Trump Follows Through on Iran … About Time

Trump Follows Through on Iran … About Time

Finally … Iran is being held accountable!!! AND … the man responsible for decades of brutal world terrorism and deadly domestic oppression is dead – along with a number of Iran’s top military and political leadership. Hip. Hip. Hooray!

The attacks come as a surprise only to those who did not take President Trump seriously. His warnings were clear and repetitious. The military build up in the region was more than a hint of things to come. The State Department advisory for Americans to depart the region – including Israel — was a clear indication that an attack was imminent.

So, why the attack … and why now?

The most important reason is that Iran has been the number one exporter of international terrorism. The regime in Tehran has been murdering soldiers’ civilians by the millions since the 1979 revolution — including thousands of Americans and Iranian citizens. Arguably, the Ayatollah Khamenei was the most brutal world leader since Adolph Hitler. His demise has been long overdue.

The folks in Tehran have been trying to kill Americans longer than most Americans have been alive. The regime’s mantra has been “Death to America,” chanted since 1979 with the same enthusiasm most countries reserve for national anthems. When a government tells you for 45 years that it wants you dead — and then backs it up with bombs, hijackings, hostage‑taking, and proxy armies — you should probably take them at their word.

For almost half a century, Washington talked the talk but never walked the walk. Instead, administration after administration treated Iran like a moody teenager who just needed a little understanding. “It’s complicated,” the diplomats said — even as Iran funded Hezbollah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and whichever group was available for the rent‑a‑terrorist program that week.

It has been the longstanding policy of the United States and most of the world nations that Iran would never have nuclear weapons — even as the country pursued them vigorously. President Obama’s agreement with Tehran did not end that ambition. More diplomatic appeasement.

Clinton tried “engagement.” Bush tried sanctions. Obama tried the JCPOA, which supporters describe as “a nuclear deal that let Iran keep the nuclear program.” And feckless Biden tried to resurrect the Obama deal … and failed. None took action in the face of Tehran’s recalcitrance and aggression. It was a policy of willful blindness, and Trump saw through the diplomatic poppycock. When diplomacy failed and pressure failed, Trump followed through with action.

Iran’s foreign policy was less about negotiation and more about a global terrorism subscription service. Hezbollah in Lebanon? Iran’s creation. Hamas? Funded and armed by Iran. Shiite militias in Iraq? Iran’s proxies throughout the region. Bombings of Jewish centers in Argentina? The list goes on, and on, and on. The record of Iran’s attacks on the United States is long and compelling.

  • 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut
  • 1996 Khobar Towers bombing
  • The supplying of EFPs (explosively formed penetrators) to Iraqi militias, killing hundreds of U.S. troops
  • Kidnapping and killing of American diplomats and civilians
  • The attacks on U.S. embassies, military bases, and ships
  • The drone and rocket attacks on U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria
  • The attempted assassination of American officials on U.S. soil
  • And the list goes on.

Iran has been at war with the United States for decades — the U.S. just refused to admit it until now. Iran never hid its desire to kill Americans and obliterate Israel. They bragged about it. They held parades celebrating it. They printed it on banners. They chanted it in parliament. And yet, somehow, Washington kept pretending that the regime was just a nuisance nation.

Did the United States and Israel have sufficient justification for the attack? More than enough – and the response was long overdue.

Trump had more than enough reasons for the attack and the beheading of the Iranian regime. He went to great lengths to convince regime in Tehran to change their ways. Among his efforts were:

  • The maximum pressure campaign, which cut off billions in revenue that Iran used to fund its proxies.
  • The Abraham Accords, which reshaped the Middle East by bringing Israel and Arab states together and isolating Iran — something the regime tried to prevent.
  • The killing of Qassem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force, whom supporters describe as “the world’s most dangerous terrorist not living in a cave.”
  • Bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities – and warning not to attempt to rebuild them.

Trump’s approach works because it was based on reality, not wishful thinking or irrational fears. The region will become more stable because the U.S. finally stopped rewarding bad behavior. Trump is treating Iran like a cancer that cannot be healed and must be removed.

Shameful Democrat Criticism

As expected, the Trump-hating radical Democrats took to their lackey media to criticize Trump’s action. They said it was “illegal”. It was “reckless”. It would destabilize the region. (Yeah. They actually said that.) They defended Iran and messaged on behalf of Tehran. Their rhetoric was so extreme and shocking that they essentially reprised the role of Tokyo Rose of World War II fame – spewing out Tehran’s propaganda responses.

Former CIA Director John Brennan said that the attack was “wrong and unnecessary” … that the United States was negotiating in bad faith … and that Iran had been “duped”. Arizona Senator Rubén Gallego said the attack was illegal and unconstitutional.

In one of the most ridiculous responses, Virginia Senator Tim Kaine accused Trump of being “too mentally incapacitated to realize that we had a diplomatic agreement with Iran that was keeping its nuclear program in check.” This from a guy who shielded President Biden’s real mental decline from the public.

