Former Ukrainian Prosecutor Speaks up about Biden Corruption

Former Ukrainian Prosecutor Speaks up about Biden Corruption

Speaking with Fox News host Brian Kilmeade last Saturday, former Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin says he was fired as a direct result of his investigation into Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holdings.

Shokin was sacked in March 2016 by then-Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. In December 2015, then-Vice President Joe Biden visited Kyiv and threatened to withhold a $1 billion aid package if the Ukrainian Government failed to remove Shokin.

Joe Biden’s son Hunter served on Burisma’s board of directors from 2014 to 2019. As explained in a previous article, it has been confirmed that Hunter’s employment with Burisma was nothing more than an attempt at leverage. Joe Biden claims that his threat to withhold aid money from Ukraine was due to Shokin being too soft on corruption, but Republicans have long argued that it had more to do with protecting Hunter.

During the interview with Fox News, Shokin noted that “nobody – including Joe Biden – has cited or mentioned or provided any examples of my corruption or any offense allegedly committed by me.” The former prosecutor added that he lives on a modest pension and does not have enough money to sue the US media for defamation.

“Poroshenko fired me at the insistence of the then-Vice President Biden because I was investigating Burisma,” said Shokin. “[Poroshenko] understood and so did Vice President Biden that had I continued to oversee the Burisma investigation, we would have found the facts about the corrupt activities that they were engaging in. That included both Hunter Biden and Devon Archer.”

Shokin claimed that Joe and Hunter Biden accepted bribes related to his firing and suggested the situation wounded America’s reputation in Ukraine, paving the way for Russia’s 2022 invasion. “Everybody [in Ukraine] knows that it was because of Joe Biden’s actions that Russia was able to claim Crimea without firing a single shot, which of course eventually led to a full scale war that is currently underway.”

A redacted email from March 2016 confirms that Hunter’s former business partner and Burisma colleague, Devon Archer, met with then-Secretary of State John Kerry less than four weeks before Shokin was fired. It is unclear what the two men discussed during the meeting.

Speaking with the House Oversight Committee this summer, Archer admitted that Burisma executives regularly asked Hunter to use his status and connections to silence threats to the company and its founder, Mykola Zlochevsky, including a 2015 appeal to Hunter that he call his daddy in Washington, DC to help stop Shokin’s investigation.

According to Archer, Joe Biden was present on at least 20 phone calls related to Hunter’s business ventures and attended two dinners held with his business associates. This testimony contradicts Joe Biden’s longstanding claim about being unaware of/ uninvolved in his son’s foreign goings-on.

In addition, members of the House Oversight Committee recently discovered that Joe Biden used aliases during his tenure as Vice President including: Robert L. Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware. Indeed, an email from May 2016 regarding an upcoming call with Poroshenko was sent to Biden under the name Robert L. Peters. Hunter was copied on the email, though it is unclear if he participated in the phone call.

As reported earlier this month, committee chairman James Comer (R-KY) has asked for unredacted access to all emails sent from those three aliases. Though pseudonyms are nothing new for White House officials, Biden’s use of three false names exacerbates suspicions regarding his involvement in his son’s business ventures.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley, who is involved in the investigation into Hunter’s tax crimes, told the committee that Joe Biden made an appearance at a dinner attended by Hunter, his associate Rob Walker, and members of Chinese energy firm CEFC. The CEFC has ties to the Chinese Communist Party and has reportedly wired money to Biden associates.

To date, Joe Biden has provided no reason for his use of aliases and has not confirmed if additional false names were used during his time as Vice President. White House officials continue to deny Shokin’s claims and insist that he was not investigating Burisma when he was fired.
