Black Lives Matter; Martin O'Malley is Booed off Stage at Phoenix Convention

Apparently it is now a crime to state that every life is important, regardless of race or color. The increasingly popular social media movement Black Lives Matter is getting out of control. 

This Saturday, Democratic presidential hopeful and former Governor of Maryland Martin O’Malley attended the 2015 Netroots Nation convention in Phoenix. He spoke of income inequality and the criminal justice system with moderator and illegal alien Jose Antonio Vargas. The liberal audience challenged O’Malley’s record as governor and mayor before interrupting him with cries of “black lives matter.” 

O’Malley’s response, “Black lives matter. White lives matter. All lives matter,” only made the situation worse. O’Malley, along with fellow candidate Bernie Sanders, was booed off the stage and forced to close the discussion. 

O’Malley apologized less than a day later with his metaphorical tail hanging between his legs: “That was a mistake on my part and I meant no disrespect. I did not mean to be insensitive in any way of communities that I did not understand the tremendous passion, commitment, and feeling and depth of feeling that all of us should be attaching to this issue.”

What he really apologized for was insinuating that all lives, both black and white, are equally important. 

Hillary Clinton fell into the same trap last month during a speech in which she said “all lives matter.” She was branded as racist.

What began as a hash tag on Internet forums has evolved into a dangerous, progressive left movement leaning towards the extreme. It is painfully obvious that Black Lives Matter does not consider all lives equal.
