Liberal Doublethink – Jobs

Liberal Doublethink – Jobs

dou·ble·think dÉ™bÉ™lËŒTHiNGk/ nounthe acceptance of or mental capacity to accept contrary opinions or beliefs at the same time, especially as a result of political indoctrination.

The latest unemployment statistics show a 4.9% rate. Looks good, but we are not supposed to think so.

Why is Hillary talking so much about jobs?  In the past, “full employment” meaning that everyone who wants to be employed, is employed, has been between 3 to 5.5% depending on which economist you ask.

And yet Hillary’s perception is that people are still hurting for jobs. Why is that?

Despite the Obama Administration’s declarations that the economy has recovered, perhaps we still have some issues here.

For example, if you look a the percentage of the total U.S. population who are working you’ll find in 2008 it was 63%, now it is only 59.7%. If you look at the low in 2009 of 58.6%, you see from this perspective we have only recovered a third of the way back. In other words we are still in a depression.

Why does the unemployment rate look to be only 4.9%? Because so many people have dropped out of the work force. They are not counted any more.

A contributing factor is an exceedingly low GDP grow rate. Obama may be the first President in history to never have a GDP growth rate over 3%.

– Hillary expects you to accept that the economy is doing great because her former boss, Obama, is the best, and she will give you more of the same.

– But Hillary also expects you to accept that jobs are desperately needed and she is the only one to get them for you.

Are you willing to accept both of these position? Can you keep them both in your head at the same time and agree with them both? That’s doublethink! Welcome to Orwell’s 1984.
