We are already in a mini world war and we are winning … at the moment

While there is no precise definition of a world war, it is generally viewed as a time when there are several countries on two sides over multiple theaters of battle — with other nations in support of one side or another.  World War I and World War II were monumental examples of that type of global conflict.  To a lesser degree, however, the definition fits today’s world.

In terms of active military engagement, we have the Axis of Evil – including Russia, North Korea, Iran, Palestinian territories (Hamas), Lebanon (Hezbollah), and Yemen (Houthis) – all engaged in active combat.

Nations in support of the Axis of Evil short of direct military engagement in the shooting war include such nations as China, Belarus, Georgia, Chechia and other Russian allies.  There is an interconnection between Russia and Iran that make what is happening in Ukraine and the Middle East essentially a united global conflict.

Syria is currently in flux.  It had been clearly aligned with the Axis of Evil – and a state sponsor of terrorism – until the precipitous fall of the Basha al Asaad regime. It remains a nation in which ISIS and al Qaeda have bases.  The apparent new leader comes out of al Qaeda and is a wanted terrorist.  He claims to have given up his terrorist past.  We shall see.

The Democratic Alliance of active combatants includes the United States, Great Britian,  France, Israel, and Ukraine – all engage in combat.  Nations supporting the Democratic Alliance short of military engagement includes most of NATO, Japa and South Korea.

All the battlegrounds have become interconnected, Russia is fighting in Ukraine and had been fighting in the Middle East on behalf of the Iranian regime and Bashar al Asaad in Syria.  While the United States is not officially at war, American military personnel have been fighting and dying throughout the Middle East since the first Iraq war.  That puts America into the action – and it is more likely that American involvement will increase and not decrease in the days ahead.

The good news is that at this moment the Democratic Alliance is winning – with the possible exception of Ukraine.  That is a toss-up at the moment.

The international situation has been tipping in favor of the Democratic Alliance since Israel decided that the tit-for-tat warfare that has been going on for decades had to end.  When Israeli Prime Minister said “enough is enough” after the October 7th attack on the Jewish state, he obviously meant it.

He declared war on Hamas and has now reduced the terrorist group to a shadow of what it was – and is still finishing them off.  Many experts predicted that Israel would not fare well against a more powerful Hezbollah.  Netanyahu took on the Lebanese terrorist group and has decimated that organization and killed its top leaders.  When Iran waded in with direct attacks on Isreal, Netanyahu responded with a reprisal attack that crippled the Irani military machine, including its air force.  Thanks to Israel, the Iran terrorist network is now in shambles.

The inability of Russia and Iran to prop up Bashar al Asaad gave an opening for the Syrian rebels to mount a successful uprising, resulting in the collapse of the regime.

Clearly the good guys are winning in the Middle East theater.  The situation is less clear in Ukraine.  Ukraine is in a good position to win the war without ceding land to Russia – and even force Russian troops out of area they currently occupy.  In such an aftermath, Ukraine should be admitted to NATO immediately.

It is Putin who is on the ropes.  His military has not been able to make significant gains since the start of the invasion.  Russian forces have not stopped the Ukrainian military from invading and holding part of Mother Russia — and taking out military installations in the Putin homeland.  The Russian navy has been forced out of the Black Sea – taking refuge in their Syrian Mediterranean ports.  Now they have had to abandon them.   The more than 300,000 Russian fatalities are undermining public support for the war – as is the cratering of the economy.  The Russian casualties have forced Putin to bargain for North Korean soldiers. Thanks to Israel, Iran is no longer able to support Putin as it has in the past.

The only thing that has prevented a Ukraine victory is a lack of a winning commitment by the United States – and NATO, which has been held back by the Biden administration’s too little/too late policy.

Winning this mini-world war, would enable the world to enter a new age of peace — with the United States, NATO and the world democracies in leadership.  Old adversaries, such as Russia and Iran will have been tamed.  Nations like China and North Korea will be less threatening.  China would stop threatening Taiwan and North Korea would stop firing missiles across Japan. There would be a new and more expensive round of peace agreements between Israel and the Arab world.  Those are the potential fruits of victory.

