Why the immigration issue alone should elect Trump

Why the immigration issue alone should elect Trump

If Trump wins, there will be a number of reasons. Many will place primary importance on various issues – such as the economy, inflation, crime, foreign policy and the question of whether a voter was better off four years ago than today – the Covid pandemic notwithstanding.

BUT … the issue that dominates them all – and involves them all – is the immigration crisis at the southern border.  The impact of the millions of illegal aliens President Biden and the Democrats allowed into America is the greatest threat to the people’s security, comity and unity.

Opening the borders to a record number of illegal border crossers is a monumental malfeasance of office, at best, or the most damaging betrayal of a president’s oath to uphold and defend the Constitution in history.  The border crisis that has metastasized across the nation is the result of gross incompetency or malicious intent.

The immigration crisis is a factor in almost every problem facing the United States today.

The crime problem is significantly exacerbated by the flow of illegals across the border.  While it is true that only a fraction of the illegal migrants are serious criminals and crime numbers may be declining in some areas, the fact remains that the hundreds of thousands of criminals have been embedded in the more than the 18 million illegal aliens the Biden administration allowed – and even encouraged – to cross the border.  Contrary to the national trend, major crime has risen in the communities most impacted by the surge in illegal aliens.

Among the criminals arriving across the border, the presence of vicious organized gangs has created a unique law enforcement problem for police and for citizens in communities in which the gangs operate.

The record number of fentanyl drug addictions and deaths has been fueled by the large amounts of the drug that flows across the southern border.

Democrat policies have resulted in limited law enforcement.  Illegal aliens receive preferential treatment from law enforcement in terms of sanctuary policies … prosecutorial discretion … lack of cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by local police, and even defunding of ICE and police agencies.

The expansion of Mexican cartels has been the result of new “businesses” producing billions of dollars for these criminal enterprises that have virtually taken over northern Mexico.  The business includes sex trafficking and child trafficking – shakedowns, intimidation, rapes and any number of rackets.  These are businesses that would barely exist without the large number of illegals flowing to the United States border as a result of Biden’s open border policies.

The crisis of the past four years has overtaxed the border patrol.  They simply cannot keep up with the flow of illegal border crossers.  That has led to hundreds of thousands of got-aways – those who are not even minimally vetted by border agents. The vetting process, itself, has broken down – leaving millions to enter the country with little or no vetting.  There is virtually no tracking of illegal aliens once they blend into the country.

The flow of illegal migrants into communities distant from the border has not only created a crime problem, but it has overburdened the local economies, social services and law enforcement.

Unfair favorable treatment of illegal aliens at the local level has resulted in resentment among American citizens who see their parks, schools, apartment buildings being turned over to illegal aliens — literally kicking residents and students out of those facilities.

The national welfare system is overburdened with welfare benefits for illegal aliens – including billions of taxpayer dollars flowing from Uncle Sam to local communities suffering dire consequences from the surge in populations of needy individuals.  It is a major and unnecessary imposition on the American taxpayer.

American citizens suffer from the misplaced priorities of the Biden administration. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is short of funds to deal with the recent hurricane crises because the Biden administration “borrowed” $1.4 billion from the FEMA fund to meet the needs of illegal aliens. Just in 2024, there have been 1254 migrant grants from FEMA to immigrant issues – and counting.

The Biden border policies have weakened American security from foreign adversaries.  Foreign nationals from more than 100 nations have joined the migration – including a growing number of individuals on the terror watch list.  Border officials believe that is only the tip of the iceberg – with terrorists entering who are not on the watch list or among the got-aways.

Illegal migrants contribute to the national health problem.  They have a higher percentage of communicable diseases and medical needs than the resident population.  Medical testing is poor to non-existent.  Illegal aliens are overwhelming emergency facilities.

The surge of illegal aliens is worsening the housing shortage, with migrants being given priority over American citizens in desperate need of housing.

America is a nation of immigrants.  We need to welcome people from other nations to help build the American economic system.  But those facts, do not mean uncontrolled and illegal entrance into America by huge numbers of alien migrants who are minimally vetted – or not vetted at all – is acceptable or a benefit to the nation.

