How did we turn cops into the bad guys?

Six police officers were shot this weekend in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Three of them died. It just won’t stop.

With racial tensions escalating and anti-police protests becoming more common, it only makes sense that Baton Rouge, where  Alton Sterling was shot and killed by police earlier this month, would be the next target.

“With five cops shot in Dallas and now three in Baton Rouge, it is an attempt at anarchy,” says Judge Jeanine Pirro. “My fear is that the attempt to kill cops – and the killing of cops – is now becoming normalized. It’s now becoming legitimized.” Judge Jeanine rightly blames President Obama for much of the violence, criticizing him for siding with anti-police activists and even criminals in what some are calling a war on cops. “The police officers – as everyone has said – are one line of defense between a civilized society and anarchy.”

Meanwhile, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch is making an effort (or at least acting like she’s making an effort) to restore trust in America’s police force. She condemned the Baton Rouge shooting and confirmed the DOJ is “determined to do everything we can to bridge divides, to heal rifts, to restore trust, and to ensure that every American feels respected, supported, and safe.”

The Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, which arose to raise awareness of police violence against blacks, has played a central role in the growing discord between civilians and police. Whether or not the gunmen in Dallas and Baton Rouge were affiliated with the extremist group, BLM has become unarguably linked to the shocking increase in police death.

But Black Lives Matter seems to be targeting a nonexistent problem. While studies show that police are more likely to use force (shoving, etc.) against black suspects, reliable data shows that there is absolutely no racial bias against blacks when it comes to police shootings.

In fact, the Washington Post reports that of those fatally shot by police in 2015, 50% were white and 26% were black. The only difference is that there is no “White Lives Matter” group protesting when a white criminal is shot and killed by police.

Some will be quick to argue that this statistic doesn’t hold up but in a recent speech, journalist and political commentator Heather MacDonald pointed out that black criminals “commit 75% of all shootings, 70% of all robberies, and 66% of all violent crime” in New York City even though they represent less than 30% of the city’s population.

“The black violent crime rate would actually predict that more than 26% of police victims would be black,” she continued. “Officers use of force will occur where the police interact most often with violent criminals, armed suspects, and those resisting arrest, and that is in black neighborhoods.”

On top of that, a black police officer is more likely than a white police officer to fire a gun at a black suspect. And FBI data shows that black suspects/criminals are more likely to kill a cop than be killed by one.

The data doesn’t lie – and yet BLM continues to preach its anti-police message. Their activities are detrimental to the country, and have contributed to a 17% spike in the number of murders in the nation’s 50 biggest cities – all because cops are hesitant to police dangerous neighborhoods in fear of being attacked or labeled racist.

Many are demanding that Black Lives Matter be labeled a “terrorist organization,” others are asking the group to focus on real problems within the black community, and Hillary Clinton and the Dems seem to be using BLM as their shock troops in the upcoming election.

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has capitalized on the need for police reform – which puts her in tandem with a group that is fighting to eliminate racial bias in the criminal justice system. Breitbart’s Lee Stranahan theorizes that Hillary Clinton is using BLM to help her win the election just as Obama used the Occupy Wall Street movement to win in 2012.

Bill Johnson, executive director of the National Association of Police Organizations, had the right of it when he said in a recent interview:

“It’s a war on cops. And the Obama administration is the Neville Chamberlain of this war…I think their continued appeasement at the federal level with the Department of Justice, their appeasement of violent criminals, their refusal to condemn movements like Black Lives Matter actively calling for the death of police officers, that type of thing, all the while blaming police for the problems of this country has directly led to the climate that has made Dallas possible.”

Editor’s note:  When the leader of your country tells you over and over again you are being treated unfairly, facts are irrelevant, you believe what you are told. This is classic propaganda theory, and also straight out of Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals (Hillary’s hero).  To be blunt, in my opinion Obama is purposely trying to split America apart.
