Red Cross Helping Illegals Cross the Border?
The American Red Cross has been assisting illegal aliens in crossing the southern border to get into America, new documents obtained by media have revealed. And to make this invasion possible, the organization is using millions of taxpayer dollars.
Last week, The Daily Caller exclusively obtained documents showing that the American Red Cross has provided maps and guides to illegal immigrants on their journey to the US-Mexico border.
The maps, carrying the organization’s logo, mark the resources in Mexico and Central America where the migrants can get the necessary support to complete their journey to enter the U.S. These include places to stay (hotels and shelters) and get treatment and medical supplies (clinics) on various routes leading to different cities along the US border.
The story shows images of the maps and illustrated guides with the American Red Cross logos and adds:
The organization also has a guide to “self care” along the journey, which includes tips on how to survive the desert and disease, how to safely jump on trains, and how to obtain contraceptives.
While this supply of informational material to illegal immigrants seems an obvious facilitation of their journey, the American Red Cross denies that it encourages immigration.
Responding to a request for comment by The Daily Caller, the organization insisted that its distribution of helpful information to migrants was “strictly humanitarian” and meant to “prevent the loss of lives and to promote a humanitarian approach.”
The Daily Caller noted that the American Red Cross sits on the board of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and last month received $350 million from the Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
The task of the organization, along with other nonprofits, is allocating funds for migrant support after the migrants have crossed the border into the United States.
As the news of the migrant support by the American Red Cross came out, House Republicans are calling on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate the issue. Congressman Tom Tiffany of WI and Congressman Lance Gooden of TX wrote a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland wherein they stated that providing such guides could be in violation of federal law that criminalizes it to encourage, aid, or abet migrants seeking illegal entry into the U.S.
The American Red Cross also called also known as the American National Red Cross, is one of the leading nonprofit organizations with billions of dollars in annual revenue and hundreds of millions in government funds. Forbes included the American Red Cross in its 20 largest charities in the United States in 2022, with the organization bagging an annual revenue of over $3 billion, of which $835 million came from private support.
In the past, the organization has been accused of misusing or stealing half a billion dollars in earthquake relief funds in Haiti in the wake of the devastating earthquake in 2010.
STOP DONATING to the red cross I have and this includes blood
Salvation Army as well. They have aid stations set up all along the routes through Mexico to help the illegals get to our border. I didn’t give them a dime at Christmas like I usually do since I learned that information.
I have never donated any money to the Red Cross because during WW2 they charged our soldiers for cigarettes and coffee. My cousin who was in the army told his mother to stop donating to them because of this.
They did start charging because the Brits charged and they aske us to. It was not liked.
As to Mexico, yes both do provide humanitarian support but the Red Cross version is a year or two old news and they have responded a number of times, as does the Salvation Army saying:
it’s humanitarian support, especially to asylum seekers that are supported by the US as an international agreement amongst numerous developed nations. Trump desecrated that agreement for four years. at least that’s what they claim.
do you not want to support asylum seekers?
the story is a few years old, the dempsey is diving deep into the dumpster for yesterday’s news. plus, his “In the past, the organization has been accused of misusing or stealing half a billion dollars in earthquake relief funds in Haiti in the wake of the devastating earthquake in 2010.” is shameful, shoddy journalism reporting a 12 year old allegation that I don’t even have to look up to know they were not convicted of. otherwise this totally adequate cub reporter would have been all over that. like using the word “accused” gets him off the hook. rumor has it he sucks tailpipes to get high. at least that’s what I heard from a reliable source i can not name at this time who told me over a decade ago: wink-wink, nudge-nudge.
The Exact reason I only give to select few charities.
WE STOPPED GIVING TO THE RED CROSS YEARS AGO. WE HEARD NOTHING BUT THINGS ABOUT THEM THAT WEN’T AGAINST OUR VALUES. SO EVERYONE CHECK OUT WHO YOU SUPPORT BEFORE YOU GIVE,
