Parents worry their children are being brainwashed as LGBT groups become more active in Americas schools

The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (better known as GLSEN) has middle and high school students across the nation taking a vow of silence on April 17th to raise awareness that bullying based on sexual orientation is a serious issue that needs to be addressed and stopped. Those opposed are keeping their kids home from school.

To show that the LGBT agenda does not, in fact, own America’s youth, concerned families have organized an effort to oppose the Day of Silence (DOS). They call it the DOS Walkout and are encouraging parents to keep their children home from school on Friday, April 17th.

Christian families and other groups think that government-sponsored programs based on sex and gender do not belong in schools. They don’t want their children to come home from school thinking that homosexuality and cross-dressing are acceptable behaviors.

On their website, GLSEN provides K-12 teaching resources, such as a how-to guide regarding politically correct language. Kevin Jennings, a gay activist known as the “Safe Schools Czar” founded GLSEN and is now the Executive Director of the Arcus Foundation.

The Arcus Foundation played a big role in Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012 and provides grants for LGBT individuals and causes. Billionaire Joe Stryker is the sponsor behind this foundation.

In an interview with Breitbart News, Reverend Bill Owens explained that the LGBT agenda has “hijacked the Civil Rights movement” and is attempting to “brainwash” America’s youth into thinking homosexuality is okay. He urges Christians to treat the DOS as an opportunity for prayer.
