Tim Allen on What it's Like to be a Conservative in Hollywood

You might know him from the 1990’s sitcom Home Improvement, from the current ABC show Last Man Standing, or as the voice of Buzz Lightyear

This week, 63-year-old successful comedic actor Tim Allen spoke with Jimmy Kimmel about what it’s like to be one of the few conservatives in Hollywood. “You gotta be real careful around here,” said Allen. “You get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes.”

“This is like ‘30s Germany. I don’t know what happened,” he said. “I’m a comedian, I like going [off] on both sides.”

Allen, who identifies as a “fiscal conservative,” once compared the Clintons to “herpes.” He endorsed GOP candidate John Kasich in the presidential election, but turned out to attend Trump’s inauguration in January.

“Give that guy [Trump] the roads, bridges, infrastructure, power grid – just have him fix that sh*t for four years. He’s good at that. And he’s a businessman so he understands how debt load works,” said Allen last January.

In November, he slammed Hollywood liberals for bullying Trump supporters: “What I find odd in Hollywood is that they didn’t like Trump because he was a bully. But if you had any kind of inkling that you were for Trump, you got bullied for doing that…it gets a little hypocritical to me.”

When asked about his main concerns for the current state of the country, Allen spoke about the shocking level of government surveillance and online tracking. “They know way too much about us,” he said about Amazon.

“If the government drove down the street in a gray sedan with a camera on it, you’d be rioting, going to Washington,” said Allen. “But if it’s white, with emojis and ‘Google’ on it, ‘Yay! You’re waving at it! They’re taking pictures of your house!”

Hollywood has a long history of shunning conservatives, and I admire Tim Allen for speaking his mind. Here are a few more conservative celebrities who made it big: Adam Sandler, Bruce Willis, Heather Locklear, Drew Carey, Stephen Baldwin, Mel Gibson, and Pat Sajak.

Editor’s note: With all of the political messaging and political correctness coming from the people and the work of Hollywood, its good to know at least a few big stars have some common sense. I just wish they would speak up more, like Tim Allen. If you know the series The Last Man Standing, you know it frequently has a conservative message.

The actors and actresses that go off the deep end like Merle Street turn peoples stomachs and they they refuse to watch their performances. Its business, not politics, that should be going on in Hollywood. Any actor or actress that presumes to think that America gives a crap about their extreme rants has less brain power than an ant and only does it to prop up a sagging career. To them I say, retire with dignity if you have any left and keep your views to yourself.

I really enjoy watching Tim Allen on his show “Last Man Standing.” It’s great to finally hear a conservative voice among the many Hollywood libtards out there.
Personally, I would not include Mel Gibson as a conservative. While drunk, he truly revealed how he felt about Blacks and Jews. A true conservative is tolerant of the ideologies of others, and does NOT spew hate-filled speech. He’s more of an extremist, and a bigoted racist at that.

I love Tim in Tool Time. I love him in Last Man Standing, it’s good to know that I am not the only conservative in CA. It’s so alarming to hear when Trump supporters get beat up at restaurants, on the streets or rallies. When did it become a crime to not agree with others. The liberals need to pay heed to their own speeches about compassion, free speech, not hating (it’s a Pelosi thing, not hating) and fairness. They break all rules when they don’t like what’s happening, throw out all our Constitutional rights to achieve their agenda. They are just two faced enemies of the State. Vote Republican 2020. We need sanity, fairness, work ethics back in Washington. The American people must come first again.
