Why the Biden vaccination mandate is not working

Why the Biden vaccination mandate is not working

Biden has a propensity to state a goal – and then impose policies that will not only not achieve it but will have a reverse effect.

He has done it with border security.  Even as Vice President Harris admonished South Americans to NOT travel to the border in an attempt to enter America, the Biden administration was holding up carrots – assuring them of admission and benefits once they arrived.

He has done it with the Afghanistan withdrawal.  His action to end the War in Afghanistan provided NONE of the benefits he promised – not even an assurance that the newly empowered terrorists will not carry on their war against the United States.

And now he has done it with the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Biden said he would have 100 million folks fully vaccinated in his first 100 days in office.  In that case, he was simply putting his name of the previously announced Trump goal of 100 million vaccinated in the first 90 days of 2021.  There was nothing Biden could do in such a short time to actually impact on those first 100 days.  He was just stealing credit – lying to the public.

He did say he would have 70 percent of Americans vaccinated by the Fourth of July.  In that time frame, he could have implemented policies to meet that goal.  At one point, the Biden administration claimed they would come very close to the 70 percent goal – something in the range of 65 to 68 percent.  But that was a lie, too.  As of today –more than two months after the Fourth, the fully vaccinated population is hovering around 50 percent.  It goes up to 64 percent if you include those with one dose.

It is obvious that those who reject the vaccine are not some small groups of right-wingers – as Biden and the Democrats would like America to believe.  After all, everything wrong in America – in the eyes of Biden and the left – is due to redneck Republicans.

Like all fake political narratives, this one does not pass muster.  To sell their narrative, they point to red states – without noting that among the lowest vaccinated ethnic groups are African Americans.  And they represent a large portion of the population in several southern red states, such as Mississippi.

Biden has moved from using the bully pulpit to convince the unvaccinated to roll up their sleeves to a more aggressive enforcement.  He has mandated that all federal employees – including the military and government contractors – to be vaccinated as a condition of employment.  The members of Congress are exempt, however – as usual.

Biden has now added businesses with more than 100 employees.

This is where it gets dicey.  As the boss of the federal bureaucracy, Biden has the power to impose workplace regulations –as any private sector can impose such regulations.  Individually, they can require every employee to be vaccinated.

But the question is: Does the FEDERAL government have the power to impose such regulations on private business.  There are arguments to be made on both sides – and we will not really have an answer until the issue arrives on the docket of the Supreme Court.

Those arguing in favor of the Biden order say that it is not different than the federal Occupation Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulating workplace safety.  They also note that many states fighting the Biden vaccine order have mandatory vaccine requirements for school kids.

Those requirements were imposed by the states or the local school districts – and they have not been seriously challenged in many years.  But whether the federal government can usurp that power from the states or local school boards is a whole ‘nuther question.

Out of frustration, Biden imposed his harsh regulation with even harsher rhetoric.  If you summarize his intensely negative description of the unvaccinated, you might be inclined to see them as “enemies of the state.”

That approach has both anti-vaxxers and those trying to sell vaccinations upset.  Folks in the medical profession have said that Biden’s rhetoric, alone, is hardening the unvaccinated.  It goes along with that old adage that “you do not catch flies with vinegar.”

As a long-time big-government liberal, Biden does not understand personal freedom.  He believes in a big powerful government.  It is the duty of we the people to simply obey.

But that is not how most Americans respond.  MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough calls it “hyper-individualism.”  That is to stand in opposition to the “rugged individualism” that was conceived in the Constitution – and that for 237 years has made America the greatest Republic in the history of the world.

It will be interesting to see if Biden’s my-way-or-the-highway approach to governance will be successful in winning passage of his incredibly dangerous big-effing-deal — $3.9 trillion big – social welfare package will work.  Or will he find that his excesses and missteps will doom yet another Biden goal?  We can only hope so.

So, there ‘tis.

    “Why Biden’s mask mandates isn’t working”…

You could have saved a ton of time and energy, lemme help you with this…

Because 33% of America is just plain stubborn and ignorant.

    • Karen K

No, 33%of the people are smart. My doctor said it was nothing but a severe flu and I will stick with what she says. Not with someone who is delusional.

