Report: FBI Investigating Clinton For Public Corruption
Fox News recently reported that the FBI investigation into the Hillary Clinton email scandal has now expanded to take a look at whether there is a violation of public corruption laws as well.
The violation in quest comes from a possible “intersection” of Clinton Foundation work and State Department official business, according to various officials who spoke to Fox News under the condition of anonymity.
This new focus is in addition to the on-going investigation into the classified emails sent through Clinton’s personal server. Despite one anonymous official stating that the violation may have come from “the dispensation of State Department contracts and whether regular processes were followed,” Clinton continues to deny the allegations, telling a reporter from the Des Moines Register she has heard nothing of the investigation.
This news follows various reports over the last year which have questioned whether Clinton Foundation donors received benefits from the State Department because of their contributions. One source told Fox News the investigation has gone on since April 2015 with a growing pile of evidence saying, “many previous public corruption cases have been made and successfully prosecuted with much less evidence than what is emerging in this investigation.”
A source also confirmed to Fox News that around 100 agents have been assigned to the case and given non-disclosure agreements to keep everything private while Clinton continues her campaign for presidency.
