“The View” Showcases Left-Wing Ignorance Regarding Families and Children

The recent segment on “The View” reacting to a CPAC speech showcased a stunning display of left‑wing ignorance about children, families, and the demographic realities facing the United States. The CPAC clip that triggered the panel featured a speaker urging Americans to “have babies, get married, and build strong families” — arguing that national renewal depends on a healthy new generation. This message—rooted in long‑standing demographic concerns—was met with open hostility from several of The View’s co‑hosts.

Sara Haines dismissed the idea outright, claiming it “wraps a woman’s worth up in her ovaries” and insisting the world has “over 8 billion people,” as if global population totals erase America’s own fertility crisis.

Sunny Hostin called the message “reckless,” citing economic pressures and the Democrats current talking-point, affordability.

Ana Navarro framed it as an intrusion on bodily autonomy – a ridicules response since the CPAC speaker was not advocating forced childbirth.

Even more ridiculous was Whoopi Goldberg, who reacted with disbelief — invoking racial history and implying that calls for more children echoes past racial oppression.

Goldberg’s framing is not only historically inaccurate but inverted. In the Democrat-controlled Jim Crow southland, the racist policies of the era were aimed at reducing Black births, not encouraging them. State‑sanctioned forced sterilizations, coercive medical procedures, and eugenics programs disproportionately targeted Black women. Goldberg’s ass-backwards response is, itself, racist, misguided and deeply ironic.

Meanwhile, the demographic facts are not in dispute. America’s fertility rate has fallen to roughly 1.6 births per woman, far below the replacement level of 2.1. Economists and Sociologists warn that a shrinking younger generation threatens Social Security, the labor force, economic growth and long‑term national vitality. Nations that have ignored these trends— such as China, Japan, South Korea and Italy—now face severe population declines, economic stagnation, and collapsing social systems.

Against this backdrop, the dismissive rhetoric of the ladies of The View appears profoundly ignorant and out of touch with reality. Their strident left-wing feminist opinions expressed on the show are not only anti‑family but emblematic of a cultural trend that trivializes the importance and benefits of two-parent families raising the next generation of children. No nation can thrive without a sufficient replacement generation. Pretending otherwise is not feminine empowerment. It is demographic denialism.

So, there ‘tis.

Author Note: The subject of the critical importance of the two-parent nuclear family to the future of society is detailed in a soon to be released book by Timothy J. Kaelin and this writer entitled, “The Family Neighborhood” with the subtitle, “A Blueprint to Reverse Family Decline and To Spark Cultural Renewal Across America.”

Sounds a bit gay to be spending your days watching The View. Not that there’s anything wrong with that 😊

Frank Danger … The dots in your brain are not connecting, old man. This response makes no sense whatsoever. It is not relevant, not cleaver …. just stupid. Seems like more pure garbage nuttiness from a failing mind.

Larry, while humor is subjective, I agree, that was just not funny. Sorry, my bad. Given some of your clinkers, I am sure you understand. Remember the watermelon? Or was it fried chicken?

Frank Danger …. You might be surprised, but my Black friends loved the watermelon, fried chicken cultural humor. They get it. You are just too political correct and woke to appreciate it. That is how the left kills humor. What do you think of the movie Blazing Saddles. One of the funniest ever — but could not be made today. Pity.

Bending; you still have not stepped up and proved my lies as you accused. It’s been days and you just can’t respond. Nor did you apologize about lying about me. Got to be one or the other.

Dunger is dodging the question. He’s lied about everything and now he’s lying about it being ok to be queer If he had cared he would be on the news networks instead of a posting site

Uncle Dung; until you boys prove a lie, with facts and sources; why would I respond to more drivel. Either prove me a liar, find a lie, or be a man and apologize for your mistake.

‘Ok to be queer’? Of course it’s ok to be queer, just like it’s okay to be blond, have blue eyes or need glasses. To think otherwise just shows complete ignorance of the facts on your part…

I am a Democrat; I guess Larry would brand me a “leftist” although I prefer “liberal.” I have never watched The View and probably never will. I question why Larry spends his days watching MS NOW and The View. I am hoping he just wrote this from the FOX News story. Any other time, Larry would only discuss The View in terms of low ratings which I guess he can’t legitimately do.

