HORIST: Guess who the Iranian demonstrators hate?
If you were following the news after Qasem Soleimani was dispatched to Hell, you would have been repeatedly told that President Trump’s decision to take out the world’s number one terrorist leader was a big mistake because it unified the people of Iran behind their government and against the United States.
Virtually every news anchor and so-called expert panelist claimed that Trump had reversed the fledgling anti-regime demonstrations. Killing a man so beloved in his homeland coalesced the people of Iran in hateful opposition to America.
Prior to the killing of Soleimani, thousands of Iranians took to the streets to call for the ousting of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, President Hassan Rouhani and the rest of the extremist Islamic regime. Thousands of demonstrators were arrested and more than 100 gunned down by forces controlled by Soleimani.
Though just an opinion – and a biased one, at that – one anti-Trump talking head after another stated with implied factual certainty that Trump had turned the anti-regime forces in Iran against America. They based their bogus theory on the hundreds of thousands of Iranians who came out to mourn Soleimani – ignoring the fact that the regime closed all schools and government offices with orders to attend the funeral.
They enticed the people with free food. That is no small incentive in a nation where government policies have led to worldwide sanctions and runaway inflation. Large swaths of the Iranian people are desperate for food.
The Democrat’s and the media’s theory did not make sense on the surface of it. By what reason would one assume that those who hated the regime – including Soleimani – would suddenly embrace the leaders in Tehran. Of course, Democrats and media were not thinking logically. They were playing out their obsessive desire to twist all events against Trump. This was nothing more than political spin.
If you think not, then consider this.
Tens of thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets AGAIN. Are they chanting “death to America?” Nope. They are chanting “death to the Supreme Leader.” They are calling for the overthrow of the regime in Tehran. They were expressing joy over the killing of Soleimani. And they blamed their government for the downing of the Ukrainian jet – killing 82 Irani citizens.
Facing evidence that their previous narrative was nothing more than political bs, the left tried to salvage their reputations as legitimate political analysts by saying that the demonstrations were a result of the shooting down of the Ukrainian airliner and had nothing to do with their feeling about America. In fact, the New York Times ran a headline that read: “Iran, United by Loss of General, Divided Over Plane Crash.” That is a lie – and the plane did not “crash,” It was shot down.
Nice try, but no cigar. While CNN and MSNBC – and the New York Times and Washington Post reporters they put on their panels – did not report fully on the chants of the Demonstrators, one news outlet did. Among the chants was “hate the regime, not America.” One interviewed demonstrator said, “we love Americans.” It was reminiscent of the Hong Kong demonstrators waving American flags and praising President Trump – something the left-leaning east coast press under-reported, if at all.
In view of the fact that the Iran regime murdered hundreds of demonstrators – and thousands of opponents in the past – the demonstrations reflect both the bravery of the Iranian people and the depth of their desire to have the freedoms oppressed by Tehran.
Comparing the wishful thinking false reports by the media at the time of Soleimani’s public funeral to the appearance of the huge anti-regime demonstrations that followed, it is perfectly fair and accurate to say that the speculative reports and analyses of the east coast media were baseless political propaganda – fake news.
So, there ‘tis.
Iranians are primarily upset because they are poor and stressed and unemployed due to the constant sanctions and pressure the US is putting on them. If we would leave them alone, let them sell their massive supplies of oil, Iran would be just fine. Our attempts to destabilize and control them are working and it is criminal in my opinion. Trump is playing along with the NeoCon crowd and it’s time to stop. We’ve for decades engaged in CIA covert activity and IMF robbery. I’m ashamed of my Nation.
Terry, let me ask you a question. I don’t know where you live so this is not a threat. First I assume you live in a peaceful neighborhood and all the neighbors get along with just the small disagreements once in a while. Imagine if a neighbor moved out and a new one moved in. that new neighbor started playing dirty tricks at first after they made a big splash moving in. The neighbors start missing things, your pets disappear, vandalism starts happening. Neighbors suspect the new neighbor and see them doing some of the acts. Now your neighborhood gets together and says, we will just not be accepting of these people and not include them in “our neighborhood activities”. This goes on and the new neighbor starts blaming you as he aggressor when obviously they started the whole thing. Now the neighbor is building a Monster Truck in his yard and violates the Home Owners Association rules that they agreed to. He blames the neighbors for trying to limit his hobby on his own property. It starts to get ugly and now gets into a shoving match. One day his son comes over and beats the crap out of your child. Your husband gets involved and puts up a huge fence. Now the neighbor responds by running his truck up against it knocking it down. His family wants to things to change and calm down but he, being the narcissistic leader of the family forced compliance. Other neighbors get involved and isolate the trouble makers even more hoping for a change. It doesn’t work even though the family wants it. He punished them for failing to follow his orders.
Who is at fault here, the neighborhood or the individual leader? The Mideast and world is the neighborhood, and the current Iranian leadership is the Bully neighbor who does not abide by rules or agreements. You want to cow to a bunch of people who are radical, do not play by the rules or agreements, lie, and create problems. If you have never served in the military or any organization they you have no business even making such stupid statements. You live in the best nation in the world and now you are “ashamed of it”? If your so ashamed of it why not move to Iran and feel more comfortable? Its ignorance like you just displayed that shows weakness and with weakness comes problems like you cannot imagine. Millions of American that felt much stronger that our nation is worth saving, as it is, have given their lives to assure that you can continue to make silly or ignorant statements as you did. Perhaps its time for you to think things through rather than reward the bullies, terrorists, and killers of the world with what they want and need to spread their twisted beliefs and control further.
If you are ashamed of our naion please LEAVE now. You can take Opra, Bryan Cranston, Cher, and all your fellow leftist loonies with you. They constantly promise to leave but they are all LIARS and FOOLS.
