Maduro in Custody in Movie-Style Action

Maduro in Custody in Movie-Style Action

Before getting into the nuances, we should all agree that in capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, the United States military pulled off one of the most amazing, impressive and successful surgical military operations in U.S. history.  It is an achievement beyond imagination.  From the planning – which was never leaked – to the execution, Project Sentinel, was flawless.  The American military was able to enter Venezuela, locate Maduro and his wife, arrest them and extradite them to the United States without any injuries to American personnel or loss of equipment.  This in view of the extraordinary security measures that surrounded Maduro.  That is a huge WOW!

What was the justification?  At its core, it was a criminal case.  Maduro had previously been indicted by the U.S. Justice Department as the kingpin of an international state-run drug trafficking operation.  There was a $50 million bounty on his head, It was similar to the case of Panama President Manuel Noriega who was captured by American military – and who died in 2017 after serving several prison sentences in the United States, France and Panama.

While they were not the direct reasons for this specific action, a number of benefits may accrue from the removal of Maduro.  It was not essentially a regime change since the regime – through the Venezuelan vice president and other government officials — is still in place.  Whether they remain in place is unknown at this point.

Maduro has maintained power through what most democratic nations consider to be a crooked election.  His leadership has been condemned by many nations.  Among those who support the opposition are Argentina, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, Uruguay, Guatemala and Ecuador.  Like the United States, European nations have placed sanctions on Venezuela – with France, Italy and the Netherlands restricting diplomacy.

The international disdain for the Maduro regime was evident when the Nobel Peace Prize was award to Maria Corina Machado, the leader of the Venezuelan opposition.

Venezuela has been an adversary of the United States and the world democracies since the days of Maduro’s predecessor, Hugo Chavez.  Its alliances and interests have been aligned to authoritarian nations – most notably China, Russia and Cuba.

And then there is the issue of the oil.  Venezuela has the richest oil reserves of any nation on earth – including the Arab nations.  Oil is both a commercial and political issue.  Venezuelan oil trade has been used to the advantage of America’s enemies – especially Russia and China.  In addition, China is Venezuela’s number one trading partner.  Restoring Venezuela to its democratic traditions would be a win for the United States and our allies – and a loss for the Axis of Evil nations,

The capture of Maduro is a good thing for the United States by all measures – and has raised the prospects of many other good things to follow.  Trump deserves credit for a risky and bold action that has been successful beyond any expectations.

It was once the mantra of Washington that partisan politics ended at the shoreline.  That is not true anymore.  An and irrational and obsessive hatred for Trump has had prominent Democrats and members of the radical left-wing establishment putting aside the best interests of the nation in favor of constant propagandized criticism.  This situation is no different … and more about that in the next commentary.

So, there ‘tis.

The part about no leaks I’m sure wasn’t referring to congressman schiff was it? We’ve seen there are way too many “loose lips sink ships” in Congress to only not trust just one.

2004a; Can you actually name military or war plans leaked by Congress, no names needed, just the leak.

    Do you hear Jeopardy music?

Strange how the sheep hear their Sheppard’s call and believe.

The last leak from high ranking government officials came from Hegseth, himself and other senior Trump administration officials accidentally leaking secret Houthi war plans to The Atlantic leftist publication as they used a Signal group chat, sparking outrage about their national security breach, including Mike Waltz, JD Vance, and Pete Hegseth all violating the Espionage Act which Trump swept under his very dirty rug.

Let’s see you find another as egregious as this.

I spell my name, Danger. Let’s be frank.

Omgoodness, it’s Hoover time as a great sucking sound fills the pages. How long will you trumpet this one oh craven image worshipper. Will your sense of logic and decency ever return? Remember Ukraine. Think about it. Why?