The lineup on MS NOW was unrelenting in their attacks on Trump (as usual)– without any consideration of the murderous record of the Khamenei regime. Without a scintilla of knowledge, they alleged that the Trump administration had no plan for the attack or the aftermath. Utter nonsense. They said it would cost American lives – as if their pansy approach to Iran for the past half century had not already cost thousands of American lives. The point of the attack is to stop the killing.

For decades, Democrats have fearmongered with words like “escalation,” “provocation,” “destabilization” and “World War III” whenever the U.S. takes action against hostile regimes. Anything to maintain the tragic status quo. It is a pattern in which Iran hits the U.S., the U.S. responds, and Democrats blame the U.S. for “escalating.”

These folks hate the President so much that they will throw America under the bus – as well as the world’s civilized nations – rather the concede that Trump may be doing something praiseworthy. Democrats have upended the old bipartisan tradition — that politics stops at the water’s edge. Instead, the radical left provides a united front in defense of a hostile and brutal foreign power.

Trump got this one right. We should share the hope and optimism that the people of Iran are displaying in the streets after word of the Supreme Leader’s death (photo above). Bringing down the regime in Tehran is an example of one of the more effective foreign policies of any presidential administration. It is part of a complex series of initiatives that is leading to a more stable and harmonious Middle East. Maybe even the world.

So, there ‘tis.

Larry, what were you smoking before you wrote this trash? No, I don’t think the Iranian leadership is (or were) good guys, but as I pointed out after the Venezuela attack-we need to move away from being the worlds policeman. The only reason that there were issues with potential nukes in iran is due to the fact that the bastard currently in the Oval Office pulled us out of the nuclear deal that Obama’s administration negotiated (simply because Obama’s administration had negotiated it I might add), so the Iranians decided if the US isn’t going to keep their word on this deal, neither will we, and stopped allowing inspectors to their sites. Then after the fool ordered bombings in June of ‘25, he congratulated himself saying “nuclear program decimated” (which none of us sane thinkers believed). Now he has started a full scale war to “end the nuclear threat and promote regime change”. Regime change would be nice, but not at the expense of any US lives (or I might add at the expense of civilian Iranians-apparently the fool who claims to be secretary of war bombed a girls school and killed many students). So what I suggest to you, if you are so proud of this activity, why don’t you send your bulllshit post to the parents, spouses and children of every one of the brave soldiers that is killed in this totally unnecessary debacle?

No, we need to exterminate dictators and their willing followers whenever said dictators get sufficiently inconvenient (assuming it’s possible, i.e. they don’t already have nukes).

Anyone hostile to western capitalists must be held at risk of death, period. Not about police, about we won’t put up with them being a problem to US (nice if they’re not a problem to our allies either, but that’s secondary).

On this occasion we have some competent help, so there’s no reason to complain we’re doing it all.

Mr. Hamilton: Exactly where does it state that in our Constitution or any of the Founder’s documents?

How exactly does policing the world and exterminating dictators and event their followers fit in with the America First NO New Wars policy?

Where do Putin, un-Young, Al Saud, Jinping and Erdoğan fit into your plan and how many of them are Trump’s best friends? Perhaps you need to think this though before you declare a World War on over 55 different nations across five of seven Continents.

Trump got into office on America First, no unending wars, no new wars and bring down prices and inflation. Not sure he will meet promises made.

A lot of the Democrats don’t just hate Trump, they like our enemies better than any President (even a Democrat) that might act against them. They think their socialist paradise will magically appear when western civilization collapses. Never mind that many socialist countries are not just high taxes and the delusion of magic free stuff, they’re authoritarians that will kill you if you don’t kiss their backside. Which is probably what some of the Democrats want to be; except they forget that those types come in different flavors hostile to one another, and they’re unlikely to end up being the flavor on top.

Both of you guys are too ignorant for words. Trump cozies up to most dictators-his buddy Vlad, Kim, MBS (of Saudi Arabia), Orban-the list goes on. As I pointed out, I am no fan of the current leadership of Iran, but I don’t think the lives lost (and money spent) is worth it when it comes to regime change. Perhaps you don’t recall the disasters that unfolded in the Middle East the last time a Republican President led us into war wanting ‘regime change’ over there-and his administration was not composed of incompetent sycophants…

I think most in the world, including regional Muslims, feel taking out Iran’s leadership is a good thing. Unlike Larry (Mr. “Hip. Hip. Hooray!”), I don’t cheer anyone’s premature death, especially by assassination, my faith precludes that, but I do acknowledge the world is a better place without these guys. Unlike Larry, I prefer the rule of law, practiced by our separate but equal branches of government, under the words of our Constitution, over the capricious actions of choice by one cowboy looking to divert attention from his domestic woes. There was no immediate threat from Iran; this is a war of choice, a war of opportunity, a war that Israel helped goad us into.

