Gabbard Urges Biden Against National Security Expansion

Former US Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) is asking President Joe Biden not to expand national security after the January 6th riot.

“President Biden, I call upon you and all of Congress from both parties to denounce efforts by Brennan and others to take away our civil liberties endowed to us by our Creator and guaranteed in our Constitution,” wrote Gabbard on Twitter. “If you don’t stand up to them now, then our country will be in great peril.” 

Gabbard’s Twitter post included a video of former CIA Director John Brennan. In the video, Brennan described the Biden Administration’s effort to “uncover as much as they can about what looks very similar to insurgency movements that we see overseas – where they germinate in different parts of the country and they gain strength, and it brings together an unholy alliance frequently of religious extremists, authoritarians, fascists, bigots, racists, nativists, even libertarians.”

Gabbard warned that national security measures designed to combat threats are sometimes more dangerous than the threats themselves. 

“The mob who stormed the Capitol on January 6th to try to stop Congress from carrying out its constitutional responsibilities were behaving like domestic enemies of our country,” she wrote.

“Let’s be clear, the John Brennans, Adam Schiffs, and the oligarchs in Big Tech who are trying to undermine our constitutionally protected rights and turn our country into a police state with KBG-style surveillance are also domestic enemies – and much more powerful, and therefore dangerous.”

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) is a major proponent of the Russia collusion hoax. Now he is pushing a bill that would create a new statute for a federal offense of domestic terrorism. A separate initiative, sponsored by Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), calls to establish new offices within the FBI, DOJ, and DHS to “analyze and monitor domestic terrorist activity.”

Critics say federal authorities already have the tools they need to catch domestic terrorists. They are likely to abuse any additional powers granted to them. In the meantime, Big Tech is contributing to Gabbard’s “police state” by controlling the information we see on the web.