The unprecedented flow of illegal border crossers is not a force Majeure — a crisis that cannot be avoided or controlled.  It is a multi-faceted crisis manufactured by intentional policies. The four-year unprecedented surge in illegal border crossing – and all the outcomes noted above – are the result of the policies of the Biden administration – especially Vice President Harris who was installed as the fake border Czar.  She has failed to achieve ANY objective that would ease the crisis.

Biden & Company expressed concern while willfully allowing the crisis to explode across America.  As is too often the case with Biden, his words meant nothing.  He is known by his actions – reversing all of Trump’s Executive Orders controlling the border … stopping the construction of a border wall … and offering social welfare benefits as an enticement to migrate to America — illegally.

Today, Harris promises to be tough on the border – after failing to fulfill the least of her assignment to address the border crisis. There is no reason to believe her campaign conversion any more than the border malarky she and Biden have been giving the American public for the past four years.  They have proven themselves to be advocates of open borders.

Biden’s, Harris’ and the Democrats’ open border policies have already done grave damage to the fabric of American society.  It will take years – if not generations – to end the rolling impact of the immigration crisis – and that is if we start in January without Harris at the helm.

So, there ‘tis.

The author seems more prone to lies than usual as the election approaches.

He says: “he Covid pandemic notwithstanding,” I guess he wants to give the murderer Trump a mulligan. Sure makes the 4-year question easier…. Never hear him say “Trump had low border crossings because of covid…..” Nah, a bridge to far that one is.

The big lie is his foundational statement for his story when he states: “more than the 18 million illegal aliens the Biden administration allowed – and even encouraged – to cross the border.” There is no source and the author uses the term “illegal aliens” which means unauthorized entry which excludes authorized entries like asylum seekers. Already the number looks fabricated.

One way to judge is to look at unauthorized estimates living here which for over a decade have been around 11 million, plus or minus a million depending on year. The government estimate is about that but dated to 2022 so a couple years back. The range is 11m – 17m however the high ends are from anti-immigration think tanks. No one guesses 18 million illegals came in like the author who has no source.
    • 11.2 million in 2021, up from 11 million in 2019, the nonpartisan Migration Policy Institute.
    • 10.5 million in 2021, up from 10.2 million in 2019, the nonpartisan Pew Research Center.
    • 10.9 million in 2022, up from 10.3 million in 2021, the Center for Migration Studies of New York.
    • 12.3 million in May 2023, up from 10.2 million in January 2021, the Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank favoring low immigration levels. Steven Camarota, the center’s research director, recently provided PolitiFact with a preliminary estimate of 14 million people in the country illegally as of March 2024.
    • 16.8 million in 2023, the Federation for American Immigration Reform, a group advocating for reduced immigration.

If one looks at the largest number for border crossings: encounters, Biden has racked up 10.8M during his reign according to CBP: *https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/nationwide-encounters*

I don’t see how the author reaches 18M for unauthorized entries, not asylum seekers, without fabrication.

    • larry Horist

Stranger Danger … Welcome back. FYI .. even asylum seekers crossed the border illegally. Duh! And by official estimates more than 80 percent of those seeking asylum are illegible under American law — therefore illegal. You are simply an open border person who does not believe in the rule of law when it comes to immigration. You seem to have some nutty left-wing attitude that all those folks crossing the border ILLEGALLY is not a problem. And you say Biden ONLY racked up 11 million — as if that is not a huge failure and the reason for the crisis.

      • stranger danger

Not able to substantiate nor source his 18M illegal aliens entering the country claim he doubles-down instead with gibberish about asylum seekers being illegal and those turned down who would be then turned away as illegal.

Yet he still cannot substantiate his factoid nor disprove the facts from the experts noted above.

        His double-down is telling.

        • stranger danger

The author can not source nor substantiate his 18M illegals entering the country bogus lie.

The 10.8 CBP quoted encounters, let’s round up to 11M nowhere near represents 11M PEOPLE entering the USA. CBP estimates that due to Trump’s Title 42 passage, that did not provide penalties for repeat offenders, that 25% of all encounters are repeat offenders so that the total number of people in those encounters would be 8.25M, not 11M. Let’s call it 8M. So, encounter wise, it’s pretty hard to get to 18M when you actually source the data.