The story talks about a speaker whose claim to fame is being an “influencer.” I question today’s world where people demand influencing and people earn a living doing so. Strange times. Isabel just landed a gig with The Daily Wire, had a baby, moved to DC, and, like a reformed smoker proselytizing the joys of quitting, Isabel talks the joys of diapers, no sleep, and end-of-life for her carefree 20’s and believes it’s our duty to do the same. I know the feeling, feel the joys, would never wish it on anyone except to say I loved it, and still love it. But telling someone else they should have kids, much less it’s their patriotic duty —- not this guy.

Isabel: “My daughter Isla (Isla James Belcher),” (how lame is that, and is Dad, Brock, neutered? I am sorry, but how tough will grade school be for a Belcher? And why not a Brown?) has given me such a powerful perspective on why we are fighting for what we’re fighting for,” Brown shared. “I feel more motivated to make a difference, to transform culture from the inside out for her generation.” She better start on getting papers ready, because this family gonna go through hell to get registered to vote….(joking)

That said, I glimpsed the baby shot in a onesie labelled Isla and I take all my snark back. She’s so cute, oh my, so many memories coming back, these kids without kids are fooooools. Then again, her last name is BELCHER….

That said, indeed our population is shrinking, not growing, and to the tortured pain of magarats, especially the racist, white supremacist, faction it’s more troubling for the white race than the brown race in America. This has zero effect on the Democratic Jim Crow South that only exists in the mind of Horist now; he still can’t get over it, I think he was there. I blame the Catholics, but realize, like my heritage, our first generation had huge families — I can show you a house outside of Scranton where two families, over 20 kids, made their start. Looks like a hotel. My namesake came in 1866, 9 kids, piker. The next generations, about two kids per family.
Many kids (they’re kids to me) in our family remain childless; at this point I am hoping they take Larry’s route of adoption as he seems to have thrived in building his family that way. And yes, I am a bit pissed at my toils, tribulations, and sacrifice to build a multi-generational wealth that may only see one more generation. I could of have that vet. That’s life and I would never intrude as Isabel or Larry might. I would also never condemn as The View seems to do.

The other day I saw a PSA on having kids. While I know it’s important to discuss, to know, I felt sickened at the thought of being told what to do: especially dealing with such a sensitive subject. What’s next: shun the childless? Forced pregnancies without chance of abortion? Oh wait, Republicans already made that a possibility, by law.

For my family, at the heart of the matter are 1) economics as in they feel they can’t support a family at the same level they were supported, that’s bogus, I have them covered, 2) politics as in they don’t want to raise a child in this world, and that’s not left or right, but the entire world we created including both left and right, and 3) they like their lives (hey, that one I cannot push back on, I like their lives too… and while I would never trade family for that, it sure looks grand). In other words, they don’t want to have kids in the world you and I created because it sucks and they believe they have little chance to improve their situation. Therefore, they will not change no matter how much you whine or try to “influence” them, we must change the world to change their view.

Like I have been saying, we are in this together, we rise or fall together, and screaming like babies at each other is just not productive. We have serious issues, tumultuous times, and need serious, adult discussion, to come to compromise and conclusion. When you look at the likes of BenDung, SethDung, UncleDung, WillieatsDung, you see my point. They hate, but can’t even discuss subject beyond their spew of hatred. They have zero depth and cannot hold a discussion, much less even a thought. I blame our educational system.
Good article to bring out the issue, but frankly, both sides offer pretty suck recommendations and no solutions.

PS: who the $%$%T is Tim and why in God’s green Earth would I buy his book, self-published, no doubt? Is he some kind of influencer? Heh, heh.

Frank Danger …. You do a lot of assuming. I am not a regular viewer of The View. But as a writer of politics and current events, I find it necessary to cover a full range of news and entertainment. And I explore the Internet a lot — all sides — since it is the news source of choice for the younger (under 40) generation. It is the only way to get proper perspective. It fills in the gaps omitted by the biased outlets since there is no such thing as objective journalism any more. From you comments, I assume you are a guy who like to get information from inside your own silo. That does not make one fully informed. FYI … My parents had four boys (two for one). I had three bio kids by two wives (one for one). Two of them do not have kids and one is currently expecting my first grandchild (one for three). The childless crisis is not racist. Wwe would all be better off is you “liberals” did not play the race card so often. America needs more kids … period.

