Adam Schiff facing criminal charges
In the recent election, Californian Adam Schiff got himself promoted from the House of Representatives to the United States Senate. He is now facing the possibility of another venue change – federal prison. Unlikely, but possible. A criminal referral was sent to the DOJ in May, with the information made public in July.
It seems that Schiff may have (innocent until proven guilty) committed a series of frauds – including bank, mail and wire. At least that is what Williams Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has sent a criminal referral to the Department of Justice. Pulte added that the Financial Crimes Division of Fannie Mae “concluded that Mr. Schiff has engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud” over a number of years.
According to Pulte, Schiff “has, in multiple instances, falsified bank documents and property records to acquire more favorable loan terms, impacting payments over a 16 year period, from 2003-2019, for a Potomac, Maryland-based property.” Specifically, Schiff is accused of falsely claiming his Maryland home was his primary residence in order to get a lower mortgage interest rate.
It is no small irony that Schiff is being pursued on charges that he and others have leveled at Trump for years. They are similar to charges which have New York Attorney General Letitia James under federal investigation – another rabid anti-Trump bloodhound. Unlike Trump, against whom James secured a civil liability verdict, she and Schiff are facing criminal charges.
Schiff is being accused on four counts — bank fraud, wire fraud, mail fraud and making false statements to a financial institution. If Schiff is indicted and convicted on the charges, the maximum sentence would be 20 years in a federal penitentiary. That is not going to happen, of course. As a first-time offender and a powerful senator – equally important considerations — Schiff is unlikely to spend more than a few weeks in the hoosegow, if at all.
“Mr. Schiff appears to have falsified records in order to receive favorable loan terms and also appears to have been aware of the financial benefits of a primary residence mortgage when compared to a secondary residence mortgage,” Pulte wrote in his criminal referral letter to the DOJ.
In 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013, Schiff refinanced his Maryland home and listed it as his “principal residence.” Schiff simultaneously listed his California condo as his primary residence in separate financing documents — getting preferential treatment on both houses.
As a United States congressman, Schiff was required to have his official residence in California – although he is not required to reside within the Congressional District for which he served.
Trump jumped in, of course. Posting on his Truth Social platform, the President wrote:
“Adam Schiff said that his primary residence was in MARYLAND to get a cheaper mortgage and rip off America, when he must LIVE in CALIFORNIA because he was a Congressman from CALIFORNIA. I always knew Adam Schiff was a Crook.”
Schiff has been one of the most rabid anti-Trumpers in Congress. He was the Lead Impeachment Manager for the first Trump impeachment – and a ubiquitous anti-Trump guest on news programs – especially those leaning to the left.
Schiff got caught in a major lie involving accusations that Trump had conspired with Russia during the 2016 campaign. Schiff told reporters that as a member of the Intelligence Committee, he had seen hard evidence of the conspiracy – but could not reveal it at the time. Apparently, he was expecting Special Counsel Robert Mueller to justify the claim. However, Mueller’s report stated that no American – including Trump – had conspired with Russian interference. Schiff’s credibility regarding Trump was forever damaged — and he was initially called out for lying to the press. Since Schiff is a left-winger, the media dropped the story quickly.
Responding to the Criminal Referral, Schiff called it a “baseless attempt at political retribution by Trump” – and said the President is still upset that he (Schiff) had led the first impeachment against the president in 2019. It was a weak boilerplate comeback, to say the least.
Schiff’s problem is that in such cases, the paper record can be very convincing. He clearly misrepresented the truth on a number of Maryland mortgage applications – and clearly received the financial benefit over several years. Schiff can hardly plead innocence. Anyone with an IQ higher than a hockey score knows the financial benefits that accrue to a primary official residence and as opposed to a second home – especially a member of Congress. Schiff knew that he had to maintain his official residence in California.
So far, it is only a referral to the DOJ, but I am betting that they launch an investigation – with the odds favoring an indictment. After that, who knows?

The real story is: who hasn’t Trump gone after? Presumed guilty before judged by peers? Trump says: “now Shifty should pay the price of prison for a real crime, not one made up by the corrupt accusers!” Being Presidential means you say: “if found guilty…..”
