Jan 6 Video Shows Capitol Cop Not Killed by Protesters
Leftist media and the DC establishment have panicked after Tucker Carlson showed a video of January 6, 2021, that they had hidden from people for over two years. The video debunks the claims that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick was killed by the alleged violence on January 6.
Tucker Carlson, the star anchor of Fox News, showed clips of previously unseen footage from January 6, 2021, when protesters marched to the federal Capitol and walked inside in a mostly peaceful demonstration against the certification of the highly controversial 2020 presidential election.
One of the clips showed Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick walking around the building and looking fine while the media claimed he had died of injuries inflicted on him by alleged violence committed by the protesters. Carlson called those claims a lie in his commentary.
As Carlson commented, Officer Sicknick looked vigorous and healthy in the video and performed his duty as usual, wearing a helmet. Carlson noted about Officer Sicknick:
“He’s wearing a helmet so it’s hard to imagine he was killed by a head injury.”
Officer Sicknick died on January 7 of “natural causes,” as confirmed by the medical examiner’s report with strokes as the official cause of death. But the mainstream media and Democrats have continued to blame January 6 protesters for his death despite the media’s acknowledgment that they had wrongly reported his death to result from injuries during the “riots” on January 6.
The video footage aired on Carlson’s show drove the final nail in the coffin of the establishment narrative about Officer Sicknick’s death, blamed on the January 6 protests. But as the truth was aired, it hurt many who had taken advantage of keeping it hidden from the public view for over two years.
Many leftist news outlets threw their weight behind a statement issued by the deceased officer’s family, which expressed outrage over Carlson’s show airing the previously unseen footage. Business Insider cited the family as:
In a statement, Sicknick’s family blasted Fox News and said the footage showed he was able to valiantly “resume his duties” after being attacked by the mob.
The story reminded us that five officers died after the events of January 6 but offered no evidence that they were actually killed by the protests.
The left isn’t the only side angry over Tucker Carlson’s show sharing the hidden footage with the public. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, a senior Republican that many conservatives view as an establishment asset, also rebuked Fox News for letting the show air the heretofore guarded segments of the footage. He called it “a mistake for Fox News.”

Ashley Babbit illegally breached the Capitol and then attempted climbing through a shattered window next to the Speaker’s Lobby door which was barricaded. Her unfortunate and tragic death possibly saved the lives of a number of members of Congress, both sides of the aisle. Pipe bombs had been found elsewhere, insurrectionists were known to have concealed weapons, several times on the tape you can hear the words: “he’s got a gun” as the three police guarding the door retreat. Tense times as insurrectionists break the glass next to the door, lift Babbit up, she is warned not to go though the glass, and she begins through only to be shot in the shoulder by Capitol Police. The officer may have saved members of Congress from the mob.
The only narrative here is Babbit acting on the ex-Presidents words. No one “needs her” to prove the violence of the crowd. And nothing sticks to Trump because he is very oily. Many of the insurrectionist have testified, in court, under penalty of perjury, that Trump’s lies incited them to do the deeds of that tragic day. He has not sued any of them for that.
I am amazed folks like Mr Dempsey are picking up this ball and running with it. For Darren, it is expected.

No, Babbit did not need to be shot. If Trump had not lied, incited the crowd, she would be alive today. If she had not believed the lie, if she had not broken the law, stormed the Capitol and then tried to storm the Speaker’s Lobby heading to the House Chamber, she would we alive.
The policeman was exonerated of any guilt, he is a hero, it is amazing that more were not shot and injured that day.

The death of Officer Sicknick was adjudicated, by the coroner, in April of 2021 who stated Sicknick’s died of natural causes, not at the hands of protestors, at least directly. That has been the story since April of 2021.

On March 14, Julian Elie Khater, 32, of State College, Pennsylvania, and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of Morgantown, West Virginia, were arrested for assaulting Officer Sicknick.
He was sprayed with chemicals at 2:20pm on 1/6/2021, but no evidence of injuries from that.
He collapsed from a stroke at 10pm 1/6/2021.
The spraying is on tape, and while Sicknick died of natural causes, according to the same medical examiner: “all that transpired played a role in his condition.” And that condition was death.
Over 140 Capitol Cops were injured during the insurrection no matter how falsely the “law and odor” crowd spins it.
Khatar and Tanios both pleaded guilty to what Tucker said never happened. One, who did not spray, served 5 months, the other is still in, having been served six year in prison for something that Tucker, and now YOU, say never happened and YOU have proof of that on film that no one could prove in court.

