Epstein issue is more political hot air than substance

Epstein issue is more political hot air than substance

Not since the Russian collaboration hoax, the Steele Dossier hoax and the Hunter Biden laptop-a-Russian-dirty-trick hoax have Democrats engaged in such a major bogus narrative as they have with the Epstein case.  As usual, the success of making political hot air seem like substance has been due to the complicity of a corrupt news media – operating as a propaganda wing of the Democratic Party.

In the theater of modern politics, few stories have been as persistently distorted and sensationalized against President Trump as the Jeffrey Epstein saga. What began as a legitimate criminal investigation into a convicted sex offender with ties to powerful figures has morphed into a political cudgel—wielded not in pursuit of justice, but in service of partisan warfare. At the center of this distortion is the persistent and unfounded implication that Trump was somehow complicit in Epstein’s criminal activities. It is a narrative that is devoid of evidence and defies logic.

Let us be clear.  Epstein’s crimes were heinous and real, his victims deserve justice, and anyone complicit in the revealed abuses should be held accountable. But the allegations that Trump is secretly entangled in Epstein’s criminal web—despite years of scrutiny, investigations, and media obsession—are not just unsupported.  They border on political fantasy and wishful thinking — kept alive by innuendo, partisan desperation and a compromised news media.

The Illogic of the Cover-Up Theory

The assumption driving much of the public speculation is that damning information about Trump, Bill Clinton, and other elites is being covered up—perhaps buried in sealed court documents, redacted flight logs or unreleased government files. But this theory collapses under the weight of logic.

If there were prosecutable evidence implicating Bill Clinton, does anyone seriously believe Trump officials would have kept it secret?  If Trump’s team had access to anything indictable regarding Clinton, it would have been leaked and plastered across every conservative news outlet in the country. Even the left-wing press would have had to reluctantly cover it.

Conversely, if there were incriminating evidence against Trump, the Biden administration had every incentive – and four years — to release it. And they most certainly would have.  If there was a smoking gun linking Trump to Epstein’s crimes, it would have been political malpractice not to reveal it. God knows, Biden & Company used every opportunity to drag Trump into court.  They would not have passed on this one.  Yet no such evidence has ever emerged. No charges. No leaks. No credible accusations.

I feel fairly confident that there is no prosecutable evidence that neither Trump nor Clinton were culpable of criminal activities with Epstein.  Were they associated with Epstein?  Of course they were.  He was a high roller who traveled among the elite.  Lots of famous, rich and powerful people rubbed elbows with Epstein, were photographed with him and even traveled as guests on his airplane.  However, none of that is evidence of a crime.

Silence Speaks Volumes

In view of the hyper interest Democrats and the left-wing media are giving this matter, it is noteworthy that during Biden’s presidency there has been no Democrat clamor to release the Epstein files. No sweeping transparency push. No urgent demand for full disclosure. Why? Because the files likely contain nothing politically useful. If they did, they’d be out already.  The Epstein case is being used as a political cudgel – another Democrat bogus narrative.

What do they expect to find in the tens of thousands of pages of evidence, testimony and videos that is not already known?  Apart from Trump and Clinton, are there the names of other prominent or not so prominent individuals who were complicit in Epstein’s depraved activities?  If not, there is no reason to reveal anything more.  Salacious public interests or political motivations are not sufficient to break the rules and traditions concerning such information.

We have to keep in mind why such information is not routinely revealed by prosecutorial offices – including the FBI, the Department of Justice and the courts.  Releasing potentially sensitive information about individuals not subject to prosecution would violate the privacy and longstanding legal norms. Grand jury testimony is secret by design. It protects the innocent, preserves the integrity of investigations, and prevents reputational harm to those not charged with crimes.

The FBI and Justice Department have long had policies of not making public information about individuals not under investigation or being targeted.  It is a matter of law and policy — and it applies equally, whether the subject is Trump, Clinton or drill press operator in Butte. Montana.

Victim Protection

Then there is the protection of victims.  It has been a longstanding policy that unless it is absolutely necessary, victims should be protected by anonymity.   In the Epstein case, some victims are demanding release of all the information while others prefer to remain in the background.  Unless it is purely partisan motivation, it is difficult to understand why victims would like to have the files made public.  If they had information against Trump, Clinton or others, they should have provided that information to authorities already.  They could still name names publicly.  But they have not.

Attorney James Marsh, who represents several victims, said they want “accountability and transparency”. Those sound like worthy goals, but without specifics of the “accountability” and the specific benefits of “transparency,” the words ring hollow.

Victims who have gone public say that releasing all the documents would provide closure or establish their veracity. It seems that ripping the band-aid off the wounds would retard and delay closure – as some victims have said. And it seems that the credibility of their testimonies is well established in the public mind.  Neither of those claims justify abandoning the long-established policies and traditions in such cases.