Last week Trump judged Hillary and Barack: “I let her off the hook, and I’m very happy I did, but it’s time to start after what they did to me,” Mr. Trump said of Hillary Clinton, adding: “Whether it’s right or wrong, it’s time to go after people. Obama’s been caught directly. He’s guilty.” Trump then added. “This was treason. This was every word you can think of.” And you know the penalty for treason, don”t you. Trump is calling for the maximum penalty after personally assuming guilt. “I let her off the hook, and I’m happy I did” says it all as to whose pulling the strings to arrest and try who he deems guilty. The Felon King.
Last week, Tulsi Gabbard issued yet another trumped-up report including documents that she claims show a “treasonous conspiracy” in 2016 by the Obama administration to harm Mr. Trump. Remember when we did this in court, not the press? But let’s review the bidding here. First, Gabbard released a video Trump saw as promoting her, not him. Suddenly she is left out of important Trump meetings. Then she releases the “Obama report” charging him with treason. Now, Trump loves Gabbard but Bondi is holding the bag to charge Obama based on Gabbard’s intelligence. Sucks to be Bondi.
Gabbard not only accused Obama of a crime, she is forcing Bondi’s hand, Bondi dismisses the use of special counsel for political cases, Trump wants blood, Bondi is on the hook now.
According to the White House: “Ms. Gabbard “has outlined a credible case that pursues the president’s goal of transparency and accountability, and now it resides in the Department of Justice, where the president has full confidence in her ability to do a full investigation and come up with findings based on the information provided to her,” oh yeah, Bondi is holding the bag that Gabbard packed especially for her. This will be fun as it is literally impossible for them to win against Obama in court while, once again, wasting our tax dollars on frivolous, capricious legal cases aimed to soothe the Felon King’s heart. It aches, it aches, for all the transgressions in the past. Revenge, retribution, that’s why Trump says they all committed treason and the guilty traitors must meet the full extent of Trump’s law. Yet Trump’s law also includes Presidential immunity for just about anything making this case almost impossible from the get go. Just political theater played out in the press with pundits acting as judges and peers.
Trump’s retribution hit list so far includes J. Biden, the other J. Biden, H. Biden, maybe a few more Bidens, and then B. Obama, M. Obama, B. Clinton, H. Clinton, Comey Dad, Comey Daughter, Brenan, and now, even low level Term 1 aides who spoke against Trump like Krebs, Taylor, Donilon, Dunn, former White House chief of staff Ron Klain, former deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed and Steve Ricchetti, a former counselor to the president. Even Biden’s Dr O’Connor will be investigated. And a Partridge in a Pear Tree, Keith I believe. That’s one big bag of bogus cases built on the brains of Bondi and Gabbard. We will see if they are better than the perennial losses of the farmer Comer and the wrestling coach friend of pedo’s, Jordan.
The DOJ hitman, Martin, has said, on the record, “If they can be charged, we’ll charge them.” Then he added, “But if they can’t be charged, we will name them.” And there you have your revenge and retribution. If we can’t try em in court, we’ll fry em in the press. We will use the full power of the bully pulpit for the revenge and retribution of one man, the Felon King. Fuck the Constitution, we have Truth Social.
The bottom line in all this is results and cost. So far, Comer and Jordan have wasted hundreds of millions in taxpayer dollars for zero indictments, zero convictions against many of these folks. Durham failed. Rubio failed. Millions more tax payer dollars wasted. So much for infrastructure week. Judge the results, so far ZIP. Expect more zip in the future, but many stories on FOX, and not the WSJ. And the cost: millions heading to hundreds of millions of your hard-earned cash. I would rather have a bridge than a few FOX stories and no convictions.
So, where are we going. Trump’s path is in his own words: ““We’re very proud of you, Tulsi,” Mr. Trump said Tuesday at the gathering with congressional Republicans. “They cheated so badly, and ultimately it led to loss in 2020, and it shouldn’t have been a loss. It was a big victory. We won by a lot.” We’re going back to 2020 to prove the Democrats rigged that election. Then we will prove the Chinese bankrolled the Biden’s and that pigs indeed do fly. They use Air Force One until their Muslim Force One is ready.
