Pope Francis: Teaching Gender Identity in Schools is 'Against Nature'

Pope Francis has always believed that gender identity classes don’t belong in schools, but lately he has been much more public with his opposition.

Over the weekend, during a trip to Georgia and Azerbaijan he stated that teaching children that gender is a choice is part of the “global war out to destroy marriage” and that it is “against nature.” 

He reasons that when a child is taught this in school it’s “ideological colonization.” Basically, they are being conditioned to believe that changing their gender is totally okay.  

“Today, there is a global war out to destroy marriage. Not with weapons but with ideas … we have to defend ourselves from ideological colonization,” said Francis.

Pope Francis sees rejecting what God intended for your body and self as a sin. “Speaking with Pope Benedict, who is well, and has a clear mind, he was telling me: ‘Holiness, this is the epoch of sin against God the Creator.’ He’s intelligent! God created man and woman, God created the world this way, this way, this way, and we are doing the opposite,” said Francis, reported by USA Today.  

He is referring to the number of transgender individuals who have had surgery to change their biological sex and destroyed their reproduction organs to make the transformation.

The Pope has a point about this ideological colonization. The Trans Agenda continues to gain momentum and the children being forced into this movement by parents are being abused.  

“Conditioning children into believing a lifetime of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex is normal and healthful is child abuse,” according to American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds.) “The American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds) urges educators and legislators to reject all policies that condition children to accept as normal a life of chemical and surgical impersonation of the opposite sex. Facts – not ideology – determine reality.”

This is a global issue. 80 primary-school aged children per year are expected to begin the transition process, according to Mermaids, a charity that assists families with transgendered children and teenagers.

As the concept of gender theory begins to be more prevalent, more children will be confused about their gender and will question if they are meant to be a different sex.

This only promotes transgenderism in children. Making the decision to get gender reassignment surgery is something that will inevitably change a person’s life forever. Parents are doing an injustice to their child if they allow them to make this decision at such a young age.