Political Hot Air Balloon

So why does the Epstein-Trump narrative persist?  Because it’s politically useful. It allows Democrats and their media allies to keep Trump tethered to scandal, even in the absence of evidence. It’s a way to smear by association, to suggest guilt through proximity, and to keep the public distracted from the Democrats unpopular issues and falling popularity.

It’s the same tactic used during the Russia collusion hoax. Years of baseless accusations, headlines, investigations, and breathless speculation—all culminating in a report that found no criminal conspiracy with the Russians by Trump or any other American. But the damage was done. The bogus narrative had served its purpose.

Same with the false narrative about the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden laptop.  Democrats pushed off a potentially election-changing scandal by floating the false narrative that the content of the laptop was a Russian dirty trick.  Thanks to media complicity (again), it, too, worked – pushing the truth past the election.

The Epstein story is now following the same arc. The facts are secondary. The goal is to keep Trump in the shadow of suspicion, to imply that something must be there, even if no one has been able to find or reveal it.

The Real Victims

Lost in all this political theater are the actual victims of Epstein’s abuse. Their stories deserve to be heard, their abusers brought to justice. If there are stories that have not been heard – and culprits not yet held accountable – let the victims say so.  State the accusations and name names.  But when the case becomes a partisan weapon, the pursuit of justice is replaced by the pursuit of headlines. The victims become props in a political drama, their suffering overshadowed by vacuous speculation and smear campaigns.

This is the true tragedy of the Epstein narrative. It’s no longer about accountability. It’s about optics. It’s about keeping Trump on the defensive, Clinton out of the spotlight, and the public distracted from the absence of real evidence.

A Call for Clarity

It is time to deflate the political hot air balloon. The Epstein case should be treated with the seriousness it deserves—not as a partisan bludgeon, but as a legal matter governed by evidence, due process, and the rule of law – such as it is.

If there are indictable offenses, prosecute them. If not, stop pretending there is a conspiracy to hide them. The truth is not a political weapon. It’s a responsibility.  And in the case of Epstein, it’s something that has been repeatedly abused.  It is long past the time to move on to something tangible … something real … something worthy of all the news coverage.

So, there ‘tis.

Democrats? I stand with Republican House leader, Marjorie Taylor Greene on this one. Never before and probably never again, but here we are!!! From CBS: “Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene urged that “the truth needs to come out,” advocating for transparency on behalf of the survivors and saying “this should never be a political issue that divides us.”

“Today, we are coming forward and we are going to fight like hell for these women, because we have to fight like hell for those that are enduring sexual abuse and are living in a prison of shame,” Greene said.

“This is the most important fight we can wage here in Congress, is fighting for innocent people who never received justice,” Greene said. “And the women behind me have never received justice.”

Greene said she was “honored” to sign the discharge petition, and she called on her GOP colleagues to “choose every path for justice and accountability and transparency.”

Now, if you want the real news on this, if you want to hear from real people on this: here’s what the victims and others, like Greene, really said, rather than the spin spew presented here.

Sorry Dunger. There is no evidence that Trump had any part of victimization of young girls. I know that’s what you want. Two other campaigns and this shit wasn’t mentioned. But keep hope alive. And go suck dog dicks yourself. You seem to like the idea.

  3. frank danger

Willie, Hell called and told me you have them all reserved. Apparently you DO that deed as proven by your own use of improper names. In hell no less. Well, pucker up buttercup. Thank you very much for confirming that. Otherwise, you would use my proper PBP name: FRANK DANGER. As only a gentleman would. But you don’t know about that now, do you? Funny that you chose a name having nothing to do with yourself, as man seemingly without a willie. Hopefully, you will see where this is going and choose a higher path of morality and good taste. Otherwise, pucker up and enjoy the taste as you seem to so often.

Obviously you have me confused with someone else since I have never mentioned Trump having any part of any victimization of young girls. Or you are lying again. I’m going with confused. Perhaps some better education would help your reading comprehension dysfunction. There’s some good online courses with testing to help you improve. Need a link?

For Trump’s perversions, history has shown he’s more of a peek artist of young girls and a groper of women. At least that’s what the court testimony says. He did not even push back on the witnesses, all of them, although he did try to sue one for defamation for using the word: RAPE. I think he has a fear of germs so leery of dipping his wick without testing his target. He did try to contest his frequent groping in court but he got shot down, case tossed out, and then called a “rapist, in the common sense of the word,” by the judge.

However great you think the guy, how ever much you love Trump-life in America now, he is a convicted felon and a pervert groper. Adjudicated in court, found guilty of one, liable on the other, but a juror of peers weighing all the evidence against him.