There is the video of the people breaking the windows. There are known witnesses of the windows being broken. How many of the people who actually did it have been caught and prosecuted? (I have not heard of even one.) How much effort has been put into finding and apprehending them? Don’t then seem like high priority perps, here?

Obviously, there are arguments on both sides of the aisle here. The only way for America to find out the truth is to release all the tapes of the protest and make them available for viewing either on the internet or better yet on mainstream media television. I suspect that one political party or the other will object to that idea, but it is the only way that the truth will be shown.

Some of the Tucker “truths” that ain’t. I pulled a few from his show, and as documented by Politifact. The big one:
“The protesters believed that the election they had just voted in had been unfairly conducted, and they were right. In retrospect, it is clear the 2020 election was a grave betrayal of American democracy.”
“And they were right.” Tucker fully acknowledges his full support of The Big Lie even though his court-statements, texts, emails, etc. say the exact opposite and that Tucker knows The Big Lie is a lie. It’s just that his viewers pay him more money to lie.
“These were not insurrectionists, they were sightseers.” Give it a rest man, we all saw the tapes. It was, as adjudicated in our courts of law in a nation that is governed by law, an insurrection (we have 10 convictions for seditious conspiracy, five more to go) that was hidden inside a violent riot that was hidden inside a peaceful protest that was kicked off by a peaceful rally. The sedition was planned in advance. The sedition targeted overthrowing the election through violence. That’s an insurrection.
Tucker supports the NYPost claim: “Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell refused “repeated requests” by the Capitol Police chief “for backup, for the National Guard.” No proof, no evidence that either of these folks refused support. They have no AUTHORITY to make the call. They did call those who did have the responsibility and authority to make the call. Donald J, Trump watched what he caused on TV while tossing burgers at the walls and HE DID NOT CALL for over 3 hours.
Tucker supports The Washington Examiner’s claim: “I remember asking reporters at the time, you know, why do you keep calling these people ‘armed insurrectionists’ when there’s no evidence that anybody used any arms against it? And they said, ‘Well, they had flagpoles.’ So it’s because people were walking around with American flags that made them ‘armed insurrections.’ First, did you see some of those flagpoles? Come on, when you hang a flag from a spear, isn’t that a weapon? Court documents, video evidence and news coverage refute Tucker, again, showing a number of rioters with firearms. Dozens more carried knives, bats and other weapons including flagpoles, fire extinguishers, skateboards and chemical sprays. Many were makeshift as camouflage, like the flagpole spears.
Lonnie Coffman of Alabama had multiple weapons both in his truck, parked nearby, and on his body. Eleven Molotov cocktails. Guy Reffitt of Texas was charged with bringing a handgun onto Capitol grounds. Christopher Michael Alberts of Maryland also brought his loaded handgun, with extra mags, onto Capitol grounds.
Tucker Carlson has admitted in court filings that he lies to make money. It’s his job. His audience loves it apparently.

Unsurprisingly the reporting on January 6th was a bit chaotic and confused. One source reported officer sicknick’s death from a stroke. Then there came the correction that he had been bludgeoned to death with a fire extinguisher by a protester. Then it was reported that the fire extinguisher had been thrown by the protester, and it had hit Sicknick after being thrown. Not long later, a different source reported an apparent inconsistency with that story in a text Sciknick had sent family after the grounds had been largely cleared, in which he said something like, “gassed or sprayed a few times, but still in good shape and in good spirits”. (My memory is not good enough to recall word-for-word.) Some honest journalists reported on the 7th that they were unable to verify from the video evidence that Sicknick had ever been struck in the head with a fire extinguisher. Then a report on the morning of the 7th, reports of Sicknick’s death were corrected — he was under care, but had not died. Later on the 7th Sicknick died.
