Netanyahu Shuts Down CNN Anchor Who Try to Pin Blame for October 7 on Him!

A no-nonsense Benjamin Netanyahu shut down CNN anchor Dana Bash for trying to bait him into taking “personal responsibility” for Hamas’ deadly and barbaric attack on October 7.

On CNN’s “State of the Union,” Bash claimed “multiple people inside Israel” reached out to her knowing she was preparing to interview Netanyahu, wanting to know why he is not taking “personal responsibility for failing to prevent the October 7 attacks and protecting your people.” Bash did not name any of those people, but she still aired their alleged grievances.

“Why won’t you take responsibility now?” she asked Netanyahu.

But Netanyahu promptly shut down the question. He told Bash he will address that question after the war, and when she pressed harder, the Israeli PM cited America’s own history.

“Did people ask Franklin Roosevelt after Pearl Harbor that question? Did people ask George Bush after the surprise attack of [September] 11?” Netanyahu responded.

“I have said we’re going to answer all these questions, including me. I’m going to be asked tough questions,” he continued.

“Right now, I think what we have to do is unite the country for one purpose, one purpose alone, and that is to achieve victory,” he explained. “That’s what I did. We formed a unity government, where the country is united as never before. And I think that’s what we have to pursue. And what the people expect me to do right now is two things: One, achieve this victory and bring the hostages back, and, second, assure that Gaza never becomes a threat to Israel again.”

Without a doubt, Netanyahu and Israel are not responsible for what Hamas did.

Moreover, it’s important to remember that Netanyahu has been PM for less than a year, while Hamas said it planned the attack for more than two years. This fact alone hinders any narrative that the left-wing media seeks to formulate that blames Netanyahu.

Still, regarding matters of national security, the buck stops at the top. In the CNN interview, Netanyahu acknowledged that asking difficult questions is important, but there is a time and a place for such inquiries — and, for Israel, that time and place is not the middle of a war.

It’s so clear that the left doesn’t like jews. Antisemitism is raging across America and people from the White House on down don’t care

I’m on the Center/Left, and I’m half Jewish. Does that mean I dislike myself?

I do think Israel should be held accountable for what they are doing to Gaza. Far too many civilians are dying. I support Israel 100% in doing what they are doing, just not the way they are doing it.

      • KIRK AUGUSTIN

All Israel had to do in order to have peace 80 years ago was to allow the right of return to the Arabs who owned land in the Israeli side of the UN partition, not illegally invade Jerusalem and the West Bank, and not illegally confiscate properties there owned by Arab natives.
It is Israel that is totally at fault for its constant criminal actions.

        • Tom

Actually, from early 1922 to 1940, Israelis purchased homes there that were sold to them by Arabs that did not even live there in the land. Then Israelis got their homes confiscated during WWII by Nazi’s even though Palestinians were generally not on either side. Then the homes that were confiscated by Israel post 1948 were the ones where the current occupants could not prove through certificate that they owned those homes prior to the confiscation by the Nazi regime. The reason they could not prove they owned the homes is because they were involved in the confiscation. Any Arab who had a certificate of ownership kept their homes according to the official history. “Israel” and “Palestine.” One land, two names. Both Jews and Arabs have claimed it as theirs alone. From a purely historical perspective, “Israel” predates “Palestine” by more than a millennium. The name Palestine appears when the Romans took over. Here is a pretty good summary for you at : *https://www.britannica.com/place/Palestine/The-Arab-Revolt* . Enjoy updating your knowledge. It has been given freely to you so share it freely! :>)

Andy, I think more self-guilt than self-hatred. After all, what am I, some vermin? (need a slight lilt in the voice at the end for that “jewish” effect.

PS: that’s what Bash said too!

        +1

        • Tom

You are not vermin Frank. You were sent by the Living True God of Israel to keep the hard Right and Horists of the world on their toes! Its a tough walk you have Frank but I know you can do it. :>)

      • Jim lucas

        Fuck Gaza

    • KIRK AUGUSTIN

Nothing to do with religion. Israel simply is a minority of well armed invaders who are stealing land they never paid for or legally own. The only legal owners of all of Palestine, from the river to the sea, are the Palestinian Arab natives. They were given sovereignty in 1920 with the Treaty of San Remo, and the UN partition of 1948 was totally illegal.
      The evidence is irrefutable.
The Israelis elected Menachim Begin as Prime Minister, even though he blew up the King David Hotel, gunned down Folke Bernadotte the UN moderator, and wiped out hundreds of Arab villages like Deir Yassin.
That is all proof of criminal intent.