Meanwhile. Grow up. Let’s discuss the issues and leave the personal shit off the site. You can do better than grade-school taunts.

  4. Uncle tom

Mr. Danger I don’t care if he groped your mother. I’m proud of Trump and his leadership. Liars convicted him and made him liable. Politics is a dirty game. But he’s doing what we elected him to do. And he beat two heavy hitters. And so far he’s unstoppable. So go back to your post name from before. And stop being silly. The democrats have been defeated. They will never be the force that they once was. The democrats are the Dunger party.

  5. WeeEEE The People

The cover-up is beyond obvious and real MAGA knows it and criticizes it. It’s a nice little red herring to make it about Trump’s name in there or Clinton’s name in there. Whoever’s names are in there, all the previous admins and the current admin have guarded the pedos. Maxwell remains in jail convicted of trafficking and Trump, like Obama-Biden, has been hiding the clients, the people to whom the children were trafficked. And it’s funny to see conservatives rushing to discredit the Epstein files but bragging about files from the Russia-collusion hoax when the same hands handled both. Speak of partisan politics. Let the victims speak and kudos to MTG and Massie for spearheading that campaign. Trump is obviously scared. About what? Only he knows or those who control him.

    • Larry Horist

WeeeEEE The People …You may have missed a critical sentence in my commentary. ” If there are stories that have not been heard – and culprits not yet held accountable – let the victims say so. State the accusations and name names.” You are not wrong. It is possible that there are individual who are culpable and prosecutable, who have not been. That would be a criminal cover-up both the Biden and Trump DOJ’s. The best source of the information is from the victims. Why have then been complicit in a cover-up, if there be one. They say they will not name names. Good. That will force further investigation and action, But we are looking for people who are PROVABLY guilty … not just names of people mention in files. And remember, the only conceivable comes are having sex with underage girls knowingly. Being involved in Epstein’s sex enterprise — tawdry as it may be — is not a crime. One interesting case is Prince Andrew. But did he know girl was underage and can that be proven in a court-of-law. I have to questions … what is being covered up and who is being protected — and why would both the Biden Trump administrations protect anyone provable guilty? We can believe anything we want in the court-of-public-opinion, but real courts have high standards of evidence. I am all for locking up the guilty — but not needlessness slander the innocent of crime — no matter how obscene there behavior may be. So far, I only see accusations of a coverup for which there is not evidence (yet) and not clear motivation. I would think that Biden or Trump would want the dirt out on the other side.

Pretty sure the author will go bust on this one as there is little doubt that the Epstein files should be released, were promised to be released, and will be released — someday. He claims we should hear from the victims: who does he think is represented in the files. Let’s start with the files BEFORE you force these women to relive the horror, the torture, the rape ONE MORE TIME. Enough.

The question for the author is: why hold back the Epstein files? What possible reason can you have for not releasing them? And that question can go to Trump 1 and Biden as well. But for the author, what possible reason exists for hiding the information from the public? Since we can’t even pinpoint who will be harmed, or not, how can you even fathom any reason to not be transparent, as you promised. To not meet your commitment of your promise to release? To not honor the very reason a lot of people voted for you? Why would you suggest that we don’t need to look at the files UNLESS the victims come forward. They started coming forward in 2005 in Florida and then again for his 2019 incarceration. How much more do you need them to do? Can’t we step up and help by being transparent on the files?

About 100 Mbs have been released in the 33K pages. There are gigabytes of data in the files, perhaps terabytes.

First, yes, they should have been released under Biden and I, for one, would like to know why not? Could have been released in during Trump 1 too. Yes, many Democrats, staring in 2019 in Trump’s backyard in FL demanded release of the files at the time FL let him off the hook knowing full well he was abusing little girls. Instead, the guy who let him off the hook, Acosta, was made Treasury Secretary by Trump, how strange. There’s a long list of Democrats asking for file release starting with Wasserman Schultz, a long list, but Biden is not on it, nor did he react to it. We should ask him to respond as to what’s up with that?

Second, there is no doubt that Trump promised to release the files just like he promised to end the Ukraine war before 1/25 or lower grocery prices. Or bring jobs back to America. We should hold him to account on this as there is NO ISSUE with fulfilling his promise. He just has to say the word.

Enough of the protection of old white rich guys and politicians.

Third, the victims, and there’ over 1,000, deserve closure, deserve justice, and they are getting little from Trump. Trump even calls the mere asking for the files “a Democratic hoax” further demeaning these girls who lived the horror he calls a hoax. What’s next, blame the girls? And forcing them to recount, relive, the experience in order to set these files free is pure torture by a man who can’t meet this most ez of promises.

The guy did it; why hold the files and even suggest it’s up to the girls to prove it first. Bondi said the list of names is in there; let’s see what she saw.

