Biden team now claims he was a successful President

As the American people have become more aware of the extent of President Biden’s age-related disabilities, those responsible for the cover-up have put forward a new defense strategy. They claim that there were no disasters or crises as a result of his condition. According to them, it was a remarkably successful presidency. They argue that such success could not have occurred if Biden were a totally dysfunctional president.

In what was dubbed a “reputational comeback tour”, Jill Biden said that critics “didn’t see how hard Joe worked every day.”  FOX News commentator Juan Williams has declared Biden to be “one of the best presidents of our time.”  Others have recently followed that narrative.

But if you unpack those claims, you’ll find them to be … empty.

First of all, those advancing that argument know it’s not possible to prove a negative. The fact that there was no proverbial “2 a.m. crisis call” does not mean Biden could have handled it – or maybe there was and he did not. I suspect that if there had been such a call, Jill Biden and senior staff would not have awakened the President – but would have handled it in his name.

Of course, that is all theoretical and speculative. The claim that things ran smoothly because Biden was capable is not a fact. It’s not even a good theory. Saying that nothing disastrous happened due to his condition and the cover-up is simply untrue.

If I were a Democrat, I would see a series of disasters for the party. First was the fact that he ran for a second term when he was unfit and in no shape to serve four more years. Biden’s wife and a cabal of advisors encouraged him to break his one-term commitment.

Their cover-up got him the nomination, but the situation became so untenable that he had to quit the race at the last minute – leaving Democrats with no choice but to back a losing replacement. The anti-Trump establishment may view the chaos from Biden’s entering and exiting the race as a huge disaster, since it could be fairly argued that it helped elect President Trump.

Then there’s the issue of the selection of a Vice President. Would a presidential candidate of sound mind have selected Kamala Harris? In hindsight, it was clearly a poor decision. But was the emphasis on selecting a “Black woman” as the primary qualifier Biden’s decision? Or was he unduly influenced by others due to his weakened condition—others with more radical left-wing views than old “Lunch Bucket Joe”?

Since Biden is now known to have not been of entirely sound mind throughout his presidency (the degree of which can be debated), many of “his” decisions can be questioned. Would a fully competent president have ordered the disastrous and deadly Afghanistan withdrawal? Would a fully competent president have so badly mishandled the border crisis? Was it really Biden or his “brain trust” that passed legislation that contributed to disastrous inflation? What mind was at work when Biden merely repeated losing talking points throughout the campaign?

Because of Biden’s disability, we can know several things. First, he himself was not capable of arriving at sound decisions through a cognitive process. But we also know that such individuals can be easily influenced—or even coerced—by those around them. In extreme cases, others can act in their name without their knowledge.

We know that Biden spent more time in controlled environments—“the bunker”—than out in public. We know he held fewer and shorter press conferences than any president in modern times. Despite the best efforts of the cover-up conspirators, we eventually saw a president with serious age-related physical and mental issues.

Because of all that, we do not know to what extent Biden controlled the presidential agenda. We do not know who ran the autopen. But we can reasonably conclude that Biden was not the ultimate decision-maker in the White House for many months- perhaps years. He was being handled—managed. We know that from those ubiquitous cheat sheets.

We’ve seen this before with two other incapacitated presidents—Woodrow Wilson and Franklin Roosevelt. Those around Biden essentially overthrew a president and established an unelected caretaker government – assuming control over the nation’s business and serving as personal caretakers for a failing Joe Biden.

While the conspirators and fellow travelers are not likely to be held legally accountable, one hopes they will endure the loathing and shunning of the public, their political party, and potential employers.

Yes, Biden’s condition—and the ultimately failed effort to fool all the people all the time—did produce disasters for the Democratic Party and the American people. We cannot know what a fully functioning Joe Biden might have done or achieved. We just know that we did not have a fully functioning Joe Biden throughout his presidency.

And one can have pity for Old Joe. In terms of his legacy, he was not a very accomplished president (cheerleaders notwithstanding). Now his legacy will forever be seen through the lens of his age-related competency and The Great Conspiracy to cover it up.

So, there ’tis.

Praise the Lord, Larry is in full Nixonian splendor now. He’s ready for the pearly gates as he relives his Nixonian youth in thought and mind……. My God it’s good to get back to the late 60’s, early 70’s. Let the culture wars resume, let’s put those people in their places, left to right, right to left.

Larry used to get his ya’s ya’s as the perennial loser attacking the entranced establishment. Now as the winner, he continues to just love curb stomping the losers. Especially since he has few wins lately that actually advantage the people. Instead, he sees photo op announcements with hobbled men in shackles, third-world death-camp gulags, war zone drop-offs, purging Home Depot of day workers, running through the strawberries tackling people for arrest, masked unidentified lawmen tackling our members of Congress, tear gas, you know —– Larry land. There’s also EO’s that never pan out to laud his success as a winner. So, he continues to whine against the losers, long gone from position. The author is falling into a deep curmudgeon trance as he can’t laud Trump accomplishments that matter to the people so he whines about anything to the left. Hot dogs almost brings him to blows over the left, Jeffries filibustering against the bill brings him to tears of rage, and now, somebody saying Biden was a good President has his knickers so knotted, his head is as red as his party.

For a winner, what a whiner.

Here’s a change: a short response!!!! Larry’s arguing against Joe being a good President: “But if you unpack those claims, you’ll find them to be … empty.”

His argument is against Biden’s’ accomplishments, two pages and 900 words later, he has curb stomped Biden’s accomplishments away without a single number, statistic, date, whatever. This is not a quantitative analysis and I question the qualitative aspects of this author to be able to stand unbiased in his word-laced qualitative review. How can you assess a President without any statistics?
A President’s results are beyond Biden’s mental health. Even if he’s bat-shit crazy, the results are the results. I care about bottom-line results, not whether he gapped, forgot dates, whatever. Yesterday, at Morristown, we watched some guy speak over Trump as if jumping in because Trump too slow. That’s a first, but I guess after Trump tripped up the stairs of AF1, they are keeping closer tabs on his alone time. He still mumbles on about Hunter’s bedroom, $1.99 gas available today, DEI causes plane crashes, and all sorts of crazy talk. More so every day. “We’re gonna release the Epstein client list THAT WE HAVE ON OUR DESK” becomes “What list?” “I’m not on that list that we can’t find anymore on our desk.” We just watched Trump get the 2 am call, literally, from Texas where over 110 would die with over 150 missing still. Trump responded by playing golf the next day. He stumbles, he mumbles, he says many things crazy and incoherent. Yet his bottom line is his bottom line no matter how sane or crazy he acts. Same with Biden or any of them.

Here’s Biden’s real numbers. They are not all great, like inflation and border jumping, but overall, not bad. *https://www.factcheck.org/2024/10/bidens-numbers-2024-pre-election-update/*

Have a nice day, Larry, but try some quantitative analysis versus your wordsmithing.
