Bail Denied for Illegal Migrant in Deadly Florida Truck Crash

Over the weekend, a Florida judge denied bond to Harjinder Singh, an illegal migrant trucker from India, accused of causing a deadly crash in Fort Pierce that killed three people.

St. Lucie County Judge Lauren Sweet ruled that Singh is an unauthorized alien and a substantial flight risk. Sweet also found probable cause for all six charges against Singh and classified them as forcible felonies under Florida law.

“There are no conditions of release that will ensure your appearance at trial,” Sweet said. “Therefore, sir, I’m setting your bond on each charge at no bond.”

Singh, who appeared virtually from the St. Lucie County Jail with the help of an interpreter, was arrested on two warrants charging him with three counts of vehicular homicide and three counts of manslaughter for the deadly Aug. 12 crash.

Investigators say Singh attempted an illegal U-turn in his semitruck, causing his truck to jackknife, blocking the northbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike. A minivan then slammed into the trailer, killing all three people inside.

Sweet said that both arrest warrant affidavits were previously reviewed by a judge. Each judge found probable cause at that time for each of the six charges.

“This court finds there is probable cause to believe you committed a forcible felony for all six charges,” Sweet said.

Singh hesitated when asked if he wanted an attorney before Sweet provisionally appointed the public defender’s office to represent him.

Singh was arrested in Stockton, California, last week and extradited to Florida.  Singh, who crossed into the United States illegally in 2018 via the southern border, obtained a commercial driver’s license in California. He attempted to obtain work authorization, but it was rejected by the first Trump administration on Sept. 14, 2020, according to Tricia McLaughlin, Homeland Security assistant secretary for public affairs

People including Americans are not trained properly to drive, making a big deal out of a immigrants mistake…these type of accidents happen everyday. Wasn’t just the uTurn that caused the accident…the car driver was too close to the truck…if the truck slowed to make u turn you zoom by on the left not knowing why the truck was slowing down…NO…I always stay 1000ft from everyone…especially trucks. I don’t drive in clumps of TRUCKs and/or CARS…the risks are way to high, anything happens 90% chance of fatality. I speed thru clumps so as to get away from them.
Always leave yourself a way out…if you don’t…you’re dead!!
Remember the force of a crash is calculated…

force = mass X velocity squared

Pretty much anything over 60 mph will be fatal!

Sparko, this story isn’t about American drivers and the force of a crash. It’s about an illegal person who shouldn’t have been behind the wheel of a truck and the resulting consequences of that. Regardless of how Americans drive, this is another outrageous illegal alien story that has seen the death of 3 Americans. Mr. Singh should be deported immediately with no consideration of innocence and no trial. Why is the USA continuing to allow shitheads from shithole countries, with asshole governments ( whose cultures don’t align with those of the States), to stay, even briefly, in the country. It’s gotten out of hand.