Fourth, Trump’s AG, Bondi, not only said there’s a list, she said she had it on her desk. At least, fire her for lying which is obvious she did. If Biden needs to answer on his “no show,” then Bondi needs to respond as to her lie, and why?

This one will not go away Mr. Horist.

The files will be released someday. Step up or get out of the way.

Even MT Greene wants the release and has been very eloquent, go figure, on the subject. Greene has not stated such, but seems to take this VERY personally. She quit Catholicism in 2011 over the sex abuse scandal and has been VERY active in words and deeds about pedophilia and sex abuse. About 20% of all women experience rape or attempted rape. A third of those are teens. Pretty good odds that Greene or a close friend felt the pain of this tragedy that WE can help end by being transparent and not letting these old white rich guys off the hook. Lately it seems we treat mortgage fraud harsher than sexual abuse.

  6. PB

On September 4, 2025, at the Capitol, Speaker Johnson spoke that Donald Trump was at one time served for the FBI as a confidential informant in efforts to expose Jeffery Epstein. I hope this helps non-believers.

  7. Frank danger

Trump’s timeline has been funny on this from the beginning. The friendship, the ending, the marca lago hirings or not, Acosta, and now this startling revelation from outer space. Nonetheless, it’s got to be in the files so be transparent and release them.

Blaming Biden doesn’t shed light; blaming Democrats does not shed light. Having Johnson carry your water does nothing. The truth is in the files.

Ask yourself: Trump said he never saw no hanky panky; what could he inform on and when has he ever been able to hold a confidence? What’s next, he’s really Clark Kent? He’s already selling his Superman merch after all. Must be true.

Just be transparent, honor the victims with some measure of justice, put Maxwell in a real prison, and let those files see the light of day to show us him working with the FBI.

There is no other answer, no deflection or diversion can offer solace.

  8. LM

MAGA is so lost on this issue. Trump ran on releasing the files and going after the perps. Another of his many lies. Now we have evidence that they will attempt to redact all the republican’s names in the files but not the democrats. And Mike “no spine” Johnson is trying to get away with this new BS scheme that trump was an FBI informant. What a joke! Biden’s DOJ didn’t release the files because A) the judge sealed them and B) he was protecting those in the files as well. Every single perp needs to be brought to light and be made to pay for their crimes. And Maxwell’s little deal with trump needs to be overturned and she needs to go back to maximum security.

  9. Somebody

Why is it that no matter what anyone says or posts, you think you always know better than them. That is so degrading to human beings. All your posts slam everyone else. Are you trying to be God? I don’t think so, maybe antichrist, but not God. If I didn’t know better myself, I would say you are part of the Democrats Deep State from Washington, DC. Why don’t people mean anything to you? Do you treat your family the same way? If so, that is abuse, Mr. Danger. I see you as very, very dangerous. Enough to be afraid of what you would do if you met any of us. Probably murder.

    • Asher philli

      That’s Mr. Dunger.

  10. Seth

Dunger is trying to impress us with his comical danger nick name. But I’m hard to impress. He hates being called Dunger but most of the stuff he spouts are dung. I’m hoping that his family will get him some help. He’s delusional

  11. frank danger

Everybody loves somebody, sometime. Seth too. Somebody seems to hate me, Seth is upset too. They can’t debate the issues, so they just toss some personal pooh. Like monkeys flinging feces for fun. Like to make up silly names in the jungle. Can’t argue with facts, only bungle. It’s a knock-out.

I continue to discuss the issues, they can’t. I continue not calling names, they can’t control themselves. I continue to talk issues and avoid personal attacks; they do the opposite. They use all their efforts to hate me, call me the “antichrist,” “dunger,” talk about me, my family, my fictional daughter, but cannot intelligently discuss any subject under discussion with some level of decorum. They even rail on me in threads I do not post to. They want me to enter some personal crapola brawl because, on the issues, they are incompetent, ineffective, and most certainly insecure in their own efforts to wage an argument to advance what they think. With supporting facts. Instead, just some emotional, defensive, personal attacks even suggesting a delusional hate about being called Dunger when, in truth, I am just sad that your spelling is so bad that you make up words. Even accuse me of potential murders over this stupid shit. Your feeling seems to be that if you can demean me personally, that your argument somehow is advanced. What argument? Or that you are so incompetent to make your point, so ineffective in finding your voice on the issues, that all you have left is schoolyard taunts. So sad. Sigh.

Sorry guys, I refuse to play your game and will stick to the discussion at hand, and any tangents of fact we choose to go down. But emotional, defensive, name calling, taunts and other ad hominem attacks —– that’s yours to own. Not for me.

Have a good day. Be happy.