Though admittedly a rosy picture, it is not an impossible one.  It is time for the United States and the Democratic Alliance to exert its maximum influence and power and put an end to this overly long ongoing mini world war.  Carpe Diem.

So, there ‘tis.

Trump has promised to end the Ukraine war before inauguration day. Less than a month away no doubt.

I have little faith in Trump’s promises or Larry’s rosey predictions. Trump is already walking back the fact that “he can’t promise anything” regarding bringing down inflation – at least this is what he told a news interview a few days ago. I doubt that Larry will write about that interview. So why should we have any faith in Trump to stop the war in Ukraine. European leaders are already pushing back against Trump. And Larry forgot to mention Canada. The evil axis will continue to plot, scheme, and act out when they can. To the bad guys, this is just another bump in the road toward world domination.

We must hold Trump (and any minions that write partisan articles favoring Trump) and the GOP accountable for their foreign and domestic lies and broken promises.

Tom, if Trump ends the Ukraine war over the next month and before Inauguration, isn’t Larry’s World War over and stopped on Biden’s watch? Heh, heh.

Tom, Trump is also walking back “all illegals must go” to “all criminal illegals must go,” which is duplicating Joe Biden’s policy.

As of 2022, there were about 11 million undocumented estimated in America,. IF we believe the right, there are 8 million more under Biden, of which half are undocumented for a total 2024 number of about 15 million Trump says he will deport.

Trump has said, before election, he would deport 21,000,000 immigrants. His words.

Trump only deported 1.5M in his first four years matching Obama’s 3M in four years, so on pace to match leftist communist open border mavens, hahahaha. Biden did about 1.5M in his four years showing Trump to be completely adequate for the task. hohoho. The biggest year ever, under Obama, not Trump, was over 400K.

Now Trump is walking his promise back saying he will prioritize undocumented criminals, as I suggested here some time ago, and I think this number is about 450,000. On his recent rambling interview on TV, Trump NOW says: “First will be convicted criminals, he said. Pressed on whether the targets would go beyond that group, Trump added: “Well, I think you have to do it, and it’s a hard — it’s a very tough thing to do. It’s — but you have to have, you know, you have rules, regulations, laws. They came in illegally.” On the non-criminal tough talk, those are prime examples of weasel words. It was EZ before election, now it’s very tough. I mean ObamaCare was ez to end, hard to find a viable alternative even if you have “some concepts.” Guess he has “some concepts” for the undocumented too.

HEY, TRUMPY, JUST MAKE E-VERIFY THE LAW OF THE LAND AND YOU ARE DONE. NO-WORK, NO-STAY. Idiot.

He promised 21M and now promises only 450K and is telling us the rest is very, very hard to do. Wow, he learned a lot from campaign to election. Like how to promise one thing and deliver something completely different.
Fact is he has a pretty good idea where the criminals are; he does not have a fucking clue for the undocumented without criminal records. And God only knows what he will do for the legal asylum seekers, dreamers, and the like OR how to backfill millions of jobs.

He has also promised to end the Ukraine War BEFORE the inauguration. Too bad he won’t get the North Koreans home before Christmas.

He’s walking back taking inflation down of food prices using his oft repeated: “it’s very hard.”

Mr. No Wars is again saber rattling, this time with Iran saying “it’s possible.”

And now the word is out: Trump will end polio vaccines. Let the chaos continue. Stability is overrated.

Frank Danger …Check you nose in the mirror — if you can get close enough. Trump’s policy on immigrations is to go after the criminals first …. then those who are ordered out of the country by judges … and finally those who have not shown up for the immigration hearings. That is what Trump said and what Homan has said. That is the policy — not your interpretation.

And you claim that it is the same as Biden’s policy?? LMAO Are you totally oblivious to what has been happening over the past four years at the southern border — in our cities … the fentanyl crisis.. Geez! That is a lot to ignore or forget.

