ICE Nabs Rapists, Kidnappers, and More in First Wave of Trump Crackdown

In the first round of ICE raids initiated by Donald Trump and his new Border Czar, at least one suspected terrorist, gang members, and an alleged rapist are among those illegal immigrants arrested by federal authorities in recent days.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is out in force for President Donald Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration. Trump campaigned on mass deportations and stricter border controls, and he is keeping his promise!

ICE has announced thousands of arrests in the first two weeks of Trump’s presidency.

Trump’s “Border Czar,” Tom Homan, said they’re prioritizing criminals in the early going, but he said anyone who entered the U.S. without authorization could be taken into custody and sent out of the country. Homan told ABC News that there have already been “collateral arrests” in sanctuary cities during operations focused on rounding up criminals. And he said any immigrant living in the U.S. illegally has “got a problem” as the Trump administration launches its crackdown.

Homan told Fox News that they’ve had a great, “unprecedented” start. But Homan said they’re not satisfied with the pace of deportations.

“It’s great. It’s good. But we’re not finished. And we need more deportations, a lot more deportations,” Homan said on Fox News.

ICE has announced arrests of alleged criminals in cities around the country, including New York, Chicago, and Houston. ICE is on pace for its highest number of daily arrests on record. There was an average of 310 daily arrests during the last fiscal year of the Biden administration and 467 the year prior.

There was only one year when daily arrests averaged over 400 during Trump’s first term in office, which came in 2018.

Sheriff Kieran Donahue, the president of the National Sheriffs’ Association, said that he’s “profoundly appreciative that they’re addressing this criminal element” through the ICE arrests. Donahue and his fellow sheriffs sounded the alarm in the fall over the dangers they saw stemming from a lack of immigration enforcement.

During the first weeks of the crackdown, In Denver, ICE arrested Luz Maria Ramirez-Monreal, an illegal Mexican national charged with burglary, strangulation, and kidnapping. Ramirez lawfully entered the U.S. in 2022 but later violated the terms of her lawful admission, ICE said.

In Boston, ICE announced several arrests, including Jose Garcia-Salmeron, a Salvadoran national charged with raping a Massachusetts resident. Garcia-Salmeron “represents a significant threat to the safety of Massachusetts neighborhoods,” an ICE official said in a news release. They also apprehended Luis Adolfo Guerra-Perez, an illegally present 19-year-old Guatemalan gang member charged with drug and weapons crimes, as well as Juan Alberto Rodezno-Marin, a Honduran illegal immigrant charged with sex crimes, assault and battery, and armed robbery.

In Baltimore, another city overwhelmed by migrant crime, ICE caught up with Anderson Geovany Romero, a Salvadoran national and member of the MS-13 gang.

“MS-13’s designation as a terrorist organization highlights the grave threat it poses to public safety. The arrest of Romero sends a clear message: ICE is unwavering in its commitment to protecting our nation’s communities,” an ICE official said in a news release.

In nearby Washington, D.C., ICE arrested Daniel Bustamante-Cespedez, a Bolivian national convicted of driving while intoxicated.

Mass deportation is popular with the president’s supporters. The Pew Research Center found that 88% of Trump supporters favor mass deportation.

Not that it matters, but over 50% of those detained are not criminal, but undocumented with is a civil offense.

Just saying that most, if not all, of the undocumented represent workers in our economy for jobs Americans won’t take at those pay levels. There will be an economic effect. that, like tariffs, will raise prices to the consumer.

    Enjoy.

FYI: I am all for deportation of criminals. But the undocumented should be more of a nuanced deportation so we can retain good, honest workers. I suggest e-verify meaning no SSecurity number, no work and then we offer an amnesty for good, honest workers that we perhaps give a modest fine PLUS a fair amount of community service. A win-win is almost always better than a win-lose.

Stop with the lying. You don’t want anyone deported. You’re just another typical liberal asshole that doesn’t believe in borders. Your dumbass posts are nothing but Marxist bullshit. So you should retire from posting because everyone else thinks you’re a joke