Yes Virginia, it was a Christmas miracle to snatch and grab right out of the movie, Clear and Present Danger, and we all remember how that ended. Trump loves visual media, that’s why the hawks offer him his fill. You act like it’s a new flick. Come on dude; Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, GAZA, Kurdistan, it’s an old tragic comedy with the same old imperialist plot, usually involving oil, again. Given your background and experience in politics, I am just amazed that you can’t see behind the screen a little better. One reason we succeeded in VZ was that we lowered the rules of engagement allowing more civilian casualties. Trump started that against ISIS and while he expedited the end that Obama planned and delivered, albeit slower and with far less civilian casualties. Trump took the same Obama plan, accelerated the pace by lowering the rules of engagement with the same results, faster, at the loss of maybe thousands of innocents. In VZ, estimates are between 40 -100 dead, many innocent civilians whose crime it was to live in a poor section. Old people, kids. Trump also polished off a number of Cubans and maybe even some Russians protecting Maduro.

Remember 2022, when US DEA and Honduran forces surrounded Hernandez, peacefully, and extradited to US for conviction. Did you say, how miraculous for Biden then? Then we convicted him only to have Trump let him go. What will be Maduro’s fate and does he have the stuff to buy his pardon? Just asking.

What Trump won’t discuss are the suspected seven wounded US military flown to San Antonio for recovery. Not even sure they all lived although rumor has it five returned to duty, two still under care. Gunshot wounds and shrapnel. Why doesn’t Trump mention these wounded warriors. Why hide them from us? Does he think they are “losers” as he once said. OR just continuing to polish a turd and not willing to tarnish his advertised perfect score. What’s up with that Larry? How nice to be wounded and forgotten. Good message for troop morale.

The question is why for VZ? Narcotics? Oil? Regime changes, Imperialism, or just transactional opportunity. Certainly won’t be the “American Way of life? Pretty sure even the conservative populace hates us. I say it’s just a transactional monetary opportunity that Trump has said: “the money is mine, all mine, to control. And I will help the people, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

Remember way back in 2019 when you vilified Fiona Hill, that Trump administration official, expert on Russia, who testified to Congress about the Trump/Putin desire for a “strange swap arrangement” where the U.S. would get control over Venezuela, and in return, Russia would get a free hand in Ukraine, essentially a barter deal over influence in both countries, according to The New York Times and other sources *https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/06/world/americas/russia-us-venezuela-ukraine.html*.

We have seen Trump’s hand in Ukraine, or lack thereof, you have questioned it, a lot. Look deeper. Now we see Vlad’s in Venezuela, or lack of response thereof. We take a tanker under the protection of his sub and crickets. Good screen perhaps…. Ah, the memories. Or is that a Hill to high for you to climb, an impossible movie plot for two guys who seem to be plotting something together in all those private sessions. Now we may have killed a bunch of Russian citizens in VZ and Vlad issues some feckless warnings as Don continues to step down from Ukraine support. We certainly messed up their material there, gotta figure they were manning it.

As I said, miraculous mission made easier by lowering our rules of engagement killing upwards of 100 from VZ, many innocent civilians, women and children. And few Russian pawns without a hint of recrimination from Vlad. Seems as if the Moscow murderer has given his blessing.

And then there’s the oil. Trump is taking his tax of 50M barrels; that’s a whopping two days of US consumption for thick oil that only one US refinery can handle from the largest defined oil store on the planet. Only Chevron can deal with this stuff and other Big Oil would need to refine their refineries. Actually, he pivoted and now it’s 30-50M barrels, hey, what’s a few billion between the victor and the vanquished. That’s $2.8B that Trump declares he will control. Chevron is a key player in the Russian oil and CPC projects. Tis good to be King, eh Larry. Where in the Constitution does it say the President keeps the spoils of War? He also reiterated that big oil will run VZ oil and be up and going in 18 months. That’ mostly Chevron, baby, and I will make some bucks there tyvm, bought as Trump went in to protect my ass-ets. Sure sounds like boots on the ground to me to get the oil and protect our ass-ets.. Made 5
5% in on day on the buy that fateful morning. Trump demanded VZ cease all oil deals with Russia and China; I am sure they are OK with that, eh? After all, they are Chevron buddies.