You say “Trump will end polio vaccinations.” That is 100 percent a lie. He has repeatedly stated that there will be no ending polio vaccinations. In fact, he has not come out against ANY vaccinations. He has questioned mandates. He mostly says that the vaccination issues needs a lot more review and research.

I think you are now “Frank Danger of losing your mind.”

You misspeak Mr. Horist. It’s Trump’s CURRENT immigration policy is to go after criminals first. Just as I stated some time ago here on PBP. At that time I wrote the obvious: he basically knows where the criminals are and does not know where the undocumented are. No duh. And it’s the same policy as Obama, as Biden.

Now, Trump’s campaign policy was “all immigrants must go.” His words. In May, in Wildwood in my State, Trump said: “On Day 1 of my new administration, I will seal the border, stop the invasion of people pouring through our border and send Joe Biden’s illegal aliens back home where they belong,” Trump said at a recent rally in Wildwood, New Jersey. “They all have got to be sent home.”

Day One. Illegal Aliens. Send back home. All have to be sent home.” Gee, Larry, that sound like more than just criminals starting on Day One as the plan. BUSTED.

But after you voted him in, he did the math no doubt. Guess you could of done it ahead of time, but here you go. Trump says there’s 21 million to go. Most say closer to 15 million. Criminals are about 450,000 so if it takes Trump a year to do that, he’s already missed his promise.

Trump and Biden did 1.5M in four years, Obama 3M in eight years. 21 million in four years is a joke. Top year was Obama at 400,000 in a year. Trump is shooting for 3.7 million per year and his policy is to start with 450,000 criminals. Both Biden and Obama focused on criminals; how is Trump’s current plan that you know so much about any different? His numbers won’t be different either, can’t be, there’s only 450,000 of them and Obama has the record at 400,000K in one year.

Wanna buy a bridge Larry? Wanna place a gentlemen’s bet?

You have a better chance of building the wall.

Again, Trump has his head up his ass. He just needs to push E-Verify as the mandatory law of the law, all work. No SSN, no work, no come, no stay for any undocumented worker. He can just provide free bus rides and if he builds it, there will come to leave.

His numbers are bogus. His plan is the same as Obama’s and Biden’s and except for the cruelty he might add, his results will be the same —- there’s 450,000 of them. And then what? No plan eh.

He walked back his campaign promise. The very concept of deport them all is impossible in four years and he has not a clue how to do it. So he grinfucked you and you say: “please sir, can I can some more.” Only a fool believes this guy.

And yeah, let’s research polio vaccines. That’s a grinfuck for saying we’re moving to kill it, at least the mandates, which, given right-wing voodoo messaging, will kill it. And then they will study whether water is actually wet. Fact is, these boys studying anything is a joke. They studied the Biden crime family for 4 years and still have their dicks in their hands.

I’m sorry to be hard on this, but really Larry, your major was Economics. Can’t you see the numbers and the impossibility of him delivering his promise in four years. Can’t you see that his grand plan to focus on criminals is 450,000/15,000,000 or a 3% solution. He’s focusing on the 7% and you don’t have a fucking clue his plan for the other 97%. Maybe he needs a 7% solution to get his head right.

On the numbers, the top year was 400,000K but I’ll give you a million. He needs 3.75M a year. Again, what might work is E-Verify if they came to him freely after losing work via E-Verify stopping them from working. And actually, we might have the buses to do that. We do about 130M intercity trips a year.

Bottom line: he made a promise without a plan, go figure. Now, he’s walked it back to focus on criminals, the same policy as Obama and Biden. He may be more cruel, he may go for crimes Biden did not, but Obama did 400,000 a year, so the bar is set for Trump who has 450,000 in his criminal focus which is 3% of the problem. And I am betting you don’t have a clue his plan to get the 14.5 undocumented found, much less deported. You got sold a bridge, again. It’s getting clearer all the time.

Larry, this commentary is one opinion given by you from your perspective and it’s the one you are sticking with. Good to know
At least it’s a point in a larger discussion on the State of the World at present and its prospects for survival as an inhabitable planet for humans.
If the present generation is fortunate, they may not live to see the consequences of their inaction relative to the world environment.
