Senior Democrat Leader from IL Gets Prison for Corruption

Over the weekend, one of the most prominent Democrat lawmakers from Illinois was sentenced to prison for corruption. Michael J. Madigan, who remained the speaker of the IL State House for over 35 years, was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison along with a $2.5 million fine for engaging in bribery and influence peddling for nearly a decade.

A lifelong Democrat whose political career spans nearly fifty years, Madigan was the Speaker of IL State House from 1983 to 2021, with the exception of 1995 to 1997. He also remained the chairman of the Democratic Party in IL from 1998 to 2021. His career and reputation ended in infamy, however, as he was indicted in 2022 over federal racketeering charges. As reported in Breitbart (February 12, 2025), Madigan was indicted for participating in “a string of bribery and influence peddling schemes.”

In February this year, Madigan was found guilty of ten counts out of the 23 federal corruption charges filed against him. The Chicago Sun Times reported (February 13) that Madigan’s bribery conviction involved ComEd, the largest electric utility in Illinois. The story wrote:

The jury agreed that Madigan conspired to have ComEd officials pay $1.3 million to his allies over eight years so that he would look favorably at ComEd’s legislation in Springfield.

In addition, the jury found Madigan guilty of a plot to install ex-Ward Alderman Danny Solis on a state board; in return, Solis would help secure private business for Madigan’s law firm.

Madigan is now 83, and his fellow Democrat lawmakers, his former colleagues, came up with the perfect response to deflect embarrassment over their senior leader’s conviction for corruption. They repeated the same line, saying that it shows the system works and those abusing their offices are held accountable.

But Madigan is not the only Democrat lawmaker who made news last week for engaging in corruption using his office. Another top Democrat from the State Senate also made a few headlines for breaking the law in making money. President of the State Senate Don Harmon is facing a penalty of about $10 million for illegally accepting some big campaign donations. The Chicago Tribune reported that Harmon took more than $4 million in campaign contributions on top of the amount in donations allowed under campaign finance law that, ironically, Harmon himself championed years ago.

The story added that shortly before the state election officials informed Harmon of the penalty, he tried to pass new legislation that would “wipe away the election board case and the potential penalties,” an attempt failed by bipartisan opposition to his move.

Even when Democrats say the right things, Dempsey has his hate on. What a putz.

Even when MAGA lies, Dempsey just changes what is said to something he believes.

He has written up over a dozen Democrats be bad, be gone to jail stories, always claiming proof positive all Democrats bad.

He has never written up a Republican be bad, be gone to jail story as he believes his shit no stink.

I have collected 100 stories about Pakistani’s be bad, be gone to jail stories.

“Dempsey is still but a boy in boy’s clothing, his fellow MAGA rats, his former colleagues, came up with the perfect response to deflect embarrassment over their poet’s conviction for hating half the citizens of his adopted country. They repeated the same line, saying that it shows the system works, the first is the best, and those abusing their chosen journalistic profession are held accountable: just give him a job at PBP and he can’t hurt any more children.”

Wigger is a slang word for wannabe. But no, I didn’t put on my sheets. That’s former kkk leader Robert Byrde’s thing before he became the darling of the democrats and was even senate majority leader. But look up the talk at his funeral by rapist Bill Clinton. Priceless. And you idiots aren’t convincing anyone but weak minded assholes

Wigger, also wigga, whigger and whigga are derogatory terms indeed meaning a wannabee and derived from the offensive word nigger, which is why you used it. Obviously you can’t demean me as a nigger, so you choose the white alternative.

Big man has nothing but small words. You are not superior, they are not inferior. We are we and we are all together Americans. Act like one instead of choosing value by race like a NAZI.

You are indeed convincing others that you are a racist pig who falsely believes himself super because of his race. You deem mean less than you because of your delusion that I act black. Whatever that means in your deranged mind.

You can’t speak to the issues, all you got is slurs and slams against me as a person. You demean my ideology, you demean my personality, you demean me as a person. Personal attacks are a weak debating trick and it’s all that you have got. You could never stand toe-to-toe with me on the issues. You don’t even dare to try.

So, talk about my race, my fictional daughter, my family, friends, whatever. It’s your weak response that is so fucking funny. Keep going, hit me with some more. Maybe go after my momma, or my wife… Come on, what have you got. You must be able to do better than wigger.

Other people who read this post understand that it’s all bullshit designed to get under your skin. You know what they say about people who can’t take a joke. You’ve been told before When will you ever learn? Two guys who help draft the post are, you guessed it, blacks. Lighten up. I bet you have told the same kind of jokes. Dunger. PS. One of the brothers is a deputy sheriff.

So on a serious topic, you admit you act like a fucking dumbshit racist pig JUST to get under someone’s skin. A person you don’t know. A serious topic. IOW, if you disagree with a person, it’s ok to lie to them cuz you think it’s funny.

And you need two others to help you write that? And you think it matters what race they are? Or that one is actually a racist pig?

And then, since I don’t think calling me a wigger, which is a white nigger to you, is funny that therefore, you want to fuck me?

Like I said, you can’t debate me on the issues so you grovel in the gutter with your racist buddies. And if wigger is the best you got, you’re really not goid at it. I wonder if your friends didn’t write it all.

It’s alarming to see such a prominent figure like Michael Madigan sentenced for corruption after decades in power. The fact that he used his position for personal gain for nearly a decade is deeply troubling. While some lawmakers claim this shows the system works, it’s hard not to question the integrity of the entire political structure. How can we trust that similar cases are being addressed when high-profile convictions like this take so long to come to light? Given the growing economic instability due to the events in the Middle East, many businesses are looking for guaranteed fast and secure payment solutions. Recently, I came across LiberSave (LS) — they promise instant bank transfers with no chargebacks or card verification. It says integration takes 5 minutes and is already being tested in Israel and the UAE. Has anyone actually checked how this works in crisis conditions?
