Obama: Americans with Guns are more Dangerous than Terrorists
Obama is so scared of Americans having guns that he believes the threat of gun violence is greater than terrorism. Meanwhile, he took a visit to Kenya over the weekend to reassure President Uhuru Kenyatta that the US will help in their continuing fight for peace against an Islamic group in nearby Somalia.
With just 18 months left in the oval office, Obama continues to push for tighter gun control. “If you look at the number of Americans killed since 9/11 by terrorism, it’s less than 100,” he said. “If you look at the number that have been killed by gun violence, it’s in the tens of thousands.” Obama failed to mention the terrorist attacks that make up part of that gun violence.
President Obama complained that the US does not have “sufficient common-sense, gun-safety laws” despite being an advanced nation. In reality, the issue isn’t a lack of gun control, it’s that controlling guns does not stop criminals from acting.
Obama made an appearance at the Kenya Statehouse this weekend to reassure President Kenyatta that he’s ready to help them take on Islamic group al-Shabaab. The African nation is still hurting from an attack on a mall in 2013 that left 67 innocent shoppers dead and an attack in April that left over 100 students dead at a university in NE Kenya. Maybe Obama should try taking guns away from al-Shabaab instead.
Mr. Obama also forgets that one of the worst places in the country for gun violence is his former city of Chicago, which already has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. And don’t try to tell me they’re all coming from little ol’ Indiana!
