Jewish Rabbis Livid Over Biden’s Lesbian Pick!

Jewish Rabbis Livid Over Biden’s Lesbian Pick!

Has Joe Biden’s championing of the LGBTQ community gone too far? An organization of Orthodox Rabbis seems to think so.

A coalition that represents some 1,500 Orthodox Jewish rabbis condemned President Biden’s move to nominate Rabbi Sharon Kleinbaum, a leader of the LGBTQ-focused Congregation Beit Simchat Torah, to the U.S. Coalition on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF), saying it sends a “counter-productive” message amid threats to religious freedom.

Kleinbaum is the spouse of the well-known President of the American Federation of Teachers, Randi Weingarten.

“A person’s sexual preferences should be a private matter and certainly irrelevant to prayer. Kleinbaum, by contrast, leads a congregation that insists ‘LGBTQ’ is a matter of identity,” Rabbi Yaakov Menken, the managing director at the Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), told Fox News regarding Biden’s announcement. “At a time when religious people are persecuted worldwide for their personal, sincere beliefs that marriage is between a man and a woman, and gender is permanent, biological, and determined at conception, placing Kleinbaum on a commission devoted to ensuring religious freedom sends precisely the wrong message and could hardly be more counter-productive.”

Critics have said Biden’s championing of LGBTQ issues has come at the expense of religious freedom concerns. Under Biden, the Department of Health and Human Services fought to resurrect a federal mandate forcing Roman Catholic hospitals and doctors to perform transgender surgery after a court ruled in favor of the Catholic health providers.

“It is troubling that this administration is going after religious doctors, hospitals, and nuns. We saw it with the Little Sisters of the Poor when the government tried to force them to provide contraceptives and abortions, and now this administration is trying to do the same thing with controversial gender transition procedures,” Luke Goodrich, a vice president and senior counsel at the religious law firm Becket, said after HHS appealed the decision in April.

In his announcement on Kleinbaum, Biden praised the Rabbi as “a powerful voice in the movement for equality and justice for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and expressions.” He also noted that Kleinbaum has served on New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s Faith-Based Advisory Council.

WOW! What a huge… nothingburger… An ultraright religious person upset because a gay person is doing what was traditionally straight white male territory. Like that doesn’t happen every day with ALL of the other religions. But somehow, she became a rabbi herself, so at least some people in whatever branch of Judaism accept her. But hardly a newsworthy event.

The story was not intended to be phobia on her sexual preferences as to who to choice as a partner. It goes deeper, in a time when democrats closed small businesses destroying them, they closed houses of worship but allowed thousands to gather and burn down cities by acts of terrorism then praised them as heroes despite their goal to over throw our republic for communism. The laws interfered with religious rights basic religious values and beliefs. Most religious groups are today gender neutral in judging what people actually do as it is their business. The real issues are the endless acts added daily to end personal liberties under a political party that worships a Global Socialist country under the UN wet dream the their stolen phrase from WWI the new world order. The churches are liberal except some of my catholic faith leaders, Islam, and etc. look closely please, they forced Marxist indoctrination on innocent children and the same military they plan to defund modernization, they told us we could not go to house of worship when we needed them the most due to lock downs and family separations, the allow only limited information on the illegal criminal acts they openly commit without challenge, they want a mileage tax to limit driving

The USA is so screwed up from the BIDENLESS group of dummies that we are headed for the trash-bin!! There MUST be a way to go deeper into the FAKE win by the DUMBOCRAPS,,,and a way to DUMP them!! We are headed for disaster, on a DOWNHILL RUN that will not stop as long as IDIOTS are calling the shots!! I had hopes that someone could grab the bull by the horns and get USA headed in the right direction!! Sadly, that is not going to happen as long as DINGBAT and DUMMY are in office!! The entire DUMBOCRAP party is crooked, and don’t even try to hide it!! WE NEED TRUMP,,,NOW!!!!! HONESTY IS STILL A VIRTUE,,WE JUST WILL NEVER SEE IT IN THE DUMBOCRAPS PARTY!! Each of them is doing their best to become LEAD JACKASS!!

Since when did Democrats close businesses and churches? If Trump had been honest about the COVID virus, they may have only had to shut down for a short time. But, no, Trump didn’t want to admit that COVID happened while he was President, and ignored it until it became a really big problem in the US. His actions extended the pandemic in the USA, and made it worse by convincing his followers that it wasn’t that bad.

Imagine if Trump had done the right thing and said “this new virus has the potential to be REALLY bad, we need to wear masks and social distance, do your duty and help protect all your neighbors… we’re gonna lose some people, but let’s prevent it as much as possible”… If he had done that, maybe only 50,000 would have died, and once the vaccine was available everyone would have gotten it and COVID would have gone away… No anti-maskers, no anti-vaxxers, maybe 95% of people would have the shots by now… we wouldn’t be endangering our children in a second school year now. And I’ll tell you what – if he had done those things, he probably would be President right now, not the failed loser that he is. He’s a selfish narcissitic psychopath whose only talent is making people believe his lies, not a true leader.

And the same people who are saying Biden’s pick interferes with their freedom of religion are criticizing Rabbi Kleinbaum and her congregation for choosing who they want as their spiritual leader. That’s really the whole point of Biden’s pick, to showcase people who had the freedom to choose. And can the crap about Marxism and Socialism – besides not understanding either one, you’re just repeating right-winged rhetoric from FOX News and OANN (created by a rich Trump supporter to knock down accusations of Russian election interference).

