Biden fiddles as the southern border burns

As Biden and the media fiddle with Martha’s Vineyard … day-after-day tens of thousands of migrants are streaming to and across America’s southern border.

For the left-leaning media, the most important immigration story in recent weeks has been the less than 50 migrants landing on the super-exclusive island of Martha’s Vineyard.  They did not stay long – just long enough for the locals to complain about how they could not accommodate these migrants … brag about how well they are treating them … use them as pawns to attack Governors Gregg Abbott and Ron DeSantis (even using a couple of them to file a lawsuit against the governors partially paid for by the infamous George Soros) … and then forcing the intruders off their playground-for-the-rich-and-famous within a day.

In the meantime, day-after-day tens of thousands of migrants are streaming across America’s southern border.  Some die – every day. Some women are raped – every day. They are shaken down and intimidated by the drug cartellians.  Among the masses are hardened criminals and tons of deadly drugs.

Every day, children are being trafficked and women forced into sex slavery.  Families back home are being blackmailed. Hundreds of “get-aways” who do not seek asylum are sneaking into the country.

The Border Patrol lacks the manpower and facilities to control the border – or vet and process those claiming asylum.  Every day, thousands are released into the American community – with or without papers.  The local residents are overwhelmed with the daily arrivals – and are the victims of crimes committed by the bad hombres among the masses.  Every day.

And every day, Americans across the country are dying because of the open southern border.  Some are the victims of crimes by illegal aliens.  Some are the victims of auto accidents.  And hundreds dying from overdoses of illicit drugs coming over the southern border – every day.

And those “every days” add up.  Since President Biden has taken office – and assigned Vice President Harris oversight of the immigration issue – 2 million migrants have crossed the border.  What was happening in the hundreds in a single day was happening in the thousands and tens of thousands over time – at the border, in those places where the federal government shipped migrants by bus and planes, and wherever the tentacles of the drug trade have reached deep into America.

Despite this national AND humanitarian crisis, Biden has nothing to say about what is going on in Texas and Arizona – or on the long dangerous trail to get to the border.  No humanitarian concerns.  If Harris is asked about the border, she claims that the border is secure – dismissing the question with her iconic nervous laugh.  She maintained that lie even as migrants were dropped outside her Washington Home.  She did not greet them.  They were removed faster than you could say, “Martha’s Vineyard.”

And yet, Biden and Harris do not talk about what is happening every day at the border –but have time to focus on their elitist playground on Martha’s Vineyard.  Of course, the left-wing press follow suit. Day-after-day of reports on Martha’s Island long after the migrants have been expelled.  The hypocrisy is palpable.

So, there ‘tis.

Considering the fact that the American birth rate is going to decline to the point where population starts to decline, it would appear that all these millions of immigrants are going to enable America to keep growing. They are going to pay my Social Security, as well as my wife’s SS. And help to keep the American economy from permanently falling off a cliff.

    • larry Horist

You are absolutely correct about the need of immigrants to sustain growth. That has been true for the past 200 years — even in times of high birth rates. But it must be controlled and vetted to keep out the bad folks and the unqualified for asylum — and even then, the numbers of immigrants cannot be unlimited. Once that exceed job potential, they become a burden on the economy and stunt growth. Right now we have jobs available, but only because too many able worker are living off of government dole as a matter of choice, not necessity. Most conservatives strongly support immigration — the legal type. It is fundamental to a free-market economy.

Even though I am a native son of Massachusetts, I am not quite sure if I am allowed on the Vineyard; after all, those people are Extremely Special.

    • larry Horist

That is in the DNA of the rich liberals. They are special. that is why they prefer an elitist government in Washington made up of their types to rule over those of us who are lesser folks — less intelligent, less noble. And it is not just Democrats. They made a great show of affection for the 50 or so migrants on their land … before kicking them off.

Republicans crying about human tragedies at the border defines hypocrisy. Yes, it’s a crisis, yes, it’s awful, but for Republicans to scream bloody murder while blaming Biden for it all is just hypocrisy. Trump enacted over 100 EO’s, etc. that hurt immigrants attempting entry or asylum in the US. To say today’s human tragedy is worse is laughable; here’s just a handful of Trumpian actions. The most egregious was Title 42 calling for immediate expulsion of over 40% of all encounters. Sounds great, but Trump, in his normal fashion, just borrowed from Peter to rob Paul as there was NO PENALTY for these revolving door attempts not to try again. And again. And again. Now in 2022, we have over two years of turn-aways still attempting to get in. It’s a Trumpian timebomb left for Biden (who stupidly has not fixed it either, instead attempting to overturn which was denied by the courts). Guess Larry did not see the harm in turning them back to Mexico to all the horrors that he has ascribed to Biden’s policies. Larry also conveniently forgets the Family Separation Policy that destroyed more than a few families.

