WA Democrats Craft Bill to Remove George Washington from State Flag

The Democrats are on the back foot nationally after their crushing defeat in November 2024 and the immediate actions of President Trump from the Oval Office to defeat their anti-American agenda. But to put up a mock fight of a show, they are turning to antics in the states they run. In the blue state of Washington, for example, the Democrats have moved the legislature to remove George Washington from the state flag.
The House Bill (HB) 1938 was introduced in the State House of WA by three Democrat members – Strom Peterson, Julia Reed, and Greg Nance – on February 11 under the title “Creating the Washington state flag redesign committee.” The committee will be tasked with redesigning the state flag so as to remove George Washington’s image from it as well as make other changes.
As reported on One America News (February 18), the Democrats starting this effort to cancel George Washington from the state’s representative flag have claimed that the flag is “aesthetically-unpleasant” or in simple terms, not easy on the eyes because it is too complex. The bill’s text also reads:
“Additionally, while George Washington is an important national figure, he has limited historical connection to the state itself. This makes his image less meaningful as a symbol for the state.”
The Democrats reportedly want a flag that represents the state’s resources as well as its “shared history and diverse cultural communities.”
Daily Mail called it a “woke plot to axe face of founding father” from the flag of Washington. Reminding that this attack by the Democrats on America’s First President is not new:
Earlier in 2024, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson announced plans to remove a statue of Washington from his city hall, before backpedaling.
Conservatives on social media reacted to the news by condemning the Democrats as anti-American.

Some conservatives called for action to stop Democrats from changing the state flag. One post wrote: “Now is the time to speak up before we have an Islamic symbol on our state flag.”

The Republicans of the State Senate questioned the move on their official X (Twitter) page by reminding the steep decline of the state under Democrat leadership on issues like homelessness, crime, corruption, and living costs.
Flags have historically represented the jurisdiction or authority of a nation or a group of people over a marked territory. In a war, raising one’s own flag over a territory means it is claimed by the people represented by the flag. Democrats seem to know this significance all too well. That is why they replaced the old flag of Minnesota last year with a redesigned one that resembles the flag of Somalia.
It is to be seen what kind of a flag they create for Washington. For now, it seems the Democrats are reacting like pissed teenagers to the big measures taken by the Trump administration to dismantle the anti-American leftist machinery. Removing George Washington, a historical figure symbolizing liberty and patriotism, from the state flag is likely the beginning of a Democrat resistance on the level of symbols.
Why don’t they rename the state, since Geo. Washington had nothing to do with its founding? The rationale the Dems use to justify the redesign of the flag is just a cover for their anti-American attitudes.
The democrats prove every day that they hate America and think the country should be diminished. And they are still as dangerous to our freedoms as ever before. That explains why low life people support them
Seth believes that half the country “prove every day that they hate America and think the country should be diminished.” He further feels “they are still as dangerous to our freedoms as ever before.” And he firmly establishes that he feels half the country is low lives.
Is it even vaguely possible he could be right?
And if so, which 50%, his or theirs?
This bullshit goes back to the founders, to Jefferson and Madison, and after a couple hundred years, people like Seth still can’t get past it. He is as Jeffersonian as I am Madisonian. I suggest he read Jefferson’s first inaugural address. After an election that makes Trump look Presidential, similar arguments on immigration, taxation, small/large central government, state’s rights, and a fuck of a lot of slander, Jefferson at 57, rips out this speech; perhaps his best writing since the Declaration, but unlike that document, this one was all Jefferson.