A simpleton might add the 8M encounters to the 11M living here to get to 22M, but that math is flawed. Of the encounters, as of January 2024, 4M were adios-ed, making the 11M into 7M which when repeat offenses excluded turns into 5.25M and the 22M into 16.25M. That too would be flawed. You still need to add the 400K per year which is the last yearly CBP estimate for got-aways, let’s call it 2M for four years. Now the 16.25M is 18.25M, the author’s number.

However, when you take out asylum seekers, authorized crossers, the number falls. In 2023, we processed about 1M, double the previous years. Let’s call it 2.5M total which makes the 18.25M down to 15.75M.
No way can the author get to 18M illegal aliens under Joe Biden. It’s a lie. You have to wonder what other lies he is telling as the election approaches.

And fyi, the 11M already here is not a static number. People leave, die, whatever, lowering the number of unauthorized already living here. There’s four years of attrition in that number so don’t expect the experts to add the 11M to the 15.75M to get to 26.75M living here. The 11M is a hard number to budge, usually by a million or so, my guess is Biden may add a couple more million.

          • stranger danger

Apparently, a simpleton mixed two thoughts for one math problem starting in the second paragraph. Here’s a corrected repeat with original errors in ( )’s. Forgot to subtract the number I said I did. So, I repeat myself when under stress, repeat myself when under stress.

A simpleton might add the 8M encounters to the 11M living here to get to (22)19M, but that math is flawed. Of the encounters, as of January 2024, 4M were adios-ed, making the 11M into 7M which when repeat offenses excluded turns into 5.25M and the (22) 19M into 16.25M. That too would be flawed. The author spins and leaves out salient facts when he states: “The record number of fentanyl drug addictions and deaths has been fueled by the large amounts of the drug that flows across the southern border.”

Yes, there were record deaths., it was a pandemic where Trump murdered so many based on his failed response. Made me depressed, I don’t know about you. The US has the highest per capita deaths of any developed nation and ranks in the last 10% of all international responses according to WIKI data.

The spike began under Trump in 2019 and surged in 2020. Under Biden’s first three years, the surge was blunted, peaked, and now is falling at record levels. A total fall 4/23 to 4/24 of 10%. At this rate, we will be below Trumpian levels in two years.

Hard to solely blame Biden or illegal aliens encounters for a trend started on Trump’s watch. The author has spun it so, though.

    • stranger danger

Oh yeah, the data showing the author’s fentanyl spin: *https://www.npr.org/2024/09/18/nx-s1-5107417/overdose-fatal-fentanyl-death-opioid#:~:text=U.S.%20overdose%20deaths%20fell%20for%20the%20first%20time%20since%202020&text=A%20line%20chart%20showing%20U.S.,over%20100%20thousand%20in%202024.&text=Between%20April%202023%20and%20April,overdose%20deaths%20declined%20by%2010%25.*

    • larry Horist

Stranger Danger …Wow . IF all you say is true, Dr. Fauci should be in jail. He was the czar or Covid policy… remember?

You never give up your obsession — or your ability to make a fool of yourself…..LOL

      • stranger danger

The author denies the facts that “The spike began under Trump in 2019 and surged in 2020. Under Biden’s first three years, the surge was blunted, peaked, and now is falling at record levels. A total fall 4/23 to 4/24 of 10%. At this rate, we will be below Trumpian levels in two years” and instead makes up some gibberish that Fauci was the Covid policy czar.

The White House Coronavirus Task Force leader was Mike Pence who is a direct report to Donald J. Trump who took over for Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar who Trump fired after one month of failure. Fauci as well as over a dozen others were members, not czars as the author lied about.

Debra Birx, the United States Global AIDS Coordinator became the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, again reporting to Donald J. Trump.

Debra Birx later said: “I look at it this way: The first time, we have an excuse,” Birx said about the initial surge of deaths. “All of the rest of them, in my mind, could have been mitigated or decreased substantially.” She too, blames Trump for many of the unnecessary covid deaths due to poor response.

If the author would just look at “per capita covid deaths by country” on WIKI or anywhere else, the damning failure of Trump’s response is glaringly evident and impossible to suppress.

Apparently to cover his lie, the author forgets the adage: the buck stops here.

        Well, the bullshit stops here.

