Biden’s border crisis worsens

The political, social, and humanitarian crisis that has hit the community of Del Rio, Texas is only the most severe symptom of an evolving border crisis that has been caused by the policies of President Biden … period.  It is HIS border crisis.

Biden reversed virtually every program, project and proposal set forth by the Trump administration to get control of America’s southern border and restore a semblance of LEGAL immigration.  Biden summarily stopped construction of the border wall even as unfinished work and purchased supplies lay on the ground.  Biden attempted to reverse the agreement Trump had with Mexico for migrants to remain south of the border as asylum applications were being processed.  Biden curtailed the enforcement work of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Worst of all, Biden has consistently – before his election and since – signaled to potential migrants from anywhere that the southern border is open.  It is true that Vice President Harris advised migrants to not come to America.  Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas told the world that the U.S. border is not open – even as hundreds of thousands proved it was.

These warnings were not effective – and may not have been intended to be effective – because Biden simultaneously signaled that IF you do attempt to cross the border your chance of deportation is very low.  Interestingly, Biden has never used the bully pulpit to forcefully tell potential migrants to shelter in place.  In other words, “stay home.”

Why isn’t that working?  The answer is obvious.  It is because the admonition to stay home is undercut by the policy that will enable migrants to stay – and they know it.  It is undermined by a range of benefits that are dangled in front of potential migrants – welfare, schooling, jobs, drivers’ licenses and sanctuary in Democrat strongholds.  Migrants can see that Biden is stopping the wall.  Stopping enforcement.  Allowing migrants to flow freely into the general population.

The Biden administration’s stay-at-home plea is like telling a child not to take any cookies out of the cookie jar, “but if you do, please clean up the mess.”  The only problem with the analogy is that no one is being told – or even allowed – to clean up the mess.

So, why is it that Biden – and the Democrats – will not impose policies that will control the border and restore the concept of legal immigration?

The most cynical answer is that they believe that the millions of people they allow to enter illegally will eventually be given legal status – and even citizenship.  AND that they will overwhelmingly be Democrat voters.

This theory gains credence when you consider that Democrats also favor extending the right to vote to non-citizens.  They are already implementing such a peculiar “right” in some local elections.  The theory gains further credence since no other explanation seems to explain this utter disregard for immigration laws.  One might argue that the open borders policy is just the result of stupidity – but Biden and the Democrats are not THAT stupid.

The continuing and growing crisis at our southern border is on Biden.  It is the Biden Border Crisis.  This buck definitely stops at his desk.

As a footnote, I also believe that Democrats will be shocked in the future as millions matriculate to citizenship.  I do not believe those folks will be the dependable Democrat voters Biden & Co. hope.  But in the meantime, the Biden Border Crisis will plague his administration for the rest of his presidency – and be a black mark on what is starting to shape up as his pathetic legacy.

So, there ‘tis.

The border crisis is not going to end with the commiecrats in charge. But a well regulated militia could end it. Our country and freedom is about to fall.

Really? Your solution would be to send a bunch of nut-jobs to the border and just let them shoot all the refugees? Is that what would make you proud of our country?

Is that what you consider freedom – the ability for a group of citizens, on their own, to go “defend” the border from refugees who have gone through natural disasters and wars and poverty and drug crime (fueled by the US buying their wares) in their country, who are just looking for a better life? Like, probably, your grandparents or great grandparents did? Where would YOU be if a militia of “freedumb loving citizens” had shown up at Ellis Island and started shooting immigrants?

You can wave the flag all you want, but freedom, liberty, self-rule, all the things that make the government of our constitution a real government – they require responsibility. That doesn’t include knee-jerk responses to problems, and the interests of the people are never served by a me-first attitude of government. Our country has prospered the most when we cooperated with other countries, and worked together to solve problems. We’ve lost ground every time we became isolationist and nationalist, just like when Trump was President.

    Larry,
Supposition, conjecture, conservatism combined with denigrating democrats creates mix not fit for consumption by thinking critical reasoning Americans. You end up preaching to the choir and intoxicating yourself with your own brew.
What you spin from old known information does not jell. The prophecies you push are more cynical. Concoctions from a frightened old white guy dreaming about America in the good old days.
Why your articles are intended with depressive connotations for America does not surprise. The titles you give make no secrete that the author is none other than you.
Sadly, to many Americans think as ones intellectually mired in close minded bias focused on a normalcy desired.
If the doom and gloom you suggest is upon this nation by way of more immigrants desiring a life in the USA, then had all the measures been in place 200 years ago things would be better in America today..
Where would America be? Could your and my ancestors have come to these shores. No one who makes it to America automatically gets handed citizenship at the boarder. If any correctly cross every t and dot the I’s eventually in a decade some may possibly be granted citizenship. A great majority are subjected to years of judicial paperwork red tape and languish. Not many of any born into citizenship could pass the test required or have patience enough to endure the waiting.
Count your blessing and be thankful then make friends on the shuffle-board court.

If only trump hadn’t destroyed the very system used to process these immigrants, we may be in a better place.
Or to take it a step further, if only America had minded its own business and not interfered in so many Central and South American Countries, their people wouldn’t have a reason to leave their own Countries.

    • Dan Tyree

      Explain how he destroyed it.

How did 10,000 Haitians all end up at the same obscure boarder crossing area in Texas? Most of the refugees originated from Brazil. That’s 400 miles and a 7 hr car ride. It seems like a huge coincidence that they would all end up at the same place at the same time… all with the same directions in the “WhatsApp” app…hmmmm there’s got to me something..

I wonder if where Jason Miller was over the last month????

I’ll give you a hint… Jason Miller has recently been in Brazil.
