Christian Parents Take Legal Fight for Child Custody to SCOTUS
The despotic powers of government agencies centered around woke ideology have forced a Catholic couple in Indiana to take their child custody battle to the Supreme Court. The couple’s son was taken away by the authorities because his parents wouldn’t accept his female gender identity.
The trouble for software engineer Jeremy Cox and his wife Mary Cox, a clinical studies manager, started at home in 2019 when their minor son declared himself a female. The parents did not agree with their son’s transgender beliefs and instead sought counseling for him to address his gender dysphoria and what they perceived were some underlying mental health issues, including an eating disorder.
In 2021 Indiana’s Department of Child Services launched an investigation into the issue. Later, a state court ordered to take the child away from the parents. The boy was placed in a foster home that “affirmed his transgender identity.”
After the legal battle went through various state courts, and the courts sided with the government, the Cox couple has finally taken the case to the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS). The Becket and Hershberger Law Office that represents the parents issued a press release on February 15 to provide a brief history of the case to notify that the case is going before the SCOTUS. The release reminded that the investigation into the parents of the child in question did not find any evidence of child abuse by the parents:
After completing its investigation, Indiana made an about-face and abandoned all allegations against Mary and Jeremy, admitting that the accusations of abuse were unsubstantiated.
The release added that even though an appeal court found that the Coxes were “fit parents,” it upheld the removal of their child.
Defending the government, the Indiana Attorney General’s Office has claimed that the child’s eating disorder was partly caused by the parents’ beliefs. Therefore, the Child Protective Services (CPS) had to remove the child for medical reasons.
Earlier this week, Jeremy and Mary Cox appeared in a video to share their side of the story.
Conservatives on social media reacted to the victimization of the Cox family with anger and frustration, bemoaning the utter disregard for parental rights. Mike Engleman from Indiana posted the clip of the Cox couple’s interview on Twitter/X questioning how in his red state of Indiana parental rights have been taken away.
Author and radio talk show host Bo Snerdley warned that what happened to the Cox family can happen anywhere.
One conservative Twitter/X account commented that this case illustrates the communist left’s war on American children. He added: “The line in the sand has officially been crossed with this in Indiana. It’s time to fight.”
The problem of transgender identity in children is traceable to the elementary education system where liberal ideologies indoctrinate young minds into questioning their gender and even promoting homosexual behavior against the beliefs and values of traditional, conservative parents. In Indiana, Attorney General (AG) Todd Rokita angered the left recently by launching an online portal called “Eyes on Education” to allow concerned citizens to report indoctrination of school children by educators in various issues including race and gender. The Guardian cited Josh Lowry, a Democrat politician in the state, calling the move part of a “rightwing national agenda.”
Our wonderful conservative SCOTUS should put a stop to this shit. Or do we citizens need to stop it? A message to all of the commies. Leave my kids alone. Or else.

Indiana is a fiercely Republican state, Obama was the only Dem to carry it in the past half a century. He won by 1%. Dempsey is an idiotic expecting you to eat his crap no matter what lies he spews.

The real story.
First, we must point out the gorilla on the table. This is about the family Cox, where both parents are Cox. There are two Cox already as parents in this family. No wonder the kid is questioning Cox.
This kid was 16, a he wanting to be a she in 2019. Parents forced religious consultation, and then DCS heard a complaint about verbal and emotional abuse by Cox (this never gets old {😊.
DCS (child services) investigated, parents lost custody in 2021 and she was put in a gender-affirming home away from the Cox, both of them. The courts said the kid developed a severe eating disorder under the care, and because of the care of the parents.
Cox appealed; Cox lost.
The court concluded: “parents have the right to express their religious beliefs, but they don’t have the right to exercise them in a way that would harm their child.”
The Coxes took it to the Indiana Supreme Court, they lost. Not even sure it was heard.
Somewhere along the way, this became something very different than gaining child custody. The child has been an adult since 2021 I think. So you know the Cox are not funding this, they are being bankrolled for the cause, not the kid. The Coxes stopped thinking about their kid years ago. Yeah, Dempsey didn’t tell you that the kid is an adult. Slipped his mind.
That’s the story, the straight skinny rather than the bullshit lie of that conclusion you get from The Dumpster.
The chance of SCOTUS picking this up is about 1%. Much of this deals with State’s Rights, a Republican, conservative, bible thumping state that chose it’s own laws and should not to be governed by the Federal SCOTUS overwriting the people’s will at the State level. What’s next, overturn the State on gun laws? Dempsy forgot that little piece of conservatism being from Pakistan no doubt. And perhaps a frustrated gay who just can’t have the balls to come out of the closet.

I am sure you have had people explain that you can never physically change genders because every cell in their body has either the XX chromosomes for female and or XY Chromosomes for male. YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR GENDER OR SEX. You can cut off parts, add parts, take chemical but can never change your sex or Gender. The parents did the right thing by getting their Child counseling over Gender Dysphoria.
dextor: did the Cox do the right thing by forcing the kid to religous brainwashing, or verbally and emotionally abusing the kid to the point of the kid developing an eating disorder which, based on the evidence, was recognized by the court as health affecting because of a couple of Cox? And the kid is now an adult so why are these Cox continuing to harass her? What’s the point in regards to this kid?
It’s not about the kid. Probably never was.
