noelle Metting – was fired after she testified during a briefing on the topic in 2014. The report states that she was “removed…from federal service for allegedly providing too much information in response to questions posed by” Congress.
The report proves that the Obama Administration plotted to defeat legislation in order to secure funding for its controversial climate change agenda and exposes efforts to censor information before it reached Congress.
Congress now recommends a full restructuring of the DoE management structure.
Editor’s note: The blatant silencing of dissenting opinions is disturbing. This is on par with the IRS scandal and the action of Loretta Lynch to avoid responsibility for prosecuting Hillary’s crimes.