Larry, I was just ribbing a bit. No, I do not need to watch The View to get a full range of news and views, their news is a repeat, and their views are not mine, nor will they change them. I don’t need to slam my nose between two bricks to know it hurts. I still find it funny thinking about Horist huddled by the TV watching ladies on The View spew.

I do not restrain myself to a “silo,” and you know better based on sources listed in my comments.

How come you did not tally your adopted children?

No, I do not think our population trend is a racist crisis, what I said was: “to the tortured pain of magarats, especially the racist, white supremacist, faction it’s more troubling for the white race than the brown race in America” which is not a racist crisis but might be a crisis for the fraction of your party that are racists.

Your next commentor proves my point as R. Hamilton says: “Even if those leftists acknowledged the need to avoid a falling population, they’d want the replacements to be socialist third-worlders, not successful culturally western capitalists.” Hmm, sounds ominously similar to Replacement Theory.

As to chicken, watermelon, and your bestest black friend; sorry, but most blacks find fried chicken and watermelon jokes demean blacks by highlighting racist stereotypes harkening back to slavery. How can you miss that? Why would you push back and defend what you do? You may find it funny, your friend may laugh, but most feel it’s demeaning to blacks and racist. And you left out the chitlings and collard greens. Can “massa” be far behind, where is the line?

You say “America needs more kids…..period” out of one side of your face and “deport those kids” out of the other side of your face. Weird. You claim I am overly politically correct to force egalitarianism on you, but you have been forcing more upon America with every day. You tell us we must breed, you tell us we do not have the right to control our own bodies, you arrest us for speaking truths, threaten to pull licenses too.

Blazing Saddles is funny but shouldn’t be. Face it, we grew up watching Errol Flynn kiss em and then kiss em again when they said “no.” Captain Kirk’s typical move in response to the question: “what is love?” Face it, we were trained to laugh when others demeaned. Likewise, Maureen O’Hara probably goes down as the “most spankable:” three times. Ball only got it twice, I think. Took O’Hara a week for the bruises to subside from that coal shovel. One of my favorites, the Thin Man series has a good smattering of racist comments and stereotype portrayals. I honestly don’t have a good answer what to do; I hate the thought of burning books, so to speak, but to blithely condone this shit is wrong too. I hate the idea of punishing folks for transgressions, because I might be first to go. Your pushing back, using one black man as your evidence, may seem manly to you, but I think it’s up to a gentleman to say, no, that was off-color; the harder row to hoe. You mention Seinfeld, a show we watched with religious passion. Over the years, on the reruns, I note that show existed by putting people down for personal attributes. While it highlights unique characters, it also demeans folks for being different than the “in crowd.” In retrospect, that’ not funny, it’s mean.

These jokes about stereotyping race, religion, appearance, gender and such are the ez ones to make up. Your name is Horist: if that’s German, have I got a joke for you! If it’s Slavic, our blood might have mingled and the jokes on both of us. But to create and tell a joke without demeaning someone, some place, whatever, now that’s a trick apparently too tough for Seinfeld to handle. It can be done and it’s usually funnier.

Larry, I still fail miserably at this, but at least I recognize the issue. I try to learn and grow and have little issue with it when others do it. I may point it out, but not rabid about it. When accused, like you, I sluff it off. I try to get a little better as time goes by but mostly I leave this battle to the next generation, who, like I have said in the past, often have more of a woke attitude not growing up with Errol and the gang as we did. Frankly, I am amazed that a guy like you who is so invested in systemic racism cannot see the similar process identified by woke. Insidious, hidden, seemingly harmless, until you step back and look at it from 30,000 feet and realize, this stuff sucks and we can do better without sacrificing who we are.

Tell you what buddy, I will drop the woke/pc stuff when you drop the systemic racism stuff.

Not on my part Mike f I get my information from my King James Bible. God made Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve. The apostle Paul had plenty to say about the matter. Queers are either mentally unstable or demon possessed. Take your pick. But don’t worry. Jesus Christ will forgive all sins and you won’t have to even change your political views. Jesus died on a cross and arose from the dead just for sinners like you and I. Yes, my sins separated me from God until I truly believed on Him. Read the Bible with an open mind and see what happens.