Here’s just a handful of the over 100 Trump policies that harmed so many.

Republicans issued the muslim ban stopping any muslim refugees trying to escape deadly situations.
Remain in Mexico policy forced valid asylum seekers to stay in Mexico to be preyed upon.
Double dips only policy forced valid asylum seekers away UNLESS they could prove they tried elsewhere first.
Stopping kids from joining valid US citizen immigrants in the US
Cut refugees access to the US by 90%
    Vetting process based on “morality.”
Immigrants had to have health insurance to remain in US
Allowing untrained boarder guards to vet asylum seekers versus trained agents
Family Separation of parents and kids, many of which were never put back together again.
Stopping naturalization for military service rendered
Monetary asylum requirements — not enough money, you can’t apply
    Massive fee increases
    Indefinite Detentions for Asylum seekers
Using FEMA funds to detain immigrants
Detaining kids based on gang affiliation “allegations.”
    Deportation of covid patients
Suing States with immigration protection laws
Prosecuting human aid workers at the border
Fining immigrants living in sanctuary churches
    Limitations on work authorizations
    DACA termination
Ending TPS for El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Nepal, Nicaragua, and Sudan causing thousands to be illegal overnight, many had been
protected for over a decade of living here.
    Expediting and expanding immediate removals
Replacing all immigration judges with Trump selects

    • Joe Gilbertson

Frank, all of that is complete nonsense. If we shut down the border to illegal immigration, then those folks would be safe and warm in their own houses in their own countries. When they try for our border they have no idea of the hardship and the danger.

Your perspective is warped, and again you have missed every possible point, while flinging about the Democrat bs talking points.

I will believe you are sincere when you allow an immigrant family to camp out in your back yard.

      • Perry

Bullshit!!!! The wetbacks will mooch off of America. No problem with immigration. Just do it legal. A get rid of the politicians who swore to uphold the laws and refuse to do it. And the end justifies the means

        • ben is back

Asylum is legal you blithering racist dirtbag piece of shit.

          • larry Horist

Ben is back. Yes seeking asylum is legal IF you meet the legal qualifications. Most migrants claim it for a better economic situation — jobs with good pay. That is NOT a legal justification. That is why as many as 80 percent of those crossing the border are ineligible and denied asylum. The problem is that the cases do not get adjudicated for year .. if at all … and many may stay regardless of the outcome. That means millions are here illegally. Yes .. asylum is legal but only if one meets the qualifications … and most do not you IGNORANT blithering .etc., etc.

      • ben is back

That’s funny Joe. For all of Trump’s 100 actions to limit immigration, he never claimed: “now they are safe and warm in their own houses.” Makes you wonder why they ever even tried to leave…….

psssst: it’s south of the Rio Grande, I really doubt being warm at home is an issue. Now safe —— why the fuck do you think they are asking for asylum in the first place if they are safe and warm???? what a fucking idiot.

By definition, This country was INVADED when hundreds of thousands of poverty stricken people came here after the Vice President told them not to… THEY have no “legal means” of survival; “ENTER DRUG AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING… Crime and death rate among children has skyrocket; especially in sanctuary cities…
At least one South American country is letting their most dangerous and deadly criminals out if prison with the understanding that they come here ( nearly all if their death row and prisoners sentenced to life… If Dems lose in the midterm and in 24IT WILL BE BECAUSE THEY CARE AS LITTLE OF OUR NATIONAL SECURITY AS THE OTHER SIDE IF THE ISLE !!!

  5. ben is back

can you actually prove: “hundreds of thousands of poverty stricken people came here after the Vice President told them not to”
    or
“Crime and death rate among children has skyrocket; especially in sanctuary cities…” due to immigrants?
    or
“At least one South American country is letting their most dangerous and deadly criminals out if prison with the understanding that they come here ( nearly all if their death row and prisoners sentenced to life…” as in which country?