My proof of diversion is the simple question of what happened to America First, no new wars, bring prices down on day one. More important, and an aspect Larry leaves out, is: show me the money. How much money to fight three or four wars simultaneously: VZ, Trump’s war on drugs in the Caribbean and now Pacific, funding/supplying Ukraine, GAZA (our missiles still fly from Israel), and now Iran. And Lebanon. He has launched eight or nine attacks in the last year. Each tomahawk missile costs 2-2.5M dollars. We have fired over $2.5B in initial expenditure and targeting over 500 sites. That’s a minimum of $2.5B in tomahawk dollars, probably 4 times that amount for multiple strikes. He’s going for 1,000 sites: it;s a big place. Meanwhile, his domestic war on immigrants racks up $85B for 2026 ICE alone and a total multi-year funding for all ICE activities at $170B. We currently house, heat, and feed 70,000 undocumented, most of whom have no criminality over a $250 misdemeanor fine for jumping the border. We have killed American citizens on Trump’s watch. Shot them in the face. Shot them in the back. And shot one lady, five times, then ripped her out of ER for detention. An innocent citizen driving by. They grabbed a blind old guy, roughed him up, dropped him off totally disoriented in the cold. He died. Most of the detainees used to work, fueled our GDP growth, paid taxes, now they are a taxpayer expense no longer adding GDP, but living in cages on our dime.

It’s a lot of money for a guy who already beat Biden’s numbers with his 2025 deficit while losing to Biden on GDP growth. Even went negative for one quarter.

So, I ask, is Iran where you want to spend your last dollar? Iran instead of America First. Or do you think Iran represents America first, but Ukraine does not? Iran represents America First, but we need to cut services to Americans, mostly in Red States. Iran who could not strike us until 2035, according to experts. Ukraine that appears to be a world-class democracy apparently needs less financial support than Iran’s protestors? Hell, I am pretty sure he favors Iran’s protestors over his own protestors in his own backyard. America First? I think we are right to be confused as to why we are doing this now, and what is our goal.

The mission was flawless. Apparently, it was planned for dark but moved to a more dangerous day-time mission when they found an opportunity to get the leadership. Not sure whether CIA or Mossad or both, but spectacular intelligence for the assassination. I am guessing the plan, worked on for years, basically took out the military assets, maybe some infrastructure with over 500 sites nailed. Again, each tomahawk costs $2-2.5M in taxpayer dollars. Now up to six dead, it’s as close to flawless and seemingly very successful. What’s next is the million dollar question and I can promise you: Larry does not have a clue. No one does.

While I do question our methods, our goals, and, of course, given the total lack of goals or a plan, what happens next. We have lost six sons and in no way should this sacrifice be in vain. I do question the unconstitutional method of declaring war but admit we’ve been allowing Presidents to do this since the 9/11 acts were passed. I also question our trend toward assassination over diplomacy or worse yet, diplomacy at the front door and an assassination behind the diplomat’s backs. Larry sees clarity, sees an “I told you so” moment. I see back-shooting, a surprise attack, which I don’t think that’s who we are or how we start wars. This is not “walk softly but carry a big stick” but a “let’s talk” followed by a sharp stick in the eye.

How we did we get here. We had a nuclear deal under Obama. Not perfect, but working and workable. Trump tore it up with no replacement and Iranian reformers said: “told you Americans can’t be trusted.” Then Trump assassinated their general. Death from above. Iranian hard-liners amplified their “death to America.” Trump entered peace talks, they broke down, and we “obliterated” Iran’s nuclear ambitions a day or two later. Obviously, this plan was not only in place for years but fully primed and prepped for now. Again, Trump entered peace talks, they stalled, and he bombed the hell out of the place and assassinated much of the leadership. I doubt anyone will enter Trump talks again unless sitting with their backs to the wall in the meeting and telling everyone to head to the bunkers at home. Don’t you feel a little bit like a back-shooter?

He says its regime change time, but we won’t support with boots on the ground. Trump tells the protestors that we have their backs, rise up, rise up. Then, the next day he says he’s meeting with the dead leadership’s choices for new, but the same or worse, leadership to have more talks. Just like VZ, the new leadership is the old leadership, nothing has changed and we want to talk again. Think they will trust us? Meanwhile, I think we set the record for turning our backs on having their backs faster than Trump can tell the Kurds: KMAYOYO. If it’s a matter of character, of living up to your word, not sure I like our expression of that right now.

I hope for the best and having an ever-changing objectives sort of assures we will meet them. Larry already professes to know that, and the outcome. It sure looks like a clusterfuck to me. It sure looks like only Bibi got his way as he seems to lead Trump around by the nose. It sure looks like America First was a dream, not a reality in Trump’s second coming. And it sure looks like we are losing our sons for a very expensive taxpayer supported diversion from Epstein and Trump’s other domestic woes which will not be successful. He may even think it will help the midterms. I hope I am wrong and the Iranian people do change their government for the better. I am pretty sure we don’t even know who they might be. I think “no new wars” was a lie, I think America First is a lie. Eight or nine different attacks, and now war, is not America First. I think we are running a deficit that could destabilize our economy further when it’s on shaky ground to begin with. That’s not bringing down prices on day one. Not that it’s any worse than Biden’s economy with mixed results depending on economic standing, but it’s clearly not better either. It’s not any worse than Biden entering the Ukraine war, but clearly not better either. And Trump’s 2026 deficit is heading towards GOAT —- that will be his second time. Our military did great, I pray for their safety. I am not sure our economy can bear this expense along with our domestic war on immigrants, our war on seafaring drugs, VZ regime change, and more that we are currently funding.