      • Tom

Actually again, not quite correct. During the Conference of San Remo, two “A” mandates were created out of the old Ottoman province of Syria: the northern half (Syria and Lebanon) was mandated to France, the southern half (Palestine) to Great Britain. The province of Mesopotamia (Iraq) was also mandated to Great Britain. Under the terms of an “A” mandate the individual countries were deemed independent but subject to a mandatory power until they reached political maturity.

You will see in the history link I gave you that the British pretty much ignored the area (Palestine) even though they were in charge. The British allowed many Israelis to buy land in Palestine that was owned by Arabs that did not live in Palestine. So the Arabs that sold that land are partly at fault if you are looking to cast blame. If you read that historical link I gave you, then you will find in 1920 there were about 16,000 Jews in Palestine. By 1950 that number swelled to over 400,000 or so. And it was legal land purchases in the area.

Tom, frankly, like popeye says “i yam what i yam,” and today Israel has what is has and offers apartheid to it’s Palestinian cheap labor force. They have not figured out how to with them or without them. Inside Palestine, and funded from the outside, are those who want the Israeli’s pushed into the sea for whatever reason guides them, who cares, what matters is who funds them….

Follow the money and the truth will set you free. Either Israel ends apartheid, allows folks equal rights, or sooner or later, they will set themselves free, or try to. No need to think about until after Hamas is over.
Either Muslims quit funding this hatred, or the world will continue to diminish and decimate the terrorists every time they go off the reservation again. We did Al Quada, ISIS (need to do again), Taliban (may need to redo if they don’t calm down), and soon Hamas. I am sure there are a few more. Perhaps this time we will follow the money and seek some justice from Iran as well. Sure looks like they deserve it. But perhaps that should wait until post Ukraine.

Point is that I care about today more than 3,000 years of history, and both Israel and the Muslims have some work to do to make their and our world a safer, better, happier place.

  2. frank stetson

    You all are idiots.

Bash is Jewish, her grandmother escaped Hungary in 1941, her parents were murdered at Auswitch along with her grandmother’ sister.

I am pretty sure she knows many people in Israel, the thoughts she conveyed in the question are well known in Israel.

    You both are idiots.

The question is fair. The PM can duck, promise to answer in the future, but you know he knows that answer. Given the magnitude of the failure, he had to have run the audit before he would go to war. He’s not going to overlook that big a mistake. So he can choose to duck, but the question will be answered at some point, whether by him or by others.

    FYI : Mr. Lucas.

Why is it clear that the left hates jews IYO? I mean she’s certainly left, but do you really think she hates her own religion and people? Are not white supremacists antisemitic and Trump supporters, as Trump supports them?

You can disagree with Israel and not be antisemitic.
You can disagree with a Jew and not be antisemitic.
You can align with Palestine’s plight and hate Hamas at the same time and not be antisemitic.

    • KIRK AUGUSTIN

I agree. Even more telling as far as cultural appropriation and deflection is the fact the word Semitic means “of Arab origins”. It does not even mean Jewish. The whole discussion is being manipulated incorrectly. Modern Jews do not even have any Mideast cultural identity at all. And historically they were nomadic, building nothing and living nowhere for any length of time.

      • Tom

Actually again, half right. a member of any of the peoples mentioned in Genesis 10:21–31 as descended from Shem, one of the sons of Noah, traditionally interpreted as including the Hebrews, Aramaeans, Assyrians, and Arabs. Subsequently also: a member of any of the peoples who speak or spoke a Semitic language.

    • Tom

I agree Frank, you nailed it dude! I do not agree with everything Israel does in Gaza. It is a heavy handed approach that has happened because of the violence. But I am not a anti-Jewish. I also do not agree with much of what the Palestinians do, but I am not anti-Palestinian. I am anti-Hamas because of the instability they cause and they wish genocide on the Jews even if the Jews were to give them all of Gaza and leave they would still want genocide for the Jews.

I sometimes disagree with Frank Stetson but I am not an anti-Frankfurter.

      • Frank stetson

        Did you say frankenfurter?

Good, let’s do the time warp again!

Oh wait, rocky horror, trans grooming movie, millions turned in the 70’s….you know brad went gay….. oh no, it’s happening again……

      • Mike f

Tom-Please educate Larry about the difference between being anti-Semitic and anti-Israel? I have tried and tried but the old fool just doesn’t get it (you don’t find very many anti-semites in the US that are liberal Democrats , but he doesn’t get that either-but there are plenty of us who are not pleased with their government…)

Why did the Obama and Biden administrations give financial support to Iran who is financing Hamas? Both the Globalists and Muslim extremists have something in common: they both want their ideologies to rule over the people of planet Earth. Meanwhile the people want none of either. Biden supports the goals of the globalists as he pushes forward with a Digital Currency (The Mark of the Beast) and the WHO Pandemic Treaty: both of which would destroy our freedoms and inalienable rights. Meanwhile why has Biden allowed over 50 Billion to go to Iran, which was obviously central to the Israeli massacre of October 7th. Why does Biden support the indoctrination of our children which most probably explains the large support for Hamas? Is Biden trying to destroy the United States? Those are the topics explored in my latest essay.

