Rick Santorum launches Presidential bid
Former Congressman, former Senator and 2012 Presidential Candidate Rick Santorum has announced he will be running for President of the United States in 2016. Santorum, a social conservative and family advocate stated he would “strengthen the first economy, the American Family.” He further stated “every child has a birthright to be raised by parents in a healthy home.”
Santorum stated each child is entitled to a “customized education to maximize their potential” and he wants to “drive a stake into the heart of common core.”
Santorum is also starting early linking Hillary to Obama, and took a shot at Obama “Commander in Chief is not an entry level position” and not right for “on the job training.”
He also established his support for veterans, lamenting the long lines at VA hospitals for soldiers who have risks their lives for their country.
Political pundits have noted Santorum mounted a surprisingly strong campaign in 2012 despite severe limitations in financial support. Santorum has said a major lesson learned is to secure funding and that he has that remedied in this election.