  2. Martin

Nuremberg trials! In order to have a viable vaccine you would have to isolate the antigen. In which, the vaccine is produced. It has never even been identified. Therefore the making of all this is a bioweapon(manmade) to push the present narrative. That HRC was to bring to fruition in 2016. The trail starts at Fort Detrick(Obama, Fauci, Gates). Moves to Professor Charles Lieber of Harvard, who through endowments was working with CCP. Being Fauci’s eyes and ears so nothing comes back to him. By now I am puzzled how Dr. Lieber is still alive, when big pharma(cabal) has taken out at least a dozen other people, not due to Covid bioweapon. Ivermectin is the ANTIDOTE for this BIOWEAPON. This why the media attack it and for that matter still is. Go look and see who really owns the media, dive deep! How does a country go from 0 to a 100 back 0 in less than a years time. Yet, this Biden gets over 80 million votes, you really believe that. There are NO co-incidences, this puppet president serves at the pleasure of a globalist cabal (Switzerland/Central banker’s) same as HRC that bought these elections with your stolen money. They have come to collect and want you dead. And this administration is expected to deliver that. Or it will be their heads on a stick. If the cabal can’t have it their way, then they are prepared to burn it all to the ground. You all NEED to know the mindset of your enemy. This is “Constitution Day” – We the People Day! your being shown your opportunity to take back your sovereignty. WAKE UP !

    • Joseph S. Bruder

Well, Dr. Martin, thanks for your brilliant prouncement on what you need to have a viable vaccine! When did you graduate from medical school? The rest of your post makes even less sense… It reminds me of the parody from Saturday night live, where the girl randomly spits out unintelligible conspiracy theories.

  3. Ben

You know what we could do…
We could put a $10,000 bounty on the unvaccinated. Have your neighbors and friends call a tip line and have them file a law suit against the friends that they know to be unvaccinated. That way the government is not involved.

I mean the SCOTUS has already said it’s ok.
This solves the unvaccinated problem and doesn’t involve mandates.
    What say you Larry?

    • Theodore Sueck

How about we put a bounty on assholes like you? That would make a lot more sense than your usual crap replies.

      • Dan Tyree

They used to say in the wonderful McCarthy days that if you know a communist turn them in. There’s an idea. Snitching can be a two way street. And cause for retaliation.

      • Ben

        Theo,
        What makes me an asshole?
What part of my statement is not accurate?
I see you haven’t refuted my post, you simply resorted to name calling. Seems to be the typical MO of the PBP readers.

        • Dan Tyree

What makes Ben an asshole? He was born that way Just lucky I guess

  4. Frankstetson

Don’t bogart that joint Martin, pass it over this way.

I bet he’s one of Danny boy’s friends that knows the hells up Harris truth.

  5. Theodore Sueck

How about a bounty on assholes like you instead? All you do is post drivel and lies about anything that Ben posts, so why don’t you just crawl back under your rock and go to hell.

    • Brian ashby

      Theodore go suck.

    • Ben

Theo got his panties in a bunch

One of the biggest problems with vaccination in general is that it is always counter-productive.
Uniformly, the only known effect, since its inception at the end of the 18th century, is to SPREAD disease – exactly what you’d expect if you know how natural human immunity works. See https://www.tprip.com for more details.

Quite apart from the fact that this is NOT a vaccine (as Martin has noted above) it’s actual claimed efficacy is 0.8% – way below the 50% minimum needed to be granted a licence for human use. With a statistical trick, this 0.8% is morphed into 95% but the truth remains below one percent! Statistically speaking, random chance is more effective than the “vaccines”.

As daily more and more people around the world realise how enormous the gap is between propaganda and truth, this could actually be the overture to vaccination’s swan song.

    Blessed be
    Karma Singh

    • larry Horist

Karma Singh. You seem to be a very intelligent person, so I take what you say seriously — not the words of political partisanship. But, if vaccines are not effective, how do you explain the wide disparity between the outcomes of the vaccinated and the non-vaccinate in terms of contracting the virus, hospitalizations, serious cases and deaths? Those coming down with the virus and suffering the worse outcome are overwhelmingly the unvaccinated. And those statistics are not controlled by some central authority in Washington. They are the organ reports of thousands of doctors, hospital and clinics across the country. That puts them beyond any wild conspiracy theory.

    • Joseph S. Bruder

Wow, another medical doctor shows up among PBP’s readership! You would probably do well not to quote someone who shows himself to be a complete idiot. I mean, seriously, did you even try to read his letter beyond the first sentence? Did any of the rest of it make sense to you?

Besides the fact that you know nothing about numbers and are apparently stymied by percentages, how many people do you know who had polio as children? I know exactly one person, and he grew up in India before they started vaccinations. When I was growing up in the 1960’s, I knew of one or two people in their 20’s who had polio as children, but none who were younger than me. How many children have you heard about who died of measles, mumps, tetanus, chickenpox, diptheria, smallpox, yellow fever, malaria? Plus there are another half-dozen that are not eradicated, but are seldom seen in the US because of vaccinations.

So, just to educate you a little, if that’s possible – .8 means 8 out of 10, or 80 out of 100, which is the same as 80%. There was never anything to do with COVID that was .8%. Some early estimates of the efficacy of the vaccines were around 75% or 80%, and since then they have generally all shown themselves to be more than 90% effective. Yes, that means that up to 10% of people who are vaccinated could still get COVID, but the data has shown that “breakthrough cases” are much less severe than what COVID does to unvaccinated people.