First, she’s not a real rabbi, she’s a counterfeit. God decreed that males would hold that office. Second, she and her congregation are in violation of God’s law, which condemns the homosexual perversion: Lev 18:22 “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.” She’s not a rabbi, she’s a tool of Satan.

      • Joe S Bruder

Uh… I don’t think she lies with “mankind” either. And I’m not an expert on the Bible, but don’t believe that the it says anything about women shacking up with women.

And when and where, exactly, did God say that only men could “hold the office” of rabbi? Please, enlighten us about Jewish law.

By the way, are you Jewish? Or an expert on Jewish law?

        • Mac Ewing

Joe read the first chapter of Romans. And be sure to take it for what it says. It speaks of people in the last days before Christ returns that people would leave their natural affections and it mentions men with men and women with women. But I also know that being gay isn’t the worst sin but it’s listed as being sinful in the Bible. I also know that myself and everyone else are sinners. I’m going to correct myself here. Having gay feelings isn’t sinful since we can’t control our thoughts. But acting on it is wrong. Don’t get pissed at me. I didn’t write the book. But I happen to believe it. And being gay is either demon possession or mental illness.

          • Ben

Mac, luckily for us, the rule of law dictates our nation, not a fictionalized memoir. We aren’t mad at you for writing a book, we are mad at you for trying to use a book to justify your prejudices and shame fellow citizens. Enjoy your book, leave us out of it.

Oh, and there’s no reason to correct yourself in a post. Simply go back to what you changed your mind on and erase it.

    • Tom

Well I may agree that there are more pressing issues and stories, the attack on God and His people of faith is being noticed. If you want to find out how God feels about LGBTQ, just go to Deuteronomy 22:5. He abhors it. So now with her on this coalition, God will probably ignore it as well. What this does do is give LGBTQ legitimacy as an alternative life style and takes it out of the realm in which it belongs – perversion. This is not about homophobia or white supremacy / employment opportunities.

      • Joe S Bruder

And who wrote Deuteronomy? Supposedly Moses. Doesn’t that make it the word of Moses? Or are you saying Moses is God? Wasn’t Moses excluded from the Promised Land for doubting God, or something like that? Why does he get to write the laws for Jews if he was banned from going to Israel?

And finally, JUST BECAUSE IT’S WRITTEN DOWN DOESN’T MEAN IT’S TRUE! It’s 5000 year old writings of a possible madman who saw a bush burning but not burning, and who went up in the mountains to talk to God and come down with yet another set of laws. Sounds more like an authoritarian control freak to me.

      • Ben

Tom, for your reading pleasure , Also from Deuteronomy,

“If two men are fighting and the wife of one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by his private parts, you shall cut off her hand. Show her no pity.”

        And this gem;

“If a man takes a wife and, after sleeping with her, dislikes her and slanders her and gives her a bad name, saying, “I married this woman, but when I approached her, I did not find proof of her virginity,” then the young woman’s father and mother shall bring to the town elders at the gate proof that she was a virgin. Her father will say to the elders, “I gave my daughter in marriage to this man, but he dislikes her. Now he has slandered her and said, ‘I did not find your daughter to be a virgin.’ But here is the proof of my daughter’s virginity.” Then her parents shall display the cloth before the elders of the town, and the elders shall take the man and punish him. They shall fine him a hundred shekels[a] of silver and give them to the young woman’s father, because this man has given an Israelite virgin a bad name. She shall continue to be his wife; he must not divorce her as long as he lives. If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.”

Let’s keep the Bible where it belongs and out of our politics.

She is no rabbi nor anything else godly. She is a worldly political hack. The Father will never accept this! Who’s he going to appoint next Jeffery Daughmer? One God, one savior and one spirit! Jehova in Jesus name.

  3. Eliot

Nevertheless, Jews will still vote predominantly democrat.

I think Jewish Rabbi shows how much you don’t know. A Jewish leader is called a Rabbi so need to say Jewish Rabbi unless you are trying to make sure with your hate and bigotry that people reading this think Jewish people hate the LGBTU community, which is absolutely incorrect……Jewish people are one of the most inclusive groups of people and the most charitable to all….whether it be financially or put of respect for others. Some very financially Jews, as many others, are Republicans because the Trump party only cares about the wealthy and puts money before people. This is for all groups………. So please stop showing your hate and bigotry with biased articles…….all Rabbis are News….and not all Rabbis,I would studied the majority, support LGBTU!

    • Joe S Bruder

To be fair to the author, he said “Orthodox Jewish” rabbis, which distinguishes them from other branches of Judaism… But the rest of your points are mostly accurate. The author is trying to blow this little news item into something big… in a column with maybe 20-30 readers, many of whom write for the sole purpose of “correcting” the authors misstatements.

Sweeeeet stuff, I was moved, really changed my point of view.

“democrats closed small businesses destroying them, they closed houses of worship but allowed thousands to gather and burn down cities by acts of terrorism then praised them as heroes despite their goal to over throw our republic for communism.”
Who was President during all this? Who sat back, got super drugs, vaccines, and watched as over 630,000 Americans died? What is it with “communism,” who the heck wants that? They’re Socialists, get it right. You’re being so 1960’s. Communists have about 10,000 members in the US, you had more than that at the January Trump Tourist Party at the Capitol. And who closed the Churches? Cuz last I looked in April of 2020, seems like it was all the rage with Republican Governors too.

It a good thing this is a Nation of laws, and not religion.
