Hawaii Fire Victims Forced into Sex for Survival, Report Reveals

Living under Democrats’ rule could mean losing your basic rights and in times of a disaster, even facing the possibility of sexual slavery. You read that right as a new report has exposed the harrowing stories of the victims of the Biden administration’s neglect in the aftermath of the Lahaina fires in Hawaii in 2023.

A 50-page report titled “Equality in Flames: The Impact of the Lahaina Wildfire on Gender Equality and Filipino Women in Hawaiʻi” was published in May 2025 by Tagnawa, a Filipino feminist disaster response organization on Maui and Oʻahu. Among other damaging effects the victims of the wildfires suffered, the report found the shocking revelation that one in six survivors had to trade sexual favors in order to get basic living needs – what the report called “survival sex”:

16% of Lahaina fire survivors surveyed have engaged in survival sex or sex acts in exchange for food, clothing, money, and housing after the fire. This may indicate an increase in commercial sexual exploitation post-disaster and warrants further research.

In one important way, as the report revealed, the Lahaina wildfire helped expose the otherwise intrafamilial child sexual abuse in the area. The destruction or damage of the family residences of these abusive parents/relatives by the fire broke their habitual cover of the abuse, as they were relocated during the disaster.

The authors of the report mentioned that they sent FEMA a formal request for an interview, which the agency acknowledged but did not follow with a response by the time of the completion of the report.

Responding to the Tagnawa report, Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) condemned the failure of the Biden administration in helping the fire victims of Hawaii and protecting them from such abuse. DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin called such incompetence and neglect of the Biden administration “unacceptable” and “un-American.” Her statement said:

“While American citizens from Hawaii to North Carolina suffered, Biden and Mayorkas used FEMA as a piggy bank, spending hundreds of millions of American taxpayer dollars to housing illegal aliens, including at the Roosevelt Hotel that served as a Tren de Aragua base of operations and was used to shelter Laken Riley’s killer.”

The official DHS account on X posted the same message to the platform with slightly different phrasing.

The Gateway Pundit noted that Hawaii Governor Josh Green has not yet addressed the Tagnawa report while he continues to promote the new “climate change tax” his administration just imposed on tourists visiting Hawaii.

British daily The Guardian is one of the very few popular media outlets that reported on the Tagnawa report and its findings. Mainstream media in the U.S. have so far ignored the story despite the DHS response to it on X, which has been viewed over 240 thousand times as of the time of this writing.

Once again Dempsey appeals to stupidity; he feels pbp readers are so stupid as to swallow his swill. The best you can get from this, and the study’s authors say it, it appears that more study is needed as is appears there is an issue with trading sex for survival after disasters. This seems legit, yet this study was one disaster, one location, and one Filipina American community within said disaster. Seventy women in total. No matter what you determine, more study would be needed. Further, the study owner is a Filipino women’s rights advocate with bias. Dumpster should know that.

The study said women in disaster areas are more prone to trade sex for goods and services, sex for survival, than pre-disaster. Forced? The study says forced, perhaps by becoming commercial sex workers, that is not determined. But again, the study calls for more study as a conclusion. No one can say if this happens post hurricane in Florida for example. Or Texas. Or Tornado alley, or California firestorms. But the study indicates the need to find out. ‘

Sone basic math —- the number is 16%; not 1 out of 6. Its 4 out of 25. The study was 70 Filipino women; that’s 11.2 affected although given the sample and the subject, a number to the right of the decimal point is weird given it’s only 70 people and a hard number must exist.

Second, the word Democrat is no where in the report. That came from The Dumpster.

The word Biden is no where in the report. That comes from The Dumpster.

The report did mention “the destruction or damage of the family residences of these abusive parents/relatives by the fire broke their habitual cover of the abuse, as they were relocated during the disaster.” Think about that: there was sex abuse all over, and low n behold, some turned to sex work as well. Was that forced or a natural extension of the sex life being lived at that point. More study is needed. FYI: the word Democrat was not used there either and there is no indication what party the perpetrators were in, but sure points to sexual abuse going well beyond FEMA and the Democrats as in it existed to begin with and, guess what, stressful situations of depravation and shortages lead to greater trades of sexual favors for goods and services. With the same logical certainty that the concept of Democrat party involvement, one might presume that the offenders and the johns were all Republican. It’s bogus logic foisted on you by a guy trying to pit us against each other for his own pecuniary and personal gain.

Point is that sex stuff happened before the fires, was highlighted by the fires, and there are many indications that sex trades increased after the tragedy. If it happened under Biden, it happened under Trump 1 and it’s happening right now under Trump 2. More study needed, no party to blame. Chances are any tragedy, any location, any party.

I think The Dumpster misses the fact that IF this went on during Biden that it also went on, undiscovered, under Trump 1 and he didn’t even notice, much less do anything about it. Also, there is no indication that FEMA CAUSED this, yet FEMA might do better to make this not happen. So yes, it appears that we need a more thorough investigation, outside of just the Hawaiian single instance and Filipino community to see if FEMA can help make things better for folks in disaster areas. And given current events, I think additional study will need to be made IF the current administration defunds FEMA to redistribute funds to the States for State control. Now you have 50 models to study to determine the extent of sex trade increases post disaster.

Stories pulled from The Dumpster are low hanging fruit when it comes to biased journalism and opinion with the sole intent of this Pakistani to turn American against American for his profit. The publisher is an enabler of this at this point.
