Everybody is “doin’ the Trump.”

Everybody is “doin’ the Trump.”

In case you missed it, the dance craze that is spreading across the world is “The Trump.”

At several of his rallies, President Trump would break into his own version of moving to the beat.  In one case, he had the music continue for more than 30 minutes as he and others grooved – well sort of.

Of course, the never-Trumpers mocked his dance moves – and in the case of the 30 minute version, they said it was a sign of his mental state.  (Of course, what can one expect from those humorless, anal retentive, politically correct, left-wing whiners?  But I digress.)

Despite the critics, “The Trump” is catching on.

Trump did a version as he entered Madison Square Garden for the UFC 309 MMA match between Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones to the cheers of tens of thousands of fans chanting “U-S-A, U-S-A”.  Thousands of fans joined in the dance.  After the match, Jones handed Trump the championship belt after doin’ the Trump.

That was no one time event.  “Doin’ the Trump” now qualifies as a dance craze.  The iconic Trump moves are seen on dance floors across the nation.  It has spread through the sports community as a victory dance.  Sports fans have taken to doin’ the Trump like they had taken to “the wave” and “Let’s go Brandon.”

San Francisco 49er Nick Bosa did The Trump after sacking the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback. NBC Sports reporter Melissa Stark was seen doin’ the Trump after the interview with Bosa.  Brock Bowers of the Las Vegas Raiders celebrated a touchdown with The Trump.

Others who celebrated on the field by doin’ the Trump include Detroit Lions’ Za’Darius Smith, Tennessee Titans Calvin Ridley, Jakobi Meyers of the Las Vegas Raiders, Buffalo bills quarterback Josh Allen, Baltimore Ravins Justin Tucker, and Sportscaster Jim Natz. All seen doin’ the Trump.  The Trump has become a regular part of Kid Rock’s public appearances.

The Drake University football team did The Trump during a game.  The Trump has gone international, as seen at English soccer marches.  Barnsley FC players celebrated a goal by doin’ the Trump.

So, which foreign leader will be the first to be seen doin’ the Trump?  I am betting it will be Kim Jong Un.  Except he will say he is doin’ the Kim and every person in North Korea will be doing it every day.

Mark another first for President Trump.  As far as I know, he is the only President in American History to have set off a dance craze in his name.  (No, The Shuffle was not named after President Biden.)

So, there ‘tis.

A sense of humor and some levity in a tense situation where emotions are running high happens to be a time for a break. That’s the purpose for loud and percussive music between speakers’ set times on stage. Main attraction head liner as Trump was for attendees who came there to see him and watch him speak. He went off script and started swaying not really a true solo dance move, but I am not a dance aficionado or a judge scoring a dancer’s form going through a choreographed sequence.
The thought that came as I watched was that some technical failure had prompted Trump’s quitting his speaking at the lectern. No doubt his re-ordering his time on the fly exasperated sound and light technicians and keep his security detail on their toes.
Possible Trump thought he could look cool and win approval from young people watching.
What Trump did for 30 expensive commercial minutes may be classified as entertainment by some standard. However, he again broke with expected norms and did it his way. He can be expected to do the unexpected and surprise his handlers .
How he decides his next move the first year in office will be unconventional, unpredictable, impetuous, and often incorrigible. Trump will wing it while going with his gut in meetings and in decision making moments when he meds focus.
His “dance” going viral internationally shows how rapidly videos travel once put online. Trump can’t run and hide from media’s attention. Attention is what energizes him and pumps up his imagination for creating stories out of nonsensical unrelated TV report fragments which he gathers from hours and hours viewing news commentaries and checking messages on X. The sports universe is fertile soil where Trumpisms gain quick approval and silly repetition. Trump loves the thought that a crazy moment on camera has been copied, satisfying his need for approval. Who knows if the ones doing his dance actually voted for him, or just are they having a good laugh and getting attention in the bargain.
If Trump could have monetized the moment it would be pay per view. Recognizing that Trump markets almost anything. Getting his Trump Dance on video for free is a bargain.

Trump did the 30 minute dance because there were 2 Medical Emergencies going on. He stopped his speech when he saw what was happening. Funny how the “MSM” never mentions what caused the dance.

Larry gets points for being ahead of the news. It’s 24/7 for fifteen minutes of fame.

    Are you entertained?

The real fun is about to start as those sliver voters and peel off voters begin to see what their vote bought.

SNL had a field day, Trump made them relevant once more.

    I was entertained.

Kudos to Horist for being front of pack.

And I am sorry, Trump’s first dance was “do the hustle” as shown by Josh Hawley on 1.6.2021. First you fist pump, then run like hell. Iconic it is.

Larry, your dendrin is working overtime. I live in a very red county. I have not seen the Trump here. And by they way, if researched, I think you would find Trump actually copied it from several football teams and other sports teams.

Tom…I am not surprised that you have not noticed “doin’ the Trump” since you are generally a very unaware person, living in your small silo. We have seen football players doing a dance after scoring a touchdown, but the Trump is a bit unique. But I guess you are not that discerning. And I love your reference to dendrin….lol. Another “petrified whale poop” insult? LMAO When you are not ranting here, are you spending your days watching the Science Channel??? LOL

Biden’s dance would have been the Hussle, ( Ask Ukraine or China ) if falling down could be considered a dance.
Too bad the name was already given to a Dance in the 70s.

Darren. The hussle is now known as “do the hawley” that he introduced on 1.6.2032. First you fist pump, and then run as if the devil himself was on your ass.

      That moment is priceless!