The funding of Mass Migration and Religious extremism is but part of the Globalist Agenda

    • frank stetson

bruce: “Why did the Obama and Biden administrations give financial support to Iran who is financing Hamas?” Neither did.

who doesn’t want their ideology to rule the earth? and what is a globalist? where are they? is there a team G?

“Biden supports the goals of the globalists as he pushes forward with a Digital Currency (The Mark of the Beast)” no he doesn’t and no it isn’t.

“the WHO Pandemic Treaty: both of which would destroy our freedoms and inalienable rights.” how?

“Meanwhile why has Biden allowed over 50 Billion to go to Iran, which was obviously central to the Israeli massacre of October 7th.” The money would not have been in time, but it was frozen anyway. You lie.

“Why does Biden support the indoctrination of our children which most probably explains the large support for Hamas?” For a doddering old man, you really give him credit for speed and success of implementation. Imagine, he takes over after 4 years of Trump indoctrination and in less than 3 years, he orchestrates a turn from Trump indoctrination to Hamas support. Man, they guy’s a go getter for sure.

Quit making shit up. Just because paper does not refuse ink and screens don’t refuse pixels, that shit don’t fly round here no more. Facts are our friends. Tin foil hat conspiracy seems to be yours.

      BUSTED

    • KIRK AUGUSTIN

Obama and Biden never “gave financial support to Iran”. I am critical of Obama and Biden, but the US illegally froze money that was owned by Iran, and all Obama and Biden did was to try to return it.

It is also clearly false to claim Islam is aggressive. It never has been. The Crusades attacked them, they did not attack Europe.
All groups like the Islamic Brotherhood want is to end European colonialism. That is not too much to ask. Like right now the US is controlling Egypt with General Sisi, who clearly is a bribed US puppet.

And again I should remind everyone that the word Semitic means “of Arab origins”. It does not at all mean Jewish. Using it to mean Jewish is cultural appropriation of the worst kind.

      • Tom

Gosh, not close on this one. Read what our government Foreign Affairs Committee says: *https://foreignaffairs.house.gov/blog/5-times-obama-admin-insisted-cash-way-pay-iran/*

According to the US Foreign Affairs Committee, “As details of the administration’s $1.7 billion cash payment to Iran (to release hostages) began to leak last month, the administration argued – from President Obama on down – that there was simply no other way to pay Iran. “We couldn’t send them a check and we could not wire the money,” the president (Obama) said on August 4.

That was flat-out false: “A Treasury Department spokesman acknowledged on Saturday that on at least two occasions, the U.S. did make payments to the Iranian government via wire transfer,” Politico reports. “In July 2015, the same month in which the U.S., Iran and other countries announced a landmark nuclear agreement, the U.S. government paid the Islamic [R]epublic approximately $848,000. That payment settled a claim over architectural drawings and fossils that are now housed in the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art and Iran’s Ministry of Environment, respectively. Then, in April 2016, the U.S. wired Iran approximately $9 million to remove 32 metric tons of its heavy water, which is used to produce plutonium and can aid in the making of nuclear weapons.”

But that didn’t stop the administration – on at least five occasions – from claiming otherwise:

Kirk, I might suggest you do a little more research before you publish those false claims.

        • frank stetson

Tom, who cares in what form the money was transferred? In obama’s case, it was their money and the world court would have ruled in their favor anyway. The rest is implementation.

Pretty much the same under Biden, but this was frozen due to the war and the potential funding by Iran.

YES — I am certain these dollars, or other alternative dollars now freed up because of these transfers, went to fund terrorism by Iran. But that does not mean we should steal before they even do it.

  4. KIRK AUGUSTIN

Netanyahu is the criminal. He knows he was voted in by only 7 million Israelis and is imprisoning, murdering, and stealing the land of the 13 million Arab natives who actually paid for almost all the land in both countries. He talks about 1200 hostages, but he already murdered hundreds of the hostages himself, by ordering the destruction of blocks of buildings in Gaza, and he knows he holds over 10,000 Palestinians illegally, without charges, including over 500 children.

If there were any historic claim to being Mideast natives, it was forfeit by electing Menachim Begin after he blew up the King David Hotel, gunned down Folke Bernadotte the UN moderator, and massacred hundreds of Arab villages like Deir Yassin.