  3. Andrew Gutterman

Last, but not least is the fact that all those illegal aliens that came in is why our economy is chugging right along. They made up for our declining birth rate for the last 30 years, adding millions to the labor force. Without them we would now be in a serious depression because we stopped replacing people years ago.

    • larry Horist

Andrew Gutterman … You comment would have a smidgeon of truth if so many of the illegal aliens crossing the border were not winding up on welfare. Yes … we need immigration to keep the American economy but not uncontrolled migration. We need legal immigration with effective vetting. We need workers.

  4. Darren

Your comments are Delusional! And if someone you know gets hurt from an ILLEAGLE,
they I suppose they had it coming! I am so glad you feel you are above the rest of America.

Everyone commenting in favor of this administration forgets how Soros made his money.
And he is doing it again at our expense!

  5. Americafirst

Stranger danger Frank – so good to see you have a great need to monopolize this particular article. You have no idea of the real reasons why the illegals are allowed to come here. Mostly to be set up to vote Democrat and that is the pure truth whether you like it or not. You seem to leave out the most critical information – on purpose so you can look like a well-informed BIG MAN. Not! Not only are those illegals set to vote, they are here for human and child trafficking, too and more. There are a great many articles, if you would only do your real research to find that Kamala is also involved in trafficking and there are recordings of this that will come out in the disclosures. Kamala has been involved since Hillary was First Lady. Hillary got her in this crime. It is at this time, all over the internet about that. Our economy is NOT chugging in the right direction, as you left out. It is chugging, chugging badly and you are proud of that, as I detected in your short-sighted ramblings. Gitmo Marines are getting it all. Your friends, the traffickers and baby rapers/murderers are being arrested by the thousands. That cannot be denied. The first vaccines when Trump was President were not injected with the metals, mercury, mrNa stuff until fake Biden became a fake pResident. This is recorded and on the Marines books. I refuse to give you links or proof because you won’t take the time to click on them – on purpose. You will only tell me off and what right do you have to do that? I only will tell you Gazeteller, Sunny’s Journal and Restored Republic. There you will find real truth, not the idiot stupid stuff you spill over on this site. You hate Trump so much you will go to any lengths to hurt him and some of us. You only hurt yourself. Why are you so damned hateful? What the Hell happened to you in your life to make you that way? Or are you definitely part of the Deep State, which is what I really suspect. You are trying to trap some of the people that post here. It just might bite you in the a&&! Please leave this site for good!

Interesting as the article is in telling a story Trump has been creating with his usual fictional flare. He holds forth at rallies and wherever a camera and mic go live. Like Trump’s hyperbolic assertions that our country is in danger and only if he is elected will all be set right, Horist picks up the rhetoric hoping he can clean up the narrative.
Trump’s over blown claims on issues that fan the flames of fear is based on his confidence in the people’s being ignorant and uninformed on constitutional facts, on laws regulating elections and the Electoral College, reality going on on our boarder with Mexico, and much more.
Instead of actually educating his listeners with correct factual information, Trump goes for the applause with his false tales attempting a mocking tirade against Harris and Walz. He does not speak well of his abilities to effectively accomplish the complicated task the American President faces.
Horist says positive outcomes came about as the result of Trump’s four years in the OVAL. I lived through what Trump misrepresented as America Great Again. For all Trump’s promotions and promises made he accomplished not one that had merit and continues as an improvement making America Great.
His management of the COVID pandemic in this country devastated a majority of people from all political philosophies. The best efforts of any President would not correct the wrongs Trump’s Administration forced on and hampered recovery through the years afterwards and to the present, 4 years later.
Consider the possibilities we could now enjoy had Trump acted promptly and positively infusing benefits that give aid to all in need, individuals and small businesses. Ask anyone to recall businesses that are no longer open for business. Places which were frequented by many customers surprising did not survive losses of revenue during the shutdown. Those businesses are missed and the building is empty and deteriorating.
Conservative’s policies do not fill the gap when a strong central government does provide aid. Which party withholds its votes when aid bills are on the floor of Congress. Then these nay sayers take credit for improvements made in their own district.

  1. Remember the title: “More woman victimization from the left.” The author, without a shred of evidence, presumes that there are…