And if you want to contrast what COVID with and without a vaccine does to you, read this (add www to the front):
      dailykos.com/stories/2021/9/18/2053011/-A-Letter-To-Her-Patient-by-an-ICU-nurse
This nurse was on duty when this 50-year old man was admitted, in bad shape, with COVID. Shortly after that, she (vaccinated) got a breakthrough case of COVID, recuperated at home, and went back to work 3 weeks later. The man was still occupying a bed at the hospital, and after 7 weeks he finally passed, leaving a wife and 3 daughters. It’s heartbreaking – is this how you want to end up? If not, I’d advise you not to listen to people who rant and rave about what is or isn’t a vaccine, or how “young people don’t get COVID”, or any other bullshit like that.

And Larry, you should be ashamed for STILL criticizing the Biden adminstration for trying to get as many people vaccinated as possible.. He’s trying to save lives, like a responsible President should do. The former orange-haired guy and governors like Abbott and DeSantis seem hell-bent on killing as many of their constituents as possible. You live in FLORIDA – 50,000 deaths from COVID so far, still losing more than 300 per day, and it’s become almost entirely a disease of the unvaccinated. Why would anyone NOT support vaccines or face masks, especially at schools and businesses where people congregate? To oppose these measures is suicidal and just plain idiotic. Your whole article should be “Get the vaccine…get the vaccine… get the vaccine… are you fucking listening? get the vaccine… do you want to die? if not, get the vaccine…”

  7. Frankstetson

I wonder why only the unvaccinated end up in the hospital or dead.

    About 2,000 a day now.

    Bad Karma I guess.

One vaccine is fully approved; another is the same technology. The third is traditional.

Given the rollout, no other vaccine has ever been more tested across the globe. Very low adverse affects. No known long term issues and most often these pop in the first six months in the history of all vaccines. We are long past that window.

Natural immunity lasts a short time and alpha immunity does not protect against delta. They should get the vaccine too.

Much of what’s noted above is a lie. The moderators are allowing misinformation that can kill. This is not free speech; this is a prescription for death. 2,000! Americans a day. Almost all unvaccinated. Bad Karma or bad choices. Only the misinformed are dying now. It’s a pandemic of the unvaccinated. Yet another brilliant conservative movement that even smarter conservatives avoid and get the shot.

  8. Frankstetson

Gee Larry, did you mash up your vaccination goals and results between all citizens and adult citizens able to be vaccinated to spin your conclusion? Did you just misinform?

  9. frank stetson

May your Karma be returned to you ten-fold.

There is a pack of lies presented here, allowed by moderation, that could be used to make some dangerous decisions affecting people, their families, their community, and their nation.

There’s over 670,000 people dead; whether you believe that’s the exact number or not, it’s a huge number. This is not just another flu.

The vaccine works. Side effects are few and far between. It’s been used over 6,000,000,000 times across the entire globe with ZERO major incidents. You have more chance of getting hit by lightning…. and a freak of a bigger chance of catching this, heading to the hospital, having a ventilator tube jammed down your throat, and dying. 1 in 500 of us are dead. Sure, it’s mostly older folks but not necessarily anymore. We are still dying at over 2,000 a day, and a lot of old folks are either dead or in virtual quarantine.

Our life expectancy is down for the first time since World War II.

The current pandemic is mostly of the unvaccinated, and hardly any of the vaccinated, if they get it, go to the hospital, even less die. That’s over 2,000 unvaccinated people die every day in America from this. Unvaccinated.

One of the first medical mandates was done by George Washington in 1777. We probably would still be a colony of England IF we did not have that first medical mandate in America in 1777 by the Father of our Mandate, George. There’s a sign in Valley Forge: “George got jabbed here, and then he slept” :>)

Larry, I honestly don’t see this as the place to make a personal freedom stand. Americans have been making community-based decisions since before we were a Republic. How about the personal freedom cancelation the unvaccinated are making for the rest of us with their stupid, unscientific, baseless lies. Since when do the assholes decide for the rest of the body?

Larry, there should not even be a need for the mandate. We are losing more people than in any War we have ever been in. War’s have all sorts of mandates that people gratefully observe for the good of the nation. Over 670,000 dead for the purpose of personal freedom. Freedom of speech to spew lies that cost lives. There is something totally fucked up with your principles, priorities, or both. The Republicans are forced to cater to anti-vaxers, anti-science, anti-medical, antigovernmental, anti-anti demographics because you got no where else to go. Without them, your incredibly shrinking party could disappear. And that may be the real reason for your support.
