Hillary Clinton Faces FBI Indictment

On the eve of the nation’s first caucus, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton faces the threat of indictment concerning the use of her homebrew email server. The FBI wants both Hillary and her longtime aide Huma Abedin to be indicted for using the server to conduct secret government business, said Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) to the Washington Examiner

“I think the FBI director would like to indict both Huma and Hillary as we speak. I think he’s in a position where he’s being forced to triple-time make a case of what would otherwise be, what they call, a slam dunk,” said Issa, referring to Director James Comey of the FBI. Comey’s agency has been investigating the email scandal ever since the former Secretary of State handed the server over to the State Department.

“There’s no question, she knew she had a responsibility and she circumvented it. And she circumvented it a second time when she knowingly let highly-classified material get onto emails in an unclassified format,” said Issa  (if you’ve read my other emails on the topic, you know that investigations have uncovered not only TOP SECRET, but SAP information as well).

Last week on the Steve Malzberg Show, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told his host that prosecution is imminent. The FBI is “ready to indict and they’re ready to recommend an indictment,” he said. Members of the FBI “also say that if the attorney general does not indict, they’re going public,” he added.

Former Bill Clinton adviser and political analyst Dick Morris agrees, telling Newsmax: “It either will be an indictment or a leaked FBI memo recommending an indictment. The indictment of course puts Hillary in the spot and may force her out of the race.”

Issa, who led an investigation into the suspicious Benghazi attacks when he was chairman of the House Oversight Committee, doesn’t believe Hillary will face criminal charges during the 2016 elections. “I’ve worked with both the last attorney general…and this attorney general, and I really don’t believe they’ll do it. Doing it, by definition, would end her run for president,” he said. “So do I think the Democrats are in an odd situation where the only thing they can do is hold their nose and hold back on an indictment? Sadly, yes.”

Editor’s note: We refrained from reporting this when Tom Delay first mentioned it since he is no longer an elected official, Dick Morris is just a commentator. Darrell Issa is a a sitting Congressman, we regard his comments as having some official weight.
