Long Road Ahead for Trump-Crazed Critics

Long Road Ahead for Trump-Crazed Critics

The left-wing establishment is having a collective meltdown. Again?  This time, it is not just the usual eye-rolling and headshaking.  It is full-blown apoplexy. The kind that makes you wonder if the entire progressive and media establishment needs a national group therapy session. Or at least a prescription.

Donald Trump, having won reelection in 2024 (yes, that happened—take a deep breath), is back in the Oval Office.  And the reaction from the left is nothing short of operatic. The Democrats, their media cheerleaders, and the activist class are hyperventilating at every syllable that escapes Trump’s mouth. If he tweets “good morning,” they call it fascism. If he sneezes, it is a constitutional crisis. If he smiles, it is clearly a coded message to White supremacists. And in all things, it is Nazism and Gestapo tactics.  The hysteria is so thick you could spread it on toast.  Compared to today’s Democrats, Chicken Little would have been a calming influence.

MSNBC, bless their hearts, isa 24/7 panic room. The entire lineup—from the perpetually outraged Nicolle Wallace to the theatrically indignant Lawrence O’Donnell—is in a state of emotional collapse. O’Donnell, in a particularly Shakespearean twist, has even turned his ire on fellow left-wing media outlets for not being tough enough on Trump. That is right, he is angry that his hyperbolic outrage is not shared across the media sphere. It’s like watching someone scream at a fire for not burning hot enough.

And what about all those calls for “increased toughness” against Trump? They are multiplying like rabbits. Every pundit with a podcast and a thesaurus is demanding action – Impeachment … invoking the 25th Amendment … removal from office by force. Some are even diagnosing Trump as mentally unfit (as if that is a fresh take). It’s the same tired playbook they have been running since 2016, only now with more volume and less coherence.

Let us pause here for a moment of clarity. Trump won fair and square. The American people—millions of them (me included)—voted for him. And the left is still perplexed, wondering how that happened.  They might want to look in the mirror. The nonstop demonization of Trump and the millions who voted for him … the over-the-top accusations … and the comparisons to Hitler (yes, they’ are doing that again) have all backfired. The average voter does not want to be lectured by self-important elitist talking heads who literally, but absurdly, accuse Trump of being a political anti-Christ destined to bring down the American public – and characterizing his voters as ignorant, sexist. xenophobic, homophobic racists, Nazi, White supremacists.  (Did I miss any?)

Nuance is not the strong suit of today’s progressive media. They prefer mob-style politics, complete with torches, pitchforks, and hashtags – plus guns and Molotov cocktails. They have become a political mob masquerading as journalists – inciting more than informing. Their extreme fearmongering is not just dividing the nation.  They are actively encouraging left-wing violence as a “legitimate” response to their own exaggerated caricatures of Trump and the GOP. It is performance art with a dangerous edge.

Some voices on the left are now saying Trump “cannot be allowed to serve out his term.” Ominous, to say the least. As if the Constitution is just a suggestion and elections are optional. The irony is rich.  The self-proclaimed defenders of democracy are now openly fantasizing about subverting it.

Oh …  and let us not forget the current political epidemic, Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS). It is spreading faster than a TikTok dance challenge – and becoming more serious. The symptoms include irrational rage, obsessive MSNBC viewing, and the inability to accept the fact of a Trump presidency. It is about time we put TDS in the DSM-5 and start prescribing anti-delusional medications.

Here’s the inconvenient truth for the left. Trump has more than three years left in his term.  (The walling sound you hear is Democrat despair.)   He is not going to acquiesce to left-wing wishes and policies. He is going to push the limits of presidential power to advance his agenda.  And unless the critics want to spend the next 39 month in a state of perpetual emotional collapse, they might want to consider a new strategy—one that does not involve screaming “Nazi!” every time Trump orders German chocolate cake for lunch.

If this is how unhinged Democrat leaders are now, one can only imagine the level of hysteria we will see in the next three-plus years. (Do not try.  It is actually unimaginable.)  Is it possible that Democrats will go so bat guano crazy that they will fail to take control of the House in 2026? A virtual slam dunk, in my judgment.

Trump, love him or loathe him, is still at the helm – and will be for years.  A lifetime for Trump-crazed emotionally impaired Resistance Movement types — unless they seek professional help.  In the meantime, the rest of America – the sane folks — will carry on. We will go to work, raise families, and tune out the noise and the nonsense. While the left-wing Democrat establishment is busy tilting at windmills, the rational folks are moving on.

So, there ‘tis.

The Democratic party and its deranged left will continue to be in denial because they have built a world within their minds that is their reality. They are no different than a 6-year-old playing pretend in their make-believe world filled with rainbows and unicorns. A world without rules and rails. A world that is amoral and subjective. A world that can only exist in a child’s bedroom where the adults are not allowed.

The children of the left indoctrinated by the Democratic party are orphans that have failed to (or refused to) merit the right of passage into adulthood and self-responsibility that accept rule and rails that make up a social order… but instead they want to construct their own social order without civility and without the wisdom of adults , but an order based in savagery of might makes right. They are no different than those child characters in the novel “Lord of the Flies.”

Indeed, the adults represent rules and rails of which the children rebel against. Adults are the spoilers that bring social order. Enforcement of the laws become fascism, and social order becomes oppression in the eyes of children.