While Jefferson may have thought, and spoke like Seth, before the election, his speech shows the maturity of understanding that a nation divided, cannot stand. Seth seeks the divide. My name is spelled: danger, and I seek the union. America, working together, not in lockstep loyalty to a man, but in the glorious continuing progress to enlightenment of our vision, can never be torn apart by the mere musings of the mentally defective.
The democrats do the dividing. The republicans are , with a few exceptions like senator Collins and Mitch McConnell, are the party of original constitutional principles. The democrats believe that the Constitution should change with the times. And they call us Nazis. Lol. They could have written the Nazi handbook.
Seth, you apparently know little about your beliefs and party. Jefferson, your party’s pre-sequel father, you know, Tree of Liberty and all that hoopla, actually believed that the Constitution should be re-written by every generation. Only later did you adopt strict Constitutionalism at a level that would make the founders vomit. And while your Felon King rewrites it to suit his fancy, most recently, nuking the concept of three branches of government trampling over Congressional responsibilities and rewriting roles while packing the court with loyalists to neuter our system of checks and balances.
You mean the NAZI handbook Trump used to keep at his bedside because it’s chummier than Melanoma?
As to who divides more, really? I would have accepted equal responsibility but to say it’s all one-sided is just illogical. I see nothing to unify us since November of 2024. Do you?
Jefferson didn’t believe that the constitution should be rewritten. You lying sack of shit. You’re big on “proving “ as you say. Prove it or go back to sniffing bicycle seats. And I’m interested in your proof that Trump is a Nazi. Is it because he’s trying to stop the wasting of our tax dollars? And he’s just getting started MAGA. It’s scary to imagine if the token ho had won. Thank God it was too big to steal. So go play your secret games and stfu.
My oh my Seth, you seem a bit off center. You ask for proof, you obviously don’t know, can’t be bothered to check, but instead unleash a plethora of vitriolic terms and names. You call me a lying sack of shit, something about your sexual perversions, and lies. I have never said Trump is a NAZI, I said he kept the handbook: “Ivana claims Trump kept Hitler quotes by bed in resurfaced interview” The Independent, 12/19/2023 based on a 1990 Vanity Fair story.
BUSTED. Should have looked first.
On the second, and this gets funny, it appears you feel I laid a big fat lie out there about Jefferson. Amazing that you believe I would try to pull the wool over your eyes with such an outlandish story. And, of course, you open your mouth and stick your foot right in it because you didn’t check.
“Thomas Jefferson thought that each generation should rewrite its own founding document. A constitutional scholar talks about the changes that could have happened if Americans had taken Jefferson up on his challenge.” Governing, 9/4/2022.
AI overview: “Yes, Thomas Jefferson believed that each generation should have the right to write its own constitution, arguing that “the earth belongs to the living, and the dead have neither powers nor rights over it,” essentially stating that each new generation should be able to govern itself based on its own needs and circumstances.”
“In the letter, Jefferson states that each new generation has a right to choose for itself “the form of government it believes most promotive of its own happiness.” That every 20 years, the state constitution should be handed off to the next generation to amend and repair as they see fit.”
Jefferson Memorial Education Series: Each New Generation, National Park Service on Jefferson Memorial inscriptions
There are many other sources and letters from Jefferson on the topic. You are a fool to say elsewise, or what you did say about me.
BUSTED again, you are on a roll.
I strongly suggest you watch the 6-part Jeffersonian documentary on PBS with Larry’s favorite historian in prime position. Larry was not invited. I learned a lot. I always thought Jefferson was our founding pussy, yells a lot about rebellion, blood from trees, but never lifts a gun. I amend my concept after hearing about the English trying to find him, to get him. Not quite the pussy I thought, but still a nerd with great ideas, the best in conveying them in writing and a strong believer in everything your party does not trust today: science, medicine, education, and technology. His tombstone says it all. And again, if you read his first inauguration speech, given after an election making Trump’s affairs look tame, you will see how much he differs from the revenge, retribution, and personal attack policies of your Felon King.
I await your apology, probably that you are not man enough, to deliver.
As to Washington, the State, the Flag, whatever……. Any researcher will find it hard to find faults in Washington and when he gave up the Presidency, good luck putting this guy down…… I don’t know what they are thinking.
Also, and the big one; what does it cost Washington to change the State name, or even just the flag? How many millions that might be spent better, elsewhere. Anywhere elsewhere.
I think they should call themselves: “the state formally known as Washington” and put the Prince symbol on their flag.
In their tantrum over the flag, Demmies missed the more obvious “insult” – the state’s name. When they remember it’s “Washington,” they may come for the name. 🙂
Yesterday I attended a Baptist church. We all stood up to sing a song from the hymn book. The lady who was seated in front of me had her dress in her butt crack. I pulled it out and she slapped me. I tried to put it back and she slapped me again. Why can’t women make up their minds?
Lesson learnt – leave women’s dresses and butts alone no matter how they are playing together. Focus on the song at the Baptist church 🙂
A guy visited our church. He was a queer. The pastor said that the visitor could pick the first two hymns. The guy stood up and pointed at two young handsome men and said “I’ll take him and him”.
LOLS!
How do you get a conservative to change a lightbulb?
Tell him Obama put it in
