Google Sabotaging Republicans in the Next Election with Email Filtering?

Google Sabotaging Republicans in the Next Election with Email Filtering?

Google is no friend of conservatives, as has been known for many years, and now it has been caught in the act – the act of actively undermining Republican fundraising campaigns via its politically weaponized email service, i.e. Gmail.

Last week, the New York Post (NYP) reported that Google was caught targeting Republican fundraising campaigns by flagging the emails for these campaigns as “suspicious” and thus sending them to the Spam folder of Gmail accounts. In an email service, the most readily visible folder is the Inbox, which appears to users upon logging in. Many people do not check their Spam folder, also called Junk mail, and see its contents. In other words, to hide a message from the user, an email service can direct it straight to the Spam folder.

As the NYP story reported (August 13), conservative strategy firm Targeted Victory has been observing the selective email filtering by Gmail along party lines. The firm noted how Gmail was allowing Democrat email campaigns while spamming similar Republican ones. To verify this, Targeted Victory went ahead and tested it by sending messages with Republican fundraiser links, like the fundraising platform WinRed. Gmail instantly marked them as “dangerous.” The story wrote: Meanwhile, Targeted Victory conducted tests in which emails containing links to the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue were delivered without issue. The memo included video demonstrations of the firm’s tests.

This political guile put into practice by Google isn’t new; it has been going on for years. As NYP noted, just over the past few years Republicans have filed several complaints against Google for sabotaging their political campaigns by suppressing their email messages. But all their lawsuits and complaints with election authorities have been rejected. It’s obvious to see the political establishment working against conservatives in the courts and public offices.

Breitbart, while reporting on the story, cited a 2022 study at the University of North Carolina that found Gmail flagging 59% more Republican fundraiser emails than Democrat ones during the 2020 presidential election campaign.

Following the news of Gmail spamming conservative campaign emails, WinRed posted the Target Victory memo on X with the comment that this revelation follows a massive fundraising quarter for the GOP and the flagging of conservative messages by Gmail amounts to “blatant election interference” that needs an immediate resolution.

AZ-based attorney and reporter Rachel Alexander shared a screenshot of her Gmail Spam folder on her X page, showing many emails from conservative news sources and campaigns.

The X account called “The Voice of GenX” warned that suppression of conservative links while promoting Democrats can have a serious impact on elections and it’s important for conservatives to stop using the un-American Gmail.

Ain’t that the truth. Google ads are the best for generating revenue, but unfortunately Google hates conservatives, and likes to screw with us.

I have Microsoft Bing, not Google. Yet, they are just as criminal as Google is. There are others to use such as Duck Duck Go for one. As soon as we get the promised Q laptops, things will be so much better.