Larry seems to forget all he has learned in his abject fealty to our liar in chief. Truth is, Larry does not know why we went in much less what our plan is for our future. Boots on the ground will be an anathema to most Americans but chances are we cannot meet any of Trump’s stated end points without it. Larry states: “It was once the mantra of Washington that partisan politics ended at the shoreline” and he has just got to know that’s been untrue since before the Founder’s time and all time since. He’s trying to hide his imperialism by demonizing anyone pointing out issues with our recent actions and future plans. Larry and I both came of adulthood during Vietnam, come on man, why do you forget. He’s a generation ahead of me, that’s how long that unintended war, based on a few lies, went on. Government lies. Big government lies big. Both parties. Mix in the oil companies, and voila, it’s the Thing and not fantastic: truth clobbering time. I hope for future Trump suck-up stories, Larry reflects on Fiona Hill’s words to perhaps put some perspective on both Ukraine and VZ realizing Trump is a transactional, predatory, shark who will chew the living daylights out of any opportunity he bumps into. With those cold, black, heartless eyes gleaming. His polls down, the mid-terms dreary, he’s lashing out in all directions, thrashing, attacking, and militarizing our lives, and the world’s. Sad to say, his rally-round-the-flag boys will be a short bump as the reality of the aftermath sinks in. We are in a oil glut: $2.50 a gal proves it. How much lower will even matter against the price of eggs, steak, health insurance, continues to erode his popularity. Next he will toss out free money —- Larry, you know where that ends. He knows he’s got less than 12 months and he’s worried.

Now, onto our next crisis, what new crisis. Look over there, shiny object, fuhgit about those prices, lack of job opportunities, debt, health care, welfare, and let’s put a target on the ass of the next guy to hate. Come on Larry, look deeper. Your Ukraine answer, and more, is right in front of your face.

Larry, Larry, Larry, I was wondering when you would put out some of your usual bullshit on this illegal operation and of course you didn’t disappoint! While I am no fan of Maduro (and agree he needed to be gone) this operation had virtually nothing to do with his drug operations and everything to do with Venezuela’s oil reserves. The world is condemning this operation (the one you praised trump for) why? Not because they were fans of maduro, but it legitimizes other evil empires (China and Russia) to attack neighbors who they think belong to them (think Ukraine). With this operation we have joined the ranks of Russia, because laws generally respected by the civilized world do not apply to us. So disgusting to see what you and the rest of the maggots have brought our country to…

Mike F as in faggot the commiecrats have been calling for the president of Venezuela to be removed for years. What changed? Or are they all hat and no cattle? It’s funny that things change when the situation is reversed. You and Dunger are both grasping at straws. Why didn’t retard joe go after that guy? Oh right. He was too busy fucking up the Afghanistan so called rescue and leaving billions of dollars in equipment to the ragheads

Mike F as in Freedom Fighter. I think everyone agrees that it’s a good thing that Maduro is gone and that the snatch and grab was a marvelous operation. It’s just that some sheeples want to expand that to make all the lies become truth.

As I said on day one, good riddance but what’s next is really tough. All their sucking up will not change that, Joe got Hernandez, a real drug Kingpin. Trump rewarded his narco drug terrorism with a pardon. Wonder how much crypto he bought….

Can’t free the Epstein files. Over 1,000 victims, many of pedo rape covered over. .

Can’t free the redaction info; files covered up.

Can’t share MN iCE crime data with MN police. JD claims ICE has immunity so why even bother. Just a dead mother. Her crime: driving in ICEy condition. Says trying to run one over. Didn’t they train them not to step in front of the car or the illegality of shooting to stop fleeing. He fears for his life by a 37 yr old unarmed lesbian domestic terrorist as he shoots her in the head, execution style from the side window as she passes by him. .

There is no transparency as the fox is watching the legal henhouses.

ICE is untrained, unprofessional, and out of control.

And you think you can control VZ.
