NBC/MSNBC is the center of left-wing disinformation
Technically, NBC and MSNBC are two different media networks – as is the “Peacock” streaming service. Most folks seem to see them that way. In reality, they are one operation. Shows like Chuck Todd’s “Meet the Press” and various reports flow between the platforms on a regular basis.
Not only is NBC one massive communications empire, it is also the most biased.
I have never taken up President Trump’s use of the term “fake news,” but do believe that what we see and hear on the NBC conglomerate is NOT news. It is an opinion with a decided philosophic spin. Essentially, the NBC empire is the primary provider of political propaganda for the political left – and specifically the Democratic Party.
My contention can easily be proven by objective analysis. Check out the number of stories that are critical of Trump, Republicans, and conservatives. And I mean harshly critical. While other news platforms cover other – and even non-political – stories, NBC & Co. spend most of their airtime in attacking the political right. They ignore major stories that do not comport with their anti-conservative objectives. Of course, their coverage of Democrats and the left is universally positive.
Compare the number of times they interview Democrats and left-wing activists instead of Republicans and conservatives. Count the number of panelists who attack the GOP and the number of who defend it. How many anchors report favorably on Democrats compared to those saying positive things about Republicans? The answer in each case is virtually zero for Republicans.
The NBC combine produces a number of so-called documentaries. How many are critical of Republicans and Republican issues – and how many are favorable? Again, the latter is zero.
To give an impression of balance, the NBC teams have developed a team of false flag Republicans and conservatives (usually called “Republican strategists”) who parrot the same words and opinions as the hardcore left-wing personalities. Those false flaggers are a distinction without a difference in terms of content.
Analyze the rhetoric. Which media personalities use the harshest descriptions and pejoratives against Republicans and conservatives – essentially branding Republicans as “crazies,” “insurrectionists,” “racists,” “stupid” (Biden used that one recently), “political Neanderthals,” “deplorables,” “low information voters” etc., etc., etc. That barroom language is common fare with the folks at NBC.
As I noted, I am not into the broad-brush “fake news” accusation, but any objective analysis would show that the NBC trio of media platforms is fully engaged in political propaganda … period.

At least these folks have surveys or ranking methodologies versus Larry’s folksy rendition. It’s Larry’s opinion, so can’t really say busted, but he does seem to be a bit in the rough on this fairway.
Anybody who says FOX is a far right organization is probably jealous of its success and therefore are in need of attack by the lunatic far left. The left has FOREVER been the side that ignores truth, facts, science and reality. They only exist because life would be boring if everyone were a successful, happy and well-adjusted citizen. They are the best tool of Satan against people who work hard, have strong family values, love children and are God-fearing. In the final analysis the REAL war is between believers and non-believers. Always has been and always will be until God says it’s time to wrap up human history by destroying everything that is evil and follows Satan. c.elkins … I can say with confidence that you have never analyzed the various news services. I suspect you may have dropped in on Hannity or Carlson and made your judgment. As I have often noted, FOX primetime is taken up with right-wing commentators — but most of the days more balanced news coverage … with more stories and more interviews on both sides of issues. On the other extreme, you have MSNBC, that is totally 24/7 consumed with left-wing talking points and panelists. Of course, FOX leans right … but MSNBC has no balance. It does not lean … it is 100 percent in the left-wing Democrat camp.
I actually agree and find myself viewing the unbiased stuff. And msnbc has one hour of biased content they loop with different talking heads.
But buyer beware, some of those fox slots go biased. Ez to tell, and switch the channel.

Based on Larry’s “folksy rendition” analysis, and Frank’s “reference packed” analysis, the Independent/Unaffiliated truth is that all seem to be guilty and none is without the sin of bias. So I have scored this one Larry 5, Frank 5. But the real issue that neither ever gets to is where can a person searching for the truth go to get the most unbiased truth of the news? I hope both will answer this question.
Tom … the problem with Frank’s “evidence” is that it is all based on public opinion polling. None of it is an objective in-depth analysis of content. Public opinion is the worst way to get a factual picture of bias since respondents are influenced by the biases. Of the three major cable networks, public opinion picks FOX as biased — but that is greatly influenced by the attacks. It is that old court-of-public-opinion problem again. In previous commentaries, I have said that to determine bias, you need to set of an analytical model — and go through content with a stopwatch and a pad of paper. I have done that — and hour for hour …. story for story …. FOX presents a broader range of view points than does CNN or MSNBC. You see the problem when you see how CNN is labeled as the worst … when in fact, they are closer to FOX on the bias scale.. MSNBC is far and away the most biased in content. Mush worse than either CNN or FOX. Public opinion cannot be used to judge a bias when the public is the victim of the bias. Only a forensic analysis can determine bias. That is why I have consistently challenged people to get out the stopwatch and paper.
Actually, Larry, one is based on Gallup polling, indeed that is public opinion from a fairly reputable survey organization that rates highly, by both sides…..
Another is a blend of opinions, survey and expert, and a methodology for objective, unbiased, in-depth content analysis.
Another skips the polling and just used objective, unbiased, in-depth content analysis.
The last, I honestly don’t know, so you can toss it…….
All methodologies are listed, so Larry did not need to get it totally wrong, and he can review to see if it is to his liking, which, since he apparently didn’t even read them, is probably not happening.
So we have Larry’s view he pulled out of his ass with his grand view of the world, and his unbiased, nonpartisan outlook (sarcasm alert) and you have these guys with polling by Gallup, and analytical views plus or minus polling by three others.
Good try Larry, as I keep telling you, you may want to look before you put thy foot into thy mouth. I always feel that you will look, so I do, and I would anyways. It’s just good research.
Frank Stetson … spin as you may you do not prove you point. Mostly public opinion or dubious professional opinions. We will disagree on reliable OBJECTIVE methodology. At the bottom line, we — and the repots — all place MSNBC in the top rank of biased media. I just think a more objective analysis would not put FOX in the same box. All the cable networks use political commentary in prime time, You have to see how the news is covered. You are so obsessed with besting tha Larry Horist in your mind — and judging your own spin with waves of self-congratulation and insults based on a bogus sense of superiority that lose credibility. Maybe a little objectivity and you would not continue to make such a fool of yourself.

They put FOX and MSNBC where they put them, both about equal at being polar opposites or FOX as being farther out there. You call them dubious. They might call you a partisan hack with absolutely no polling and no methodology except spew. Maybe, I don’t know. Only because they certainly indicate they think you are wrong. And getting all defensive about it does not make you right.
I did not best Larry Horist, any version, nor did I want to, I just posted what experts are saying which seems to be different to what Larry, an expert in his own mind, says.
I am not a fool, but thanks once again for the ad hominem. Perhaps rather than fighting, calling names, making up your own reality of what you think I think and why, you might stay on point and stick to the issues.
PERHAPS you might have said: well, it’s dated and the NEW FOX seems a bit different. At least that’s what my commentary above seems to resonate with as to why I watch them….again….after not for quite some while.
